I have the Overdrive app on my ipad and when i log in it keeps telling me that this adobe id has been authorized too many times how do i fix this, because i rent library books for school and this is how i get them

I have the same problem after reinstalling OverDrive multiple times on my iPad. The error message is "Error:2004-This Adobe ID has been authorized too many times."
How can that not be an Adobe problem? I'm trying to authorize it using my Adobe ID.
As mentioned before, there is no OverDrive forum. I'm not saying that OverDrive is not buggey, it is. Worst ereader I have tried, but that's what our local library requires. I've found a workarround for the issues with OverDrive, but when I try to authorize it again, I get "Error:2004-This Adobe ID has been authorized too many times."
I tried contacting Adobe support, but the only thing I can find is a link to chat. Chat was no help at all. Directed me to http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/405/kb405200.html. All that address is problems with ADE in Windows. It sends you to http://www.adobe.com/support/digitaleditions/ which has a link to Contact Support (http://www.adobe.com/support/digitaleditions/supportinfo/) which takes you to chat. Chat is no help!
All I want done is to somehow clear the Adobe ID history of past installations so I can authorize the reader again.

I downloaded Blue Fire Reader and it requested an adobe id. I clicked on the link that was in the error message stated http//adeactivateadobe.com. Found out that if the date and time on my Ipad is wrong that it won't let me download a book. I was off 5 hours. I reset my clock settings and adobe id let me download a book from the library. I am back to using Overdrive and adobe again on my ipad.

They can reset your authorizations, and then you must reauthorize any devices you still need.
(Unfortunately, Adobe haven’t got round to an admin website for viewing and editing authorizations.)
Some of the representatives haven't been properly trained and don't know what to do (and claim there is nothing they can do);
in that case the only way seems to be to give up that chat and try another session hoping for a properly trained representative.
If your problem is with another device using Overdrive, Bluefire, Aldiko or similar third party app, it is recommended not to mention that app when on the chat, just mention that you have run out of authorizations (E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS) . Thanks to AJP_Bear for that tip.

Got Error #2004 on installing Air Application on Linux 32

Hello,
here's the problem.
I'm trying to install an AIR application developed by me on a Linux Suse 10.1, and i'm getting Error #2004 (invalid parameters) usign the GUI installer or AIR.
I've searched here and on the web too, and i've not found a clear solution. I don't know if the problem is on the machine or on my app.
I've installed another app on same pc and it worked fine.
What i have to do?

Our application is very modular and we embed fonts, but I've tried various approaches in a test application and haven't been able to reproduce this exception.
Here's the stack/variables seen when debugging, http://screencast.com/t/MGU1MDEzNGIt. **To get here it requires commenting out the try/catch in StandardFlowComposer.internalCompose()** If I had to guess, it seems that recreateTextLine doesn't like getting the same textLine twice in the argsArray.
Anyone have thoughts?

   I was getting the same RTE, the same pattern in Flex debugging session with passing same line twice in the argsArray to recreateTextLine method.
   I've come up with relatively simple test case that consists only of 2 files, I've just attached the Flash Builder project FXP file to the related Flex bug issue in JIRA: https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/SDK-25826
   This bug is reproduced for any tooltip displayed in Flash Player 10.1 that
   tries to display 2 or more lines of text;
   is using FTE to display text (mx.core.UIFTETextField class);
   sets htmlText instead of text property for the textField to display error message.
Some possible background for this RTE I've learned during my research:

Each time I try to download a EPUB book to my iPhone 4 via the Overdrive app, I get this error message.....

The only thing that has worked is deauthorizing and then reauthorizing my Adobe account, but each time I do that I get another error message....

Once I clear this error message, my books just start downloading on their own.
I have no idea what these mean, but it's getting a bit annoying to do this every time. Any suggestions?

Are you downloading directly onto the iPhone Overdrive app, or are you downloading to ADE on a computer then moving the books to Overdrive?
If the second, try using the Bluefire app on the iPhone instead of Overdrive.
It seems to be more reliable then Overdrive app; and it can read Overdrive library books (with proper authorization), but can't download them directly.

Well, well, well, right before somenone could answer me. I found the answer just here in the forum. I really love it!!!
Seems to be a incompatibility with the file created on Folder Lock installation: "windrvnt.sys." In this case, it is just uninstall Folder Lock and tah dah! Everything works perfectly.
Here comes my request: Hey, developers you all could give a try in resolve this issue, huh? At least give a try...It'll be very nice have the two programs properly installed in anybody's (who wants it) system.

Introspector ArgumentError: error #2004 4096

Hi,
I have following problem, every introspector usage (error, f12) throw me this alert message: "ArgumentError: error #2004 4096" (second F12 will start introspector window, which doesn't work and doesn't close with app, but application can be closed) and after closing window (after error) application still runs, so i must close it in task manager. Error isn't in application, i tried it on another PC ant it work correctly. So I tried reinstall Air, but without effect. This problem start from sec. to sec. without any action with air or any other.
Can someone help, what should i try?

I solved it, any old cache bug it. Delete \Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\APP_NAME.(ANY_HASH) folder to fix it.
