Error -19 for ipod touch when upgrading to 2.0.2
hey, when i update to 2.0.2, its says that it was error (-19)
I use a 2.0 ipod touch
Yeah, I tried a couple of times and it finally worked... but it wiped it out and restored a previous version... that was a pain because I had bought an app... now I have to find a way of getting it again...

ITunes 9 & iPhone 3.1.1: no apps appear in sidebar for iPod Touch when sync
the new feature for managing apps on iPod Touch in iTunes is darkened and doesn't work or respond to clicks/attempts to drag apps etc. Also, no apps category appears under the iPod Touch device listed in the sidebar of iTunes when it is connected to the iMac (music, podcasts, etc are listed there).
Also, I noticed I have two more apps on the Touch than are stored in the apps section of iTunes (I did not sync the last apps with iTunes 8 before replacing it with iTunes 9). One is "Google Book Search" which I could not find in the iTunes store to put in my iMac collection (to match the contents of the iPod Touch); the other is "Rick Steve's Orsay Tour" which I found in the store but didn't want to chance having to pay for again ($4.99) when prompted to 'buy' it. (I had thought perhaps if I matched the iMac and iTouch apps that the new feature would somehow work; but I know I don't really have any idea if that will work at all.)
Is this a bug in iTunes 9 or did I seriously mess up by not syncing the Touch in the previous iTunes?
What can I do to have the iPod Touch's apps appear in the sidebar; and have the new feature for managing the apps in iTunes work on my iMac?

I too am seeing this problem. I think it is tied to the ability to adjust the apps and what page they appear on. The reason being that I keep un-selecting and re-selecting apps trying to flip something that will cause it to work. When I do the apps randomly (at least I cannot see a pattern) move around on different tabs. I just purchased two new apps and those wont even appear on the phone nor will apps that I have in itunes but had removed from my phone. -
How do i fix unknown error (6) for ipod touch
I got an update for my ipod touch and after updating a error occoured. So i clicked ok and it sayd i need to restore and update it. It was the only option so i did that and after restoring and all the rest after it finishes an error pops up An unknown error has occoured (6). And ive tried multiple things. Ive tried holding home button and the sleep button and ive uninstalled itunes twice and re-installed it done all the apple suggestions to fix it but nothing works. Someone help me out.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!...i tried everything so far except throwing the ipod at the wall!!...it started when i tried syncing my 64gb 3rd generation iTouch to my iTunes for windws. everything was fine until midway during the sync itsaid (error-54) then everyhing became unresponsive. I erased all content from the ipod, nothing worked. So i reset it, still nothing. ..then i deleted everything off om my computer (a Compaq Presario CQ 56 with windows 7) i had all content saved already on an external hardrive. i erased ALL photos, ALL music, etc...then i deleted iTunes+ restarted my computer+ ran my antivirus program to make sure my computer was not corrupted..everything's running properly...so i re-installed iTunes and added all the music again onto it, hooked up the newly reset ipod+ the same problem occurred again and AGAIN!! ...so i had to factory restore the ipod as a last ditch effort, tried again and STILL had this problem!!...i looked up any potential similar issues and found out about the "locked songs", but nothing said HOW to fix this problem with iTunes for WINDOWS!..im not on a mac so i cant use the same steps that they used.....SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!!!!...i know the problem+ the solution now,but just not the correct steps to follow for MY situation!!!....anyone with the answer, please tell my how to do it STEP by STEP, i am good with computers, but get lost easily...need a simple solution!!!!

I was downloading the software update for ipod touch 2gen and after it was done downloading it showed that there was an error with my ipod and when i saw it was on the lockscreen loading. its been like this for 4 hours already
What did the error message say?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Cannot Sync Ipod touch after upgrading to OS 3.0 (error 13001)
I got the error 13001 when I sync after I upgraded my ipod touch (2nd gen) to OS 3.0.
I tried to reinstall itunes and restore the ipod but the problem still cant be solved.
Some topics here said that it can be solved if you do not sync the song with over the sample rate 44.100 kbps. Some post said it can be solved if you create a new library.
It is okay for a few days, but the problem came back again and this time it cannot be solved by creating a new library.
It is ok when I downgrade my firmware back to 2.2.1.
So, I think it is the problem of the 3.0 firmware(7A341), but I want to use the OS 3.0.I know many people got this problem too.
I hope someone can help me and the people got the same problem.I have seen one suggestion that disabling virus scanning during sync works. There seem to be quite a few hits on Google searching for ipod touch error 13001.

I've read some of the forums about the Wi-Fi problems on iPod touches after upgrading to OS 3.0. I haven't upgraded my iPod touch (2g) yet, but I'm planning to. What is the likelihood that my Wi-Fi will fail? How would I be able to fix the problem?How would that be explained?
The entire upgrading process AFTER downloading the 3.0 update took me over one hour! The 'installing and verifying step' took quite a while as did the 'backing up your touch' step. You need to have patience for things to work correctly!!!!
Even with error checking on the download it's possible to get a 'bad' downloaded file. Even with a good downloaded file, there are certainly a number of things you can do during the 'installing and verifying step' to screw things up - like disconnecting your touch or crashing a program running in the background.
My advice is to have nothing else but iTunes (and the installer) running on your computer during the updating process and DON'T panic if it seems to take a long time!!!! Don't foolishly assume the long process means your computer has 'frozen'. -

why does itunes say i have the latest version 4.2.1 (8c148) for my 3rd gen iPod touch when it should be iOS 5?
Be sure it is really a 3rd gen. Some people with 2nd gens were told they were 3rd gens. Identifying iPod models or Look up specs by Serial Number. If it is a 2nd gen, then you can't upgrade.
IF IT REALLY IS A THIRD GEN iPod Touch, then you first need to upgrade to iTunes 10.5 in order to download iOS 5 because older versions of iTunes don't support and can't sync with iOS 5. -

I have an iPod touch and also have the iHome.... When I first hooked it up it played music fine.....but now when I hook it up it says accessory unavailable for iPod touch and I've resetted it 2 times but still no music comes thru the iHome speakers
If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.
Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store..
If your iPod is defective and not abused Apple will exchange it at no cost.
