Error 2093 attempting to run Quicktime (Windows 7 64 bit)

Hi, first time post.
I have a HP Pavilion running Windows 7 64 bit (not sure about SP number). Anyway, after installing Quicktime I'm getting the 2093 error when attempting to run it. I see 2 entries of the .qts file, one under c:\program files (x86)\QuickTime\QTSystem, and C:\Windows\SysWow64. I've done the steps recommended several times, run uninstall, make sure there in nothing in \temp, but problem persists. I did a search but did not find a prev. issue similar to mine.
Thanks

Excellent news.
It's never been clear which permissions are damaged in these cases, so it might be worth just setting the Player to always run as an administrator.
Right-click on the QuickTimePlayer.exe again, but this time select "Properties". In the compatibility tab, check "Run as administrator", and click OK. You should be able to launch the Player "normally" from now on.

  • Crystal Report XI R2 version 11.5 not run on Windows Vista 64 bit OS

We have created the Windows Vista 64 bit Development Environment with u201CCrystal Report XI R2u201D version 11.5 .  When we try to run report it gives following error
"An error has ocured while attempting to load Crystal Reports runtime.
Either the Crystal Report Registery key permissions are insufficient or the Crystal Reports runtime not installed correctly.
Please install the appropriate Crystal Reports redistributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the Crystal Reports runtime (x86, x64, or itanium) required. Please go to http://www.bisinessobjects.com/support for more information"
Then we Installed Crystal Reports redistributable from u201CC:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Crystal Reports\CRRedist\X64\CRRedist2005_X64.msiu201D
and run the report we got same error.
Its working properly on Windows XP 32 bit Development Environment.
    Please advice.
    Thanks in advance

    Couple of things to consider;
    1) CR XI r2 is not 64 bit
    2) The MSI you installed is for CR 10.2 which ships with .NET 2005, not CR XI r2.
    3) To use CR XI r2 on Vista, you must have applied at least SP 4

It runs fine on 64 bit. I have it running on Windows 8 Pro 64 bit. Just have Quicktime installed first otherwise the install will fail. Sorry for the late reply.

    What should I do?

The first thing you should do is re-write your post to make it a bit more understandable. I got you have an Epson printer connected to your PC, however after that  your post doesn't make any sense. Are you attempting to print from your iMac, if so then you need to download and install Bonjour for Windows on your Windows machine. Then set Windows so it has printer sharing turned on and then on the iMac simply follow Apple's instructions for adding a printer.

Not using Boot Camp, but you should be able to using virtualization software such as Parallels to run Windows concurrently with OS X.

    Hi Drgeert-
The hub may not be broken per se, but Apple has made adjustments to the limits on current that can be drawn from ports.
You probably need a new hub.

  • Dr Watson error when attempting to run an exe (LV 6.1) on NT OS

When attempting to run the LV 6.1 EXE I created on an NT system using the Application Builder I get a Windows Dr Watson ERROR and I cant go any further. The code works fine when running from LV. So far I have tried:
    1) Created a Distribution Kit (so the RTE would be installed) ...same error.
    2) I tried this same EXE on XP and it runs just fine.
    P.S.
There is already an EXE running on this system (a previous version of the code) which was created using LV 5.1. Since I do not have the bld file I used the standard configuration (no dynamic VIs, just added the top level).
I really need to upgrade this system....thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Lupita,
Thank you for contacting National Instruments.  It looks like you are currently running a 5.1 executable and then attempting to run a LabVIEW 6.1 executable.  Are these operations intended to be simultaneous?  Are both executables being run simultaneous when you are testing this on the XP system?  Is it possible to halt the 5.1 application and test the 6.1 executable under these circumstances?  Also, I would recommend downloading the Run-Time engine for 6.1 here, and verify that this behavior still occurs.  There may be some shared resources that cannot be accessed, but I am currently unaware of how that would initiate a Drwtsn32.exe error.

