Error 1904 "Cannot register ExportSDK.dll" when installing BOXI

When installing BO Entreprise XI Release 2 on my PC WXP SP2, had 2 error messages 1904 "Cannot register dll" on :
- ExportSDK.dll
- importent6.dll
I had to ignore both errors to complete install.
Although BOXI seams to work fine, should I fix the error and how to ?

Could you please test the following solutions to resolve the issue?
Solution1:
1. Log in as u2018Computer Administratoru2019.
2. Make sure that no anti-virus program or spy ware is running on your machine.
3. Copy and paste all the installation files of BOXI to your local drive of your machine.
4. Start the installation by running the setup file from your local machine.
5. Click ignore to all the 1904 errors you get while installing and it should finish the install process
6. Once the install is complete, go to the Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs and reinstall BOXI.
7. The installation the second time should register those dlls without error
8. After successful installation, restart your machine.
9. Open BOXIR2 and let me know what happens

Solution2:
You need to disable the DEP option for all services and programs other than those needed by the Operating System, before installing the product.
To disable DEP:
1) Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Advanced tab > Settings button > Data Execution Prevention tab.
2) Select the top radio button and restart the system for changes to take effect.
3) Upon completing these steps, you can now successfully install the product.
Solution3:
Sometimes we fail to register the .DLL using REGSVR32 because in the system there is the alias copy of these DLLs. Therefore, could you please check the system folders that is there any alias .DLLs are present for ExportSDK.dll and Import6.dll if there is any such .DLLs could you please remove the dlls and try to register again.

Below is the scenario of what am doing and the error am getting. Please shed some light and share ur ideas on this.
1 . I used the below maxl statement and logged out all the sessions on the application by force.
alter system logout session on application <appname> force;
2. After logging out the sessiosn, am using the below maxl statement to unload the application,
ALTER SYSTEM UNLOAD APPLICATION <appname>;
but am getting error as "*ERROR - 1013113 - Cannot unload database <dbnam>, when it is still in use.*".
Please share your expertise to eliminate this abnormality of essbase.

I found that sometimes after a EAS command (for instance a export data) is finished (correctly finished or not it does not matter in this case) a rudimentary tcp connection from EAS to the essbase server is left open.
You can view this with a generic tcp viewer) on either the eas or the essbase server.
Disconnecting this particular tcp connection "frees" the essbase DB for further actions.
It is not nesecary to close the proces which keeps the connection open. Since this would kills your essbase application running.
This was really a pain in the $% for the last years since before I always had to kill the application process. Perhaps I am creating a case at Oracle to solve the initial cause, but for the moment this helps me a lot. I did not have time to see if the same occurs after maxl processes. But I doubt it happens there. The cause can be in the weblogic timeouts and behaviour at the EAS server.

A lot of our ComponentWorks DLLs are no longer installed with MeasurementStudio 2013; you'll need to install an older version of MS and then get the DLL from that installation. What version of MS were you using prior to MS2013?
I was able to find cwanalysis.ocx in the MS 8.1.2 install; is the ActiveX server what you're looking for?

Error "The System cannot find the specified" when installing XI3.1 FP1.3

Error "The System cannot find the specified" happened when installing XI3.1 FP1.3 to client machine, however the installation is OK to server.
After the error, go to Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs, and observe.
BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 Client Tools is installed,
but BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 Client Tools Japanese Language Pack is not.
And Language Pack install log is not written.
The same error happened when installing .net2.0.
The installation for FP1.2 is OK.
Would you tell me what reason probablely this issue is?

TS1424 Missing DLL when installing itunes

Downloaded itunes 11 to install on my windows 8 laptop and it will not install. Tells me that I am missing a DLL what needs to be done done to fix the problem?

The cluster service terminated, error 7024, cannot create a file when that file already exists

I have a test 2-node Failover cluster using Server 2012 R2
As of last night the cluster service on one of the 2 nodes is down with this error:
The Cluster Service service terminated with the following service-specific error:
Cannot create a file when that file already exists.
EventID 7024
The Cluster service waits 60 sec, tries to start, and the same error occurs again.
Any idea where to look to identify which file this error is referring to, or how to go about identifying root cause and getting a solution?

