Error -17502 with MSG popup/custom fonts, DellTouch Hot Keys 2.10 is installed

I installed the Message popup with custom fonts in Teststand 3.0 and it worked. After I installed DellTouch Programmable Hot Keys 2.10 s/w get error -17502 when trying to edit the msg. Also I have another PC with XP,TS 3.0 and no Dell hot key s/w that get edit error

I think I answered another question for you on this same subject a little while ago. The link to that post can be found here. Is this the same problem that you are seeing? If so, were you able to debug the program and see what particular line is giving you the error?
Also, in your question above, I'd just like to confirm that you see the error whether or not you have DellTouch Programmable Hot Keys 2.10 installed.

I was in your same situation with 14 downloads and 14 attempts.
You have to make sure that your Mac is booting into 64 bit mode. You can make sure of this by going into System Preferences and scrolling down to 'Software' and making sure that you are booding with 64 bit Kexts.
If not, restart while holding the 6 and 4 keys down until you see the spinning gear wheel and try installng again.
BUT, what I also did was to go into Applications, click on the Lion installer, Get Info, and give yourself custom priviliges to Read And Write.
I did this simultaneously, and I don't know what function did it, but it worked for me, with no further downloads of the installer.

I got an error message with updating my iTunes and now its saying I need to re-install iTunes. How do I do that

When I was prompted there was an update on iTunes I did as usual and began installing the update. Something happened during that time and I got an error saying it didn't download correctly. Now when I go to open iTunes it gives me an error message and says I need to re-install the program. I'm not sure how to do that. I am also concerned that I will lose all of the things that I have backed up from my phones, purchases, apps, etc. Can anyone please give me some insight on what to do?

Error when export report to PDF with a none standard Windows font

Hi,
I got this error when trying to export PDF under VS2008 with an special true type font in the code behind. The error says:

In the crystal reort under VS2008, I use a special font which is true type and it is already installed in the system, I can see the font in many other software like Word, Notepad, etc... without any problem.
Is anyone know how to fix it? please help.

I trid the SP, but doesn't work. I can send the font to you, it is only 50K. If you would like to try I can send it to you, but i am not sure how i can upload the font file. I guess any none Windows standard font will have same issue, i guess.
For now, i am going to give up and use image file instead.

I would not mind testing this, but I need to know if there is a free download of this font available. I Googled the font name, but a quick search did not come up with anything.
Alternatively, you could try CR 2008 (12.x) and see if that will do the trick for you. An Eval of CR 2008 is available here:

Error in opening draft email saved with msg extension

I am attempting to create a email and save it on local hard disc. The email is a file having msg extension. So that it can be opened with MS Outlook. Also I want it to be in DRAFT mode. Like we can create draft email with MS Outlook. This message will have multiple attachmets.
Thus when user opens this file, it will get opened with MS Outlook and user will be able to edit the message text, TO/CC list, attachments.
I am using MimeMessage.writeTo(Outstream) API to save the message to a file, say C:\test.msg
But if I double click test.msg in explorer to open it, it gives error:
Can't open file C:\test.msg. The file may not exist, you may not have permissions to open it, or it may be open in another program.

Outlook Msg files aren't as easy to write as you would believe. They are a propretary format that microsoft uses based on the DocFile format that Word and Excel uses.
If you did the MimeMessage.writeTo(out) and saved it to a .eml file Outlook Express will open it, but Outlook doesn't directly read this file type.
I've started on a library to allow the creation of Outlook msg files, right now it only allows you to set text, dates, long, and boolean values on the email message (which means you can set stuff like the recieved date/time, subject, body, to, from, etc), but it does not yet support attachments or extra recipents (CC, BCC, etc). I'll be updating the copy on my site as soon as I get the other stuff working (which isn't as easy as it sounds).

System Level Exception, error -17502 when running VI with RunTime Engine

My sequence conains a single Labview VI. The sequence functions correctly with the Labview RunTime engine NOT selected in the "Advanced Setttings" tab. When I enable the check box to always run the VI with the Runtime Engine, TestStand generates the following error "System Level Exception, error -17502. My teststand version is 3.5, with LV 8.2.

