Error 2009 when updating firmware
My iphone 4(USA and GSM), is actually on firmware 4.3.3, I was trying to fresh install at the same firmware, but itunes was always giving me error 3194(and yes I'm using the most actual itunes version(10.4) ), I gave up and tried updating it to 4.3.5, it turns off my iphone, when it's going to load the apple screen with a bar under it, my iphone begins to turn on and itunes gives me error 2009 or 2006 after some time, I've tried EVERYTHING, like, puttin into DFU mode(even special dfu mode), changing usb port, renitiating computer, reinstalling usb port, etc. I don't know what to do anymore! Is not a problem on the usb port seen that I can sync with itunes normally, help me pleaze.
Thank you for your attention and time.
Edit the hosts file on your computer and remove any lines that contain gs.apple.com. As you didn't say what OS you have I can't tell you where to find it, but Google will help. BTW, undating to 4.3.5 will either brick the phone or remove the jailbreak. It's not a good idea to update jailbroken phones.

Hi guys,
I've been following http://lifehacker.com/5572003/how-to-downgrade-your-iphone-3g%5Bs%5D-from-ios-4- to-ios-313 to try and downgrade my iphone to 3.1.3. It is currently running on iOS 4.01. However, I keep getting the Error 2009 when I restore with the older file! Any ideas what to do here?

What I do know is Apple does not support downgrading to an earlier firmware version and hacking an iPhone is against Apple's license agreement for the iPhone, and is not supported by Apple directly or indirectly via these discussions.
I have read a report that Apple is addressing this for 3G and 3GS owners with the problem with the next firmware update, which is in developer's hands as a BETA for testing and feedback and should be released soon. -

RTLHi Wilson,
Thank you! It worked, except for the fact that i've produced the error i already made a topic about. Please refer to it here:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winservermanager/thread/22094f08-9482-4600-a338-443c50a8777c?prof=required&ppud=4
I got an error 80070020 now when i want to update. I think it has to do with permissions, but i'm not actually confident where i should change them to.
What i did:
1. Copy necessary files from another server to the server with the update error
- Error about permissions popped up, but:
2. In command prompt:
- cd c:\windows\servicing
- takeown /f Packages /r /d y
- yicacls directory_name /grant administrators:F /t
3. Copy all files to the servicing directory without any errors
(2) This will change the ownership of all files to the Administrations-group, but the hilarious thing is that error 80070020 is now popping up, at exactly the same way as on the other machine with the topic mentioned above.
Is there a quick way to regrant the permissions?
Also, i get this error in the Event Viewer:
Windows Servicing identified that package KB970430(Security Update) is not applicable for this system
Please look at this page to view 2 screenshots of what happens:
http://img69.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=screen1fq.jpg
I'm getting screenshot 1 for 2 milliseconds and then the errors pops up.
Thanks

Error message when updating Itunes...can not open Itunes program
I am recieving error message when updating Itunes for my computer. The error message reads "MSVCR80.dll is missing and the other error message reads Error 7 (Windows error 126)" I can not open my Itunes. I have reloaded the Itunes onto my computer but still have the same error messages. Please help.
Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Did you get error 1067 when updating Reader?
If you got update error 1067 when updating Reader, I'd like to hear more so we can find a solution.
What OS are you using and what version (such as Window XP SP2)?
What version of Reader do you have?
What was the error message you got?
How much disk space do you have available?
How much memory (RAM) is on your system?
I recommend you try installing again using the direct download link noted in this document under "Try a different download link":
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/836/cpsid_83641.html#main_Try_a_different_download_link
Please let me know if this helps. We haven't been able to reproduce this error.
Thanks so much!I just worked through this error on my Dad's computer. He has XP Home SP 3, Adobe Acrobat 4 and Reader 9.4.7 were already installed. He has been getting to 1067 error for some time and just clicking through it. I manually un-installed Acrobat 4, but left the shared files in web/common alone. I did not touch Reader 9.4.7. I downloaded the alternate installer for Adobe 10.1.2 for English and ran it. It did complain, eventually, about 9.4.7 still having a file in use, but I'd left the previous dialog from the 9.4.7 updater failure open. I closed that 9.4.7 failure dialog and hit 'retry', and the installer proceeded onward and seems to have completed successfully.
This machine has 1 gig of RAM and approx 4G of free disk space on C:. -
Error 1321 when updating Adobe Acrobat Pro even if profile has admin rights and parent folder has full access privileges.
Exact error below:
error 1321: the installer has insufficient privileges to modify the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat\Xtras\AdobePDF\I386\[dll file]
Thanks in advance! My first thought is to not just apply permissions to the folder but be sure to apply them to all objects inside them. It would be interesting to see if you can rename this file, then rename it back to its original name; this would test permissions nondestructively.

Error 4 when updating the text data
When i am trying to load the data using IP i am facing the issue Error 4 when updating the text data. Please suggest me
Edited by: srikanth reddy612 on Dec 15, 2011 12:45 PMhi srikanth,
you might have selected given lowercase data
and please check in the Infoobject the lowercase Checkbox is unchecked then it will allow you to update from IP.
also check in the Datasource fields tab whether particular field is unchecked with lowercase.
if checked all records you are pushing will have to be in uppercase.
thanks

I am getting an un expected error message when updating the setting to "extend network". Is there an obvious setting I may be missing? Cisco router being used.
If you are trying to "extend" using wireless only, you may not be aware that Apple designed the "extend" feature as a proprietary setting to only work with other Apple routers.
It is extremely unlikely that this will work with a Cisco router.
If your plans call for connecting the AirPort Express to the Cisco router using a wired Ethernet connection, it should be possible to configure the Express that way. -

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

After I upgraded iTunes, iTunes doesn't recognize CD in the drive, apparently isn't the default player. It won't let me set iTunes as the default player, I get the error message "An error occurred when updating the default player for audio files types." I tried Whitesides' remedy (changing Read Only status in folder in Windows) but it didn't solve the problem. Any suggestions? Thanks.
JOddly enough. I think I just solved it. It looks like, for some reason, my computer has about 8 different "iTunes music" folders, and I've been saving my music to the wrong one. Neat. Music now imports and plays as it should. Copying things over is going to be so fun tonight!

Sounds to me like openssl is installed on your system but the info on it is now missing from the local pacman database (/var/lib/pacman/local). In other words, pacman forgot that you installed it. So in your second clip of code, pacman is complaining that files belonging to openssl exist in your filesystem, since you do have it installed but it no longer knows that.
Don't know if this is the proper way to fix it, but I imagine forcing a reinstall of openssl (pacman -Sf openssl) should get pacman to reinstall openssl so that it knows it is installed.
Bregol,
pacman -Sf openssl
seemed to have fixed it. Did not know of the force reinstall option. The necessary directories in /var/lib/pacman/local/openssl have been created.
