Error 1935. ... HRESULT: 0x80073712 Installation error message. Windows7. Adobe Acrobat Reader 11

Cannot figure out install problem or why it is occuring. The Download and installation runs to about 80% and errors out. Icon even appears for program on desktop around 77% complete and I can open it but aborts setup. I have tried to follow the troubleshooting suggestions by going to
Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run (as adiministrator)
Copy and paste the following text in the Open field and then press Enter
fsutil resource setautoreset true C:\
but to no avail.
Also used Firefox browser but same problem occured.
Only virus protection running is MSE and checked that under internet options security trusted sites that scripting is enabled under custom settings.
Need help! I have seen a few other complaints about this issue but doesn't look like any resolution for those who posted.

I have also seen this error a number of times here in the forum, but I do not know what causes it. It seems to be some kind of conflict with the .NET Framework. Could it be that some update to the .NET Framework is running at the same time? (.NET Framework updates perform assemblies that can run for several hours.)
What I would try if I were to encounter this error:
restart Windows
check with the Task Manager's Processes tab that no batch assemblies are running
try the MSI installer http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.00/en_US/AdbeRdr11000_en_US.msi
then run the 11.0.3 update http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.03/misc/AdbeRdrUpd11003.msp

Problem occurred in Firefox 18.0.2 when a "sign" ID was created in Acrobat 9.5.3 (under Win XP). When sign ID was deleted, now viewing PDFs was enabled, but when printing of viewed PDF was attempted, again got the same error message.

Running Windows 2003 SP2 Terminal Server and receiving this error when trying to uninstall / install adobe reader and acrobat. Originally had Acrobat 8.0.1 and Reader 9.3 installed and users started receiving errors relating to Acrobat. When I tried to uninstall I received the error above.
I have tried everything I can find on the net and in these forums including:
Using control panel to uninstall - no deal
Re-install Acrobat
Checking / changing registry permissons including checking owner, replacing inherited perms etc
Deleting and recreating the reg entries
Using subinacl
Using Windows Install Cleanup
Manual removal.
I now have uninstalled reader (cleanly) and acrobat however I am still receiving this error when trying to reinstall reader. The permissions are correct so im really stuck. If I cant sort this out I will have no option but to build a new TS machine and I really dont want to do that just because Adobe Reader has buggered my registry permissions.
Any thoughts/ideas greatfully accepted ....

Have tried as two different domain adinistrators and local admin - same error each time. Resigning myself to rebuilding that terminal server which isnt a quick job - it wont be getting any adobe products installed on it!!

You can get that error if there is still an old Adobe Reader plugin in the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder.

Getting more detailed error messages from Adobe Acrobat

Is there a way to get more detailed error messages from Adobe Acrobat reader when he detecs an error in a PDF file?
My program generates PDF files. There is one that throws an error in Acrobat while GhostScript and Google Chromes PDF Reader display it correctly.
I wonder where the error is, but the error message is just "expected dictionary", when I hold CTRL and press "OK".
GhostScript usually gives useful error messages, but it has no error this time.

I have windows XP and I recently installed a 9 version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. Since then a receive the following error message: "The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a Web Browser. Adobe Acrobat/Reader version 8 or 9 is required." I had installed the 9 version. Any idea why this is happening or more importantly, what should I do to fix it?

Installation Media for Adobe Acrobat Reader and Flash without Extra Software

Is there a Installation Media format for Adobe Acrobat Reader and Flash which does not have McAfee, Google Chrome or Google Toolbar associated with the installation? This deployment is for a IT department. We do not want Google Chrome, Toolbar, or McAfee installed on our workstation, and we want to prevent our users from installing them when performing the upgrades to newer versions. We want installation media without the extra software for deployment. Does Adobe supply these?

I'm not going to start a new thread because if, as you say there's no addressing of Adobe Staff here (and you haven't mentioned you have inside connections and will pass it on) what's the point? What's the name of the file you are attempting to open? Is it "ScreenFlow_4.5.2.dmg"? If it is the correct name then the message is correct and you are attempting to open a file with DMG files extension and not one with a PDF file extension. Adobe Reader opens PDF files an not any other file type.

I have just gone through every link on the site and a number of links when clicked on will not bring up the material. I tried going into Adobe 10 on my computer and disenabling protected mode as was suggested on your forum and at first when I went back into the essex info site it seemed to have worked when I clicked on a link that had only produced a black page. However when I went back to test all the other links I found that the problem was still re-occuring. What version of Reader are you using, and are you on Mac OS or Windows? Do you get the same error when you try to print other PDF files, or is the problem specific to one PDF?

Error 1316 when trying to uninstall, repair or update Adobe Acrobat Reader

I get error message 1316 when trying to update, repair or delete Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.1 .
The error message is:
Error 2316 A network error occured while attempting to read from C:\Windows\Installer\AcroRead.msi.
Googling seems to find others with similar problems, but no help on the Adobe Knowledge Base.
Can anyone help?