Then you can try with a "Add Counter". This will create new file each time with the same name but a counter will be added to the file name at the end specifying the number of times it is created.
You can also the specify the format to create the counter once select this option u can correspondingly fill the Format and step fields.
Will this be fine.

Cannot register CRAXDRT.DLL

I have created a package of my VB6 application, including the necessary DLL for CR XI...
When I launch the setup on another computer at the end of the installation a message says that the CRAXDRT.DLL cannot be registered.
The setup is created with Install Shield 5.5. I do not use merge modules.
Why this DLL cannot be registered?

Hi,
Normally a file won't register because it is missing a dependency file. You can use Dependency Walker (search for it on Google) and see what file(s) might be missing.
BOBJ does not support manual deployment of CR XI runtime files. Only merge module deployments are supported. This is because there are too many files to install, register (or not), etc. to be able to do it manually any more. Here's a link to the CR XI deployment documentation:

I received this error in Adobe support adviser which I had to download because when my Flash Professional cs5.5 trial download was ready to install, the Adobe installer came up and reported the error "Installer failed to initialise".This is why I had to download adobe support adviser. I have scoured the web for a week now for a solution but to no avail. Adobe should have a solution to every single one of their problems when I was probably going to spend a good 500-600 pounds on some software where they cannot correct their errors. They should be the experts not me.

I am having the same problem with my install. I have a Dell XPS 420, dual-cpu, 4gb RAM, dual 500gb HDs, Windows 7 Ultimate. I have CS 5 loaded. I uninstalled it and tried loading CS 5.5, but got the error. I reinstalled CS 5, and tried loading CS 5.5 again - same error. I tried all the the steps listed in the document Install log error "Validate license at Pre-Chrome time" | Creative Suite 5, CS5.5
* I changed the locale
* I am an admin - I right clicked the setup.exe and selected "Run as Administrator"

I get the following error box when trying to install iTunes 9.1.0.79 x64 on my Dell Studio laptop with Vista 64-bit:

I FIXED MINE!! This is what I did:
1. Select "Start", "Run", and type "RegEdt32"(for VISTA "regedit"). Click OK.
2. Select HKEYLOCALMACHINE
3. In the menu, select "Edit", "Permissions". A dialog will come up.
4. Check "Allow" for "Read" and for "Full Control", then click OK
5. Expand HKEYLOCALMACHINE and repeat steps 3, 4 for the keys "Software" and "System"
6. Expand the "Software" key, and repeat steps 3, 4 for "Classes"
7. Expand the "Classes" key, and repeat steps 3, 4 for "Installer"
8. If you have made any changes in steps 1 through 7, skip to step 10. If you did not make any changes, continue with step 9.
9.Open the "Classes" key, and click on "Installer" . In the menu, click "Security", "Permissions." Click the button marked "Advanced." Check "Reset Permissions on all child objects.", then click OK
10. Close the registry editor
11. Reboot the computer
then run iTunes install again.

I am getting the error Installation came back with 17002 when installing Office 365 ProPlus from a network share

I have gotten this error several times, but It works fine on most machines

New to Linux - Getting Error No Space left on device when installing Oracle packages.

Hello all,
I'm new to linux and was in the process of installing the packages needed for Oracle 11g R2 on Ubuntu 12.04 got a message stating that there was no space left. It seems as though I should have plenty of space because I am installing it on 16GB RAM 480 GB HARD DRIVE Machine with nothing else on it but the operating system and Ubuntu Desktop.
It seems I am running out of space in the /root and /var directories and am not sure how to rectify this.
Can someone assist me with this.

df -h is one of the commands that will show you disk usage and partitions size.
Since you have desktop you could check this with some gui tool also.
First aid could be to resize your root partition and add more space to it.
Check on Google for how to resize partition using gparted.
Ubuntu is not certified for Oracle but you could still get the same error with other certified distributions.
First you should plan how and where to install database(where oracle home will be, datafiles etc.), then depending on that how to partition hard disk/s(separate root and home partitions or not, etc.), and then decide what is the appropriate size of your partitions.