Firefox keeps prompting me for password with the popup

Firefox at my work computer keeps prompting for password with the popup message "The proxy moz-proxy://proxy:9119 is requesting a username and password. The site says: "moz-proxy://proxy:9119"" This happens too often,even If i provide the username and password I get the next popup with same message.
Its very annoying, I am not finding web better because of this, I goggled and figured about the config settings of - network.automatic-ntlm-auth.allow-proxies and the other one not working.
I guess I am missing the PAC URL or something which I remember like solved the problem sometime back but not in same domain though.

Gets error "-17502; System Level Exception" while running the custom Step in NI TestStnad 2010

I have a custom teststand step which works like For loop in TestStand. Previously I was using LV 2009 and NI TestStand 4.2.1 and this step was working fine. Recently I upgraded my system to LV 2010 and TestStand 2010, since that it is not working.
When I run the step it gives error "-17502; System Level Exception". I have attached error screenshot.
I am using NIFlowControl.dll in this step.
Please do the needful.

The source code for NIFlowControl.dll ships with TestStand. Did you perhaps
1) modify the code and rebuild this dll in teststand 4.2.1, but did not move your changes into the 2010 version and recompile the 2010 version?
Or
2) Move your 4.2.1 version of this dll to 2010 in which case it might be missing important code that exists only in the 2010 version. It's best to redo your code changes to the 2010 version and recompile that if needed.
Also ideally your modified version of NIFlowControl.dll should be located in the teststand public directory rather than the program files directory.

Define "does not work". What happens?
Does your program compile? Do you get an exception? Does the program receive a line? Is the line equal to whatever you expect? Is showMessageDialog() called? Put in some debugging println's to see what happens.

Report erroring out with 'Invalid parameter requested' in Siebel.

I have 9 parameters on a template, excluding the two delivered out-of-the-box by siebel to enter the Language and Locale. Recently, if i enter a language value of 'ESP' ( or any other language value), it errors out with 'Invalid parameters requested' error. On reviewing the OC4j log file, i noticed that the language parameter ('ESP') is actually being applied to another parameter in my template that accespts only 'Yes/No' boolean values. This occurs randomly, there is no particular pattern to this.

Sending and saving mail message with .msg extension

How can I save the mail message when sending with .msg extension , so that when user click on the saved message it will open in OutLook Express. ?

I already tried the one u suggest , MimeMessage has a method
writeTo(OutputStream) which can be used to save the message with .msg extension .... But the main problem arises when trying to open it in OutLook .....
It gives some error .... I think that it may be because of format .. .msg has binary format while MimeMessage is in another format ....
is there any way to convert MimeMessage to binary and then save it in .msg file .

When running the Testand application, I have no problems when I measure the RMS_LEVEL or PEAK_FREQUENCY. When making the THD_NOISE measurement, I get allmost all the time after the function call, the following Testand error:
An error occured that prevented the error status of a sequence from being reported.
System Level Exception.
Error code:-17502
It seems that the issue is linked to the HarmonicAnalyzer function, because if I comment the HarmonicAnalyzer call, I do not get the error any more.
Any ideeas on what could be wrong would be higly appreciated.

I agree that it seems to be related to the HarmonicAnalyzer function. It is an additional function call as compared to the "PEAK_FREQUENCY" case.  You may want to single step into that function.
The error message indicates that TestStand caught an access violation or some unexpected non-TestStand exception. This can occur when calling a code module that generates an access violation or more likely in this case; when calling a code module with an argument list that does not match the actual parameter list.
For instance, when calling a dll function incorrectly ( ie passing a I16 instead of a I32 in the parameters).
Try single stepping into your code and make sure that all your reference are valid if and when you call/release them.  Also double check the parameters list.

"The TestStand error -17502 is TS_Err_OS_Exception which suggests that the CVI DLL is executing some code that is causing an access violation or some other type of exception. TestStand catches this unexpected exception and tries to recover by just displaying a run-time error for the step. You will have to review your code and possibly trace the code to try to figure out where the exception is being thrown. I believe that CVI 7.0 can trap exceptions. If you debug the TestStand application using CVI and debug your DLL, does CVI display a message box saying that an exception occurred? Does the debug output window of CVI show any exception information?"
