Error -17501: Unable to Test Environment adapter "C/CVI Std Prototype Adapter"
I use LabVIEW as Windows NT 4.0 shell. When I start TestStand (TS) during the LabVIEW shell I get the Error Message that TS can`t load the C/CVI Adapter (see Attachment). I configured also somthing on the DCOM tool, but that helps nothing. Knows somebody how it is possible to remove the C/CVI adapter from TS or what is neccessary to fix this problem.

Hello Joe,
If I understand correctly, you are using the LabVIEW Operator Interface, right?
How did you install TestStand in that machine? Using the TestStand CD and performing a full installation of TestStand? Or did you create a run-time engine installation?
Were you able to use the Operator Interface without problems before? (If so, what did you do before it stopped working?)
This might be related to the CVI run-time engine that is installed in your computer. If you are using TestStand 2.0, the CVI run-time engine version 5.5.1 or later MUST be installed in the machine. If you don't have it installed or if you have an earlier version, you get some errors.
FYI, the LabWindows/CVI Run-Time Engine is located on the TestStand CD
in the CVRTE folder, or you can download it from the Drivers and Updates library: http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/webcategories/85256410006C055586256BBB002C0E4F?opendocument&node=132060_US

Runtime error in F-48( Test environment error in SAPLGLT0 program )
Hi Expert,
i am getting the run time error while run the F-48 tcode in program "SAPLGLT0" and include "LGLT0FER"
if i do the Extended program check of SAPLGLT0 program i am getting
Test environment error like : The namespace of the program SAPLGLT0 has the setting "C" and cannot be tested A pssible cause for this is that an SAP program is being checked in a customer System
How to correct that ? is any sap note available ?
Thanks and Regards,
GRHi,
Please check the following notes

We see the following error dialog when we launch the CVI full-featured user interface (TestExec.exe):
"Error:
Unable to load test environment adapter 'flxCVIadp.dll'. Run setup to re-install or remove this adapter.
Could not connect to TSAutoMgr.exe server. DCOM permissions might be incorrect because of configuration changes for remote execution. To fix this issue, ensure that the current user is in the default DCOM access permissions or that no users are in the access permissions section of the dcomcnfg.exe dialog box. You can use the dcomcnfg.exe program, located in the Windows System directory, to change DCOM access permissions.
Error code: -17501, Unexpected Operating System Error."
When this error happens, we can't run any calls to CVI code from within the User Interface.
We are running Windows 7. We don't see the error if we run TestExec.exe from the default location:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\TestStand 2013\UserInterfaces\Full-Featured\CVI
We get the error message if we copy the CVI directory to somewhere else on the C:\ drive (C:\MyUserInterface for example). The error happens when we run TestExec.exe directly, but it does not happen if we are already running Labwindows/CVI and we launch TestExec.exe from CVI.
We are seeing this error with both TestStand 4.2.1 and TestStand 2013 running on different PCs. This error happens on Windows 7, but not Windows XP. Though we get the same error with our custom user interface, we see the same error with the stock CVI full-features user interface provided by NI.
Any ideas about why we can run this from the TestStand directories, but not any directory on our C:\ drive?
Thanks,
PeterHi Peter,
Based on the error messages it looks like this might be a Windows 7 security issue, which would be why it doesn't occur on XP since security is handled differently in that OS. Have you gone into dcomcnfg.exe and checked the DCOM permissions as described in the error message? -
Hi,
we are using UCCX 8.5 SU3.
After replacing the actual agent workstations with Windows 7 64-bit we had to face problems with the silent monitoring. (no sound at all and in the CSD the usual error popup "Silent Monitor-Session failed...").
In the CAD logfile I found the errorcode. "ERROR VOIP2037 Unable to open the NIC adapter for sniffing. Please reconfigure the installation."
After investigating the logfiles, starting postinstall.exe a hundred times and reading the Configuring and Troubleshooting VoIP Monitoring Guide.
I just learnt about the wonderful tool nicq.exe.
And so i found out that the driver spcd.sys wasn't installed.
Check in the registry for "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\SPCD"
It seems to me that the "Cisco Supervisor Desktop.msi" never installs the driver one a Windows 7 64-bit.
After starting the NICQ.EXE as administrator the driver is being installed.
Test 1: Check Driver Status
Driver not installed. Attempting to install it...
Driver has now been successfully installed.
SPCD Driver service is not running. Attempting to start it...
SPCD Driver service is now running.
Test 1: SUCCESS
And after that the silent monitoring works again like a charm.
Maybe that info help someone.
kind regards, sebastianExcellent information, this has been driving me crazy for a while now. Once i saw this info I was able to get it resolved rather quickly.
+5 for you, (I tried to click it above but it would not let me.) -

Error: Unable to find any Adapter Engines
Hi all,
I am trying to execute a very simple scenario.
A xml-file is read from a drive by the XI system.
XI reads the values.
Another xml-file containing some parts of this info is written to another location.
I see that the file is read and removed.
However, when I check the monitoring I find follwing error message:
<SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="">

</SAP:Error>
Is there some configuration missing?
We are running XI3.0 SP9.
Thanks in advance.
Kind regardsHi Geert,
My first guess is that something is not configured correctly. Try checking if your adapter engine is registered in the SLD:
In a browser, goto http://host:port/sld. Choose Technical Landscape. Under Technical System Type, select Exchange Infrastructure. You should have an entry like:
"Adapter Engine on cx1.cernum05"
If not, check the settings in Visual Administrator for the SLD Provider service and test the update from here.
Also check your receiver communication channel. Under Adapter Engine, it should say "Integration Server". If it says e.g. af.cx1.cernum05, your SLD has not been updated correctly.