  • MSI Big Bang-XPower: Errors and Bluescreens Trying to Install Windows 7 64-bit

Hello!  This is my first build since... Well, Pentium 3 really.  It's been an adventure learning the new hardware.  The PC components listed in my signature are the pieces to the machine I'm working on currently, and the one related to this issue.
It boots up just dandy, all the bright and shiny mobo lights blinking reassuringly, recognizes the full 12 GB of RAM in setup, and everything seems peachy until I get to loading the Windows 7 install.
I've tried using an old Vista disc I had lying around, no go.  Same issues.  I tried loading a different Windows 7 Pro 64-bit disc.  Same issues.
These are the error messages I'm receiving most often:
"Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1.) Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2.) Choose your language settings, and then click 'next'.
    3.) Click "repair your computer".
If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.
File: \windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe ((This changes every now and then, as does the status number. Always in the system32 file though))
    Status: 0xc0000098
Info: Windows failed to load because the kernel is missing, or corrupt."
The error is inconsistent in the files it mentions, also often referring to:
    "File: \windows\system32\config\system
    Status:  0xc0000001
Info:  Windows failed to load because the system registry file is missing, or corrupt."
The HDD is still brand new and entirely blank, not yet even formatted.  I have not done much changing things around in the BIOS, because I haven't done much in the BIOS in a very long time, and I'd rather not accidentally make things worse without first obtaining external help.  I do not currently intend to overclock the machine, as I am a huge wuss and don't want to screw up my shiny new equipment with my noobsauce. XD
I did some searching around the Interwebs, and found references to similar problems where it was suggested that the person remove all but one stick of RAM and try loading the OS at that point, but it was also mentioned that one stick for that person would be 2 GB.  The least I have available to me is 4 GB, and I have attempted this with no change.  In this instance, flashing the BIOS to a new version was also recommended.  However, I have never flashed a BIOS before and am leaving that as a last resort unless otherwise advised.
Setup currently lists my BIOS Version as V1.2 060910.
It has on a few attempts made it past the 'Starting Windows' screen, and this is the kind of error I generally receive there on a bluescreen:
    "STOP: c00002221 Unknown Hard Error
    \Systemroot\System32\ntdll.dll"
Over the course of this build, I found that the two previous HDDs that I'd ordered from Newegg were dead and were neither consistently spinning up nor being detected by the mobo, but the current one seems to be recognized just fine.  I'd been worried it was a mobo issue, that it just wasn't recognizing them.
I've also read around, and am wondering if perhaps this could be related to a RAM incompatibility issue with the mobo and processor?  The RAM that was recommended to me for this build was Triple Channel DDR3 PC 1333, and is supposedly low voltage enough to play happily with the current equipment.
I'd thought to plug the HDD into another machine and format it/install the OS there, then hook it back up and see if it boots, but I have serious doubts as to whether that will ultimately solve the problem, and solving the problem is really what I'm after.
All the equipment save for the power supply and HDD were bought on Newegg.com.
Any assistance would be incredibly appreciated.  I'd really like to get the new baby up and running.
    :D

Welp, I wasn't a moron bios flasher >.>... It was stable when I flashed it, and it said it was successful... I cleared CMOS after it was done, did the reboot and load optimized thing and reboot again...
Aaaaand it won't go into Windows.  Now, I went back at that point and set all the settings back to what let it boot originally:  9-9-9-20, 1.6v, CR of 2... made sure it was booting in the right order, unplugged the USB...
And it freezes midway through the little windows icon forming, bluescreens, and shuts down.  I haven't been able to catch what it is yet, since it's crashing so fast.
I tried to run the windows repair thing when the option was given after the crash, and it gets partway through loading the files and then crashes again, sending me right back to the same place.
    *facedesk*
    On the bright side, what files it does load seem to be loading quickly. _ _;
Edit:  Tried booting into my Ubuntu drive, no luck.  Just sits stuck at the startup screen.  Tried loading Failsafe Defaults... still crashes.  Still fiddling with it.  I'm hoping the fact that I can get into the BIOS at all means I didn't bust it, but never done this before.
Edit:  Managed to load into Startup Repair with just one stick of RAM in it, fiddling with it still and seeing what happens.
Edit:  _ _;; Bluescreened and restarted.  *facedesk... facedesk...*
Edit:  Tried Startup Repair again, and it said 'Startup Repair cannot repair this this computer automatically.'  This was the information it gave:

The mouse isn't lagging across the screen anymore at least, I guess.
Edit... Again >.>: After some searching around the web, it seems as though there have been other people with similar problems with other boards, etc.  Most suggested a repair or reinstall of Windows.  I don't have much on the drive installed yet that can't be redone, so I'm going to venture a reinstall.  Will post results.

