What is the exact error which you are receiving?  You may want to try the solution listed in Error 1935 | Assembly component Microsoft.VC80.CRT | Install | CS4, CS5, CS5.5 products | Windows - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-1935-assembly-component-microsoft.html.

  • Unknown error -19 when attempting upgrade to 2.0.2

    Hi:
I have a 1G iphone that I'm attempting to upgrade from 2.0.1 to 2.0.2. When itunes attempts to sync the update, I receive the following: "Unknown error-19".
How do I fix this issue?
    Thanks!
    Adrienne

    Thanks Jason,
Obviously, the solution wasn't plug and play, but you pointed me in the right direction... I uninstalled and re-installed iTunes per the directions at that link. I don't feel entirely in the clear and am wondering what the problem was, but I won't worry about that until the next time (and neither should you).
    Kind regards,

  • Lightroom 5 instal on Windows 7 - error 1935

    Hello Adobe Community,
This is my first post/discussion here. I am a new (almost) user of Lightroom and have not been able to instal it, despite several attempts.
I purchased LIghtroom 5 and was able to access the Installer, but each time I try to instal onto my Windows 7 computer, I get the following message in a pop-up window:
Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly component
    {5C21D397-1DA5-3749-8C1F-165F21DE9E9E3E}.
    HRESULT: 0x80070BC9.
Having had no luck finding an answer in any of the online help places or in the Manual, I'm hoping someone here will be able to tell me what this means and what I can do.
Tech is not my strong point, so I'm also hoping the solution will be simple, and it can be explained in a straightforward way that I will be able to follow.
    Thanks!

    Hi Margdav,
    Welcome to Adobe Forums.
Error 1935 is an error due to some issues with .netframework.
Please refer to the below article.

  • Error 1935 on Adobe Lightroom 5 update

I downloaded and attempted to install the udate for Adobe Lightroom 5 tonight and at the end of installation it popped up with an "Error 1935" message, cancelled the installation and now I can't open Lightroom at all, as it seems no version of it is installed anymore. I have tried to install it again and gotten the same error message. What is that message, and how do I fix this, since right now I can't use Lightroom at all?

Alorakitten the .Net framework on your Windows based computer has become damaged.  Please see Error 1935 | Assembly component Microsoft.VC80.CRT | Install | CS4, CS5, CS5.5 products | Windows - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-1935-assembly-component-microsoft.html for information on how to resolve your current error.

  • Despite it is claimed in Adobe forum that Lightroom is fully compatible with OS Maverics on my MacBook Air IT IS NOT. A message "an error occurred while attempting to change modules" appears and I cannot go any further. Can anyone help?

Despite it is claimed in Adobe forum that Lightroom is fully compatible with OS Maverics on my MacBook Air IT IS NOT. A message "an error occurred while attempting to change modules" appears every time I try to open Lightroom. This happened immediately after upgrading to Mavericks. On my doughter's same machine Lightroom works perfectly. Can anyone help?

Surely the Adobe forums are the place for help with Adobe applications. The fact that the problem doesn't occur on your daughter's machine suggests that it's not an issue with Mavericks but a local problem on your own machine.

  • When I attempt to download the upgrade to Lightroom CC I get the message "Lightroom is downloading now..." however, nothing happens.

I have the Adobe CC Photographers package. When I attempt to download the upgrade to Lightroom CC I get the message "Lightroom is downloading now..." however, nothing happens. The download does not begin, I get no error messages.is the 2nd day that Lightroom CC has been available. Is the problem that Adobe can not handle the volume or do I have another problem?
    Thanks, Charles

I'm experiencing the same exact problem.  I thought the Adobe CC Photographers package was supposed to provide us with automatic updates?  This is not a good user experience, and I hope that Adobe will remedy it soon.
    Thanks,
    JOe

  • Error 1316 message when attempting to install Lightroom 1.1

When attempting to install the Lightroom 1.1 upgrade, I get the following message: "Error 1316.A network error installed while attempting to read from the file (file path)Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.msi."
I am trying to install the upgrade on an HP machine with 1 gig RAM running Windows XP Media Center Edition.
    Any thoughts or suggestions?
    TIA.

If you google "Error 1316.A network", you'll get a whole list of entries indicating that LR 1.0 was installed from a network drives and you're now installing it from a local drive. Probably the best path to take is to uninstall LR 1.0, then rerun the LR 1.1 install.

  • I have Lightroom 5 installed on my MacBook Air but when I try to open the program I receive the message "An error occurred when attempting to change modules".  I uninstalled, emptied trash and re-installed but I continue to get the same message.

I have Lightroom 5 installed on my iMac which I downloaded (uploaded?) to my MacBook Air (via wi-fi) but unlike the iMac, I'm unable to use the program on the MacBook Air.  When I open the program on the iMac and click 'file', (as people using the program would know) there are 21 options - import pics, export, etc, etc - however, in the version on the MacBook Air, opening 'file' gives me four options - New Catalogue, Open Catalogue, Page Setup and Printer - and with that comes the pop-up message "An error occurred when attempting to change modules".  Any ideas please?

A forum thread from 3 years ago talking about LR 1.x which had this problem seems to need permissions fixed or new folders created with the corrected permissions.  You might try doing a repair permissions for your user and/or run LR as an administrator user.  I am a PC person so cannot tell you exactly how to do that.

It isn't a file, it's a folder. It will have the same name as your catalog, but will have the extension data. It will be in the same folder along with your catalog. If you need to use the search feature to search for *.lrdata.
