  • Error problem while installing Photoshop Elements 12

I received the combo pack of Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12 this Christmas. I started to install the cd onto my computer and entered the serial number for Photoshop. Midway while installing Photoshop Elements 12, my computer froze. I cancelled the installation and restarted my computer. When I tried re-installing Photoshop, I keep getting error applying transforms. Please verify special transforms paths are valid.
I tried Installing the Premiere Elements 12 and it installed fine. I just cannot get the Photoshop Elements part to work. What can do to rectify this? Thanks for any help!

  • "Failed to initialize" error message when installing Photoshop Elements 12

    Hi,
I kepe getting an error message when trying to install Photoshop elements 12. I have re-downloaded the files multiple times from different places and none work so I know it isn't a corrupted file. Tried a system restart. Tried using support advisor but it found no issues.
I'm running Mac OS X 10.9 on a 2012 Macbook Pro that meets system requirements.
    Any help is greatly appreciated

I have gone through the install logs and the error I am getting is 'PIM - Error could not create PIM Common Folder Path'. I have gone to the PDApp folder and it does not have any permissions on it. I have gone to the folder PDApp and it doesn't have any permissions, I'm not sure what to do from here. The PDApp folder is a alias that leads to the Adobe Application Managers folder. Sorry for the font being bold, it wouldn't turn off after pasting the error message.

  • Error message when installing Photoshop Elements 13 : Installer Failed to initialize

I am trying to install Photoshop Elements 13 on a PC with Windows 8.1. I can't run the Adobe Support Advisor because it is no longer available. Can a Adobe expert get in touch? Forums are sometimes not adequate to find solutions.

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe and delete/rename the OOBE folder from there.
Then install Adobe application manager from the below link:

Start with Disc #1 to install on Windows 32 bit however the Disc #2 is to install on Windows 64 bit.

It mainly is a matter of searching on the different error codes after locating the sign posts of Error an Fatal for reviewing the installation logs.
The DF027 error indicates the installer is unable to modify a file or folder.  In this case we see this referenced at:
    DF027: Cannot copy template database file from C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\DWA\resources\uninstall\Uninstall.db to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\uninstall\{F6F5021E-0548-43C1-82CC-C5C7A6906585}.db
You can follow document Error "Exit 6" or "Exit 7" | Install log | Read, write, system file errors | CS5, CS5.5 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-exit-6-exit-7.html to modify permissions on your \Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\ folder and all child objects.
The DF012 error also indicates that the installer is unable to modify your registry.  In specific please see:
DF012: Uninstallation database file does not exist at C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\uninstall\{F6F5021E-0548-43C1-82CC-C5C7A6906585}.db
You can find information on how to resolve this at Install log error, registry key failure | Creative Suite 5, CS5.5 | Windows - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/install-log-error-registry-key.html.
This should hopefully help you get started with repairing the compromised permisssions under your current user account or group.  You can also reference Installation, launch log errors | CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CCM - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/installation-launch-log-errors-creative.html to reference the specific error codes you find within your installation log.
In general it appears that your current User account or group has compromised permissions.  In your position I would probably start by creating a brand new local adminstrator account and trying the installation there.  If this fails, or you don't wish to create a new admin account, then you will want to review your installation log files to determine the locations which the installer is failing to be able to write or modify files or settings.

Vista is not a supported OS for Directory Server (which requires a Server OS, not a desktop version).
But this typical error occurs when the machine does not provide a full qualified name that is addressable on the network.
Search in this forum for the same error string, and you'll get a bunch of hints.

  • Error 1935 while installing Adobe Acrobat XI Pro/Std - Windows

    Hi,
This seems to be an issue with the Windows Modules Installer service. Please try the below steps and check if that works:
Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.
Double Click on the Windows Modules Installer Service, it will open the Windows Modules Installer Service Properties window.
Under General Tab on the top make sure the Service Name is "TrustedInstaller", Also make sure that "Startup type" is set to Manual - then hit the "Apply" button at the bottom right and then there is an option which says :- "Service Status", if its "Stopped", kindly make sure you click on Start Button just below it and then hit OK button.
Close all the windows and Restart/Reboot your machine and then check again to the same location did the changes you made appear or not ?
Try installing the application again and then check the issue.
**If it do not helps you then also try the mentioned steps**
Make sure that the latest version of Microsoft .NET framework (4.5 x64) is installed. [Location: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40773]
Then check the permission for these folders :C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe and C:\Program Files\Adobe, user should have access to write files to these folders.
Then delete the temp files present in the TEMP Folder [Start > Run > %temp% > OK]
    Disable Anti-Spyware and Antivirus Software.
Run Acrobat installer through command line using the following command: msiexec /i acropro.msi patch=<path of msp file> IGNOREAAM=1
    Regards
    Priyank

Generally you have to be the administrator and have anti-virus disabled during install. However, the error you listed is addressed by MS for some other products in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/902330.