SSRS 2012 Subscription Error in Test Environment
Hi All,
I was trying to set-up Email Subscription for SSRS in my Test Environment using "Reporting Services Configuration Manager" and after providing SMTP server details. I was getting error "Failed to sent Email to [email protected]"
What could be the reason?
I tried pining SMTP IP address from the Machine where SSRS installed and I was able to ping SMTP Server using CMD ping command.
Thanks Shiven:) If Answer is Helpful, Please VoteHi All,
I found the issue. The IP address of Machine, where SSRS server installed, was not included in to the SMTP relay and that's why I was getting error "Failed
to sent Email to [email protected]".
Once my network team, added IP address, it started working fine.
Another thing I noticed, due to some reason SQL Server Agent was stopped and was not running and one
of my colleagues was trying to create new subscription and was getting error 'The SQL Agent service is not running. This operation requires the SQL Agent service. (rsSchedulerNotResponding)'.
Once I started SQL Server Agent, My colleague was able to create new subscription.
Thanks Shiven:) If Answer is Helpful, Please Vote -
Error in JMS receiver adapter: "Error creating initial context with environment"

I have some trouble with a JMS receiver adapter (access to JMS-provider with JNDI).
The message in adapter monitoring is:

The third party assured me that the specified JNDI parameters are right and everything is configured on their site, so it should work...
Might there be a problem with the JMS drivers?

On the internet everybody tells that the best thing to do is to extend the StuckThreadMaxTime. But we are executing only one single process on our own, on a test environment. So this can't be because WL is overloaded. When checking memory it is quite low (regarding its usual load), and there is a lot of available CPU.
The strangest thing is that this error occurs as follow:
An EJB is created correctly (we don't see issues in the logs), but this error occurs when we try to access it for the first time. I guess the SASConnectorService_37hpy3_EOImpl_922_WLStub class is our client proxy, that needs to call our real EJB on another instance of Weblogic. But we see no trace of that EJB on our distant server. It is fully reproducible, since everytime we launch it, we get that error.
If anybody has a lead, or at least a clue, I take it.My guess -
1) Networking issue
2) A long transaction(could be global or your EJB transaction) that you do really need more than 10 mins to finish it.
I would check netstat output for 1) and time the EJB transaction.
If your server is not hang and still accepting request, you can actually ignore it. Or you can tune stuck thread max time higher(longer time allow for stuck warning) so this message will stop bugging. -

I checked the DB Adapter XADataSourceName its pointing to jdbc/soademoDatabase.
Even I searched all the 'weblogic-ra.xml' files, there <jndi-name> is pointing to "eis/DB/SOADemo" like in the following way.
*<jndi-name>eis/DB/SOADemo</jndi-name>*
But still its giving error.
Please help me;
Its urgent ......
Thanks in Advance.Hi
I am working on the same example and came across the same error. I have tried re configuring the database and also re created the database adapter in JDeveloper. But it still shows up.
If you are following the tutorial, it says to set the name of the JNDI Name as "soademoDatabase". and not soademodatabase.
I entered this name first when I created the database Resource during Configuration for the sample application. and followed the name soademoDatabase whenever required.
when adding the DB Adapter in JDeveloper (step 3 Service Connection), it asks for the JNDI Name. I entered the JNDI name then

Steps to Restore Production DB to Test Environment?
Hi All,
I encountered a difficulty on restoring a production DB to a test environment on BPC (Microsoft) and would like to seek everyone assistance on how to do it,
so far the steps that I did,
1. Installed fresh BPC APP and DB with different set of hostname than prod.
2. verify the fresh installation BPC APP and DB is working
3. restore the AppServer DB from production to newly created BPC DB
4. update record in AppServer in BPC DB to point into this hostname, since restoration of the AppServer DB will point to the production hostname
5. restore our BPC Database e.g. BPC from production to newly created BPC DB.
until this step then I hit issue that BPC DB can't be updated, it able to load the template but the unable to update the record.
any pointer on how to fix this error?
Thank you,
Regards,
UraHi Ura,
first of all I see you have a lot of opened questions. Please remember that is your duty to close the discussion when solved showing the "corrrect answer" this will help in future other users with same issue, see please How to close a discussion and why
Regard to the question you should give more informations about your systems and bpc version installed on these, in the meanwhile you can look at these linkw about backup to verify if they give you a hint.

Unable to test the report through 9IDS.
Steps done By me till now:
1. Started OC4J Instance.----Successfully Started.
2. To test, I typed the following URL in the browser and it shows the default report page.
URL is : http://localhost:8888/reports ----this also ok.
(Also checked ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/oracle9iDS/config/default-web-site.xml)--This is ok like in that I check for <web-site-host="myMachineName", port=8888 and DisplayName="..".
N.B: I don't have the file name http-web-site.xml but default-web-site.xml (Already checked after changing the name of default-web-site.xml to http-web-site.xml but nothing happens).
3. Then I placed my reports under the following directory:
C:/ORACLE_HOME/reports/j2ee/reports_ids/web/MyReportName.RDF
4. I typed the following URL to invoke the report:
http://localhost:8888/rwservlet?report=MyReportName.RDF&UserId=<UserName>/<Password>@<DatabaseName>&Orientation=Landscape&Destype=Cache&DesFormat=HTMLCSS
It Gives me the following errors:
Error:110 :Unable to open File "MyReportName.RDF"
Error:1070 :Error while opening or saving a document.
Error:0110 :Unable to open File "MyReportName.RDF"
Can any suggest me some solution.Hi,
That error generally means that it can't find your report, although you will also get that problem if you've ftp'd the .rdf file in ascii mode rather than binary and then tried to run it. Try http://localhost:8888/rwservlet/showenv. That should show you the environment variables the server is running with. You can check the REPORTS_PATH env var to see if it's pointing at the directory that you put your .rdf in.
Hope that helps,
