Error 1935 when downloading Adobe Reader on Windows 8.

I am trying to download Adobe Reader on my new Windows 8 computer. I have the app, but I need the program to work on the desktop of the system, so that pdfs and word documents can be open side-to-side. Dell has been unhelpful in solving this problem. Can you tell me how to fix this problem?

Is there anything else beside the number 1935?

Please enter it again." appears after 96% of download occurs when downloading Adobe Reader onto my home computer Windows XP Home Ed. v2 sp3 64 processor. Tried downloading again and same thing happens - used Windows Internet Explorer as browser. Any ideas on what to do next? Will try downloading using Google Chrome to see if that works. First time using the forums - think I need to move it to Adobe Reader Forum

Thanks Pat W. I stand corrected. The error report occured during installation. My Pictures and the Adobe folders reside in My Documents - the path(?) C:Documents and Settings/Denise/My Documents/My Pictures. The Adobe folder also resides in the My Documents folder but not within the My Pictures folder. Just wondering where the Adobe folder should be. If I have an external drive on and a backup copy of Adobe is in it, would that be what you mean by a folder in "My Documents" is pointing to somewhere other than the C: drive? I have turned off my external drive and retried the download. Not successful. Will try your last tip re: the support site from microsoft. Thanks for any other clarification you can provide.

HKey error message when downloading Adobe reader 9

   When trying to download the newest Adobe Reader I keep getting this error message...HKey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows\current version\run\optional\components\Imail.   verify you have sufficient access to that key. What does it mean?
   Tried using windows install clean up and add/remove programs to remove old 9.0 and 5.0 versions I had and reinstall the newest version as suggested at the Adobe site, but still keep getting this message. Can anyone out there help me with this in simple terms.

Can you please follow the below mentioned instructions:
Download Microsoft's SubinACL tool from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e8ba3e56-d8fe -4a91-93cf-ed6985e3927b
Install the same by double clicking on the "subinacl.msi" just downloaded.
Open Command Prompt window through the Run Dialog Box (Start | Run, type cmd and click OK)
In the Command Prompt window, type in or copy/paste the following commands:
cd /d "%ProgramFiles%\Windows Resource Kits\Tools" (Hit Enter)
subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\OptionalComponents /grant=administrators=f /grant=SYSTEM=f /grant=USERS=f /grant="Creator Owner"=f (Hit Enter)

My PC fails security scan when installing Adobe Reader

I have Windows 7. When I try to download anything like a PDF, Adobe reader or any external file, the process includes a security scan. It could be before the download or after it is complete, but at a point before download or before it can be opened, the the message says that it failed or failed the security scan.
I tried to troubleshoot Windows 7 and get as error message: 0x800B010E. It could it be related to the software download problem where I get message other than security failure or it won't load.
I have Windows 7 Enterprise, Version 6.1( Build 7601: Service Pack 1)

Error 2331 when installing Adobe Reader 10.1.3

Adobe automatic updater notified me that I had an update to install. I tried installing it, and got the following message:
Error 2331. Error loading library MSPATCHA or finding entry point ApplyPatchToFileByHandlesEx
I tried Microsoft Fixit, no change. I uninstalled Adobe Reader from Control Panel Add/Remove Software and downloaded Adobe Reader X again, and it won't install--I get the same Error 2331.

One more suggestion; can you try to download and run the MSI installer?