  • Error code 0x80070570 during install of Windows 7 64-bit

    Hi
I have a Macbook Pro 2008 - 2.53 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo. It has 8Gb of RAM. I have run Windows 7 on this machine before successfully so I do not know what has changed except for the RAM.
The steps I took are below.
    - start bootcamp
    - repartition hard drive (successful) - 70GB
    - insert Windows 7 64 bit disc (original - bought at launch) when instructed and select restart via Bootcamp
    - boots into Windows 7 installer successfully
    - I select Advanced installation
    - I format the Bootcamp partition
    - then installation starts. It reaches Expanding Windows File stage. At 42% an error occurs (below).
"Windows cannot install required files. The file maybe corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x080070570"
This can be reproduced every single time and at the same exact stage and percentage. I have tried different partition sizes with no success. I am using the original discs from Microsoft and also tried a copy of the disc with the same exact results. My Macbook Pro could install 8GB of RAM due to a secret firmware upgrade from Apple and it was discovered by some fix it site and they announced it which resulted in Kingston selling an upgrade kit which I purchased and installed. It works like a charm with OSX. Everything runs very smoothly and there are no errors at all on OSX. I can even run Final Cut Pro X and it uses all my RAM with no errors or crashes, so I am at a loss.
I hope someone out there has had similar issues and found a way to resolve it. Thank you.
    Adam

I just successfully installed Windows 8.1 Update 1 on BootCamp on Mac OS X Yosemite. Here is a step by step I just wrote, hope it helps y'all:
How to successfully install Windows 8, or above, on Mac OS X Mavericks or above:
    Requirements:
1- Windows OS ISO Image file
2- An 8GBs USB Flash Drive
3- A good Internet connection as you will need to download the Windows compatible drivers for your Mac
    Steps:
1- Open up Disk Utility and create an additional partition for Windows formatted as ExFat. 100GBs, or above, is recommended as update to the operating system, as well as Apps requiere space on your HD or SSD [This step can be done during Mac OS X's installation process]
    2- Open up BootCamp Assistant
3- Make sure only the 'Create a Windows 7 or later version install disk' is checked and your USB Flash Drive plugged in and click 'Continue'
4- Click 'Choose' and select your Windows ISO Image file
5- Select the USB Flash Drive you will be using during the installation process and click continue to confirm
6- Once done, restart your Mac and hold down the 'alt/option' key on your keyboard to bring up the Boot Menu
7- Select the USB Flash Drive named Windows, not the UEFI Boot
8- Install Windows as you normally would
    * Remember to press and hold the 'alt/option' key, and select the Windows Partition, whenever the installation process requires your Mac to restart

  • ZCM Version 10.3.3.44626 Does not Run on Windows 7 64 Bit

    Hello,
I am trying to get the ZCM client running on a Dell XPS 13 with Windows 7 64 bit installed.
The first problem I have is that the install errors with "The application was unable to start correctly 0xc000007b)" and it refers to ZPA_Iface.exe. But it does install.
The real problem is it doesn't update. If I right-click on the Zen icon in the system tray and click refresh, nothing happens.
Is there anything different that needs to be done with 64bit Windows?
    Thanks.

No, but there are different agents for 32 and 64 bit.

  • Firefox 6 running under Windows 7 64-bit does not render fonts correctly.

The default sans-serif font for Firefox is Arial. Running Firefox 6 under Windows 7 32-bit, the font renders properly, but under 64-bit Win7, the font is too heavy, and bold or strong makes no difference. I run Win7 64-bit on a laptop computer and use Firefox 5 on it, and the fonts render properly. Possibly a Firefox 6/64-bit problem?

Hi strangerland, don't give up hope -- I'm using Firefox 36.0.4 on Windows 7 right now.
That said, I understand troubleshooting fatigue and when you find time to think about Firefox again, and have the opportunity to shut down and restart Windows, you might try testing in Windows Safe Mode with Networking, a mode that blocks some external programs that can interfere with Firefox.
