Error 2140: An Internal Windows NT error occured

Has anyone else ever experienced this error? I can't start up the directory server, and I can't even re-install or uninstall. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

I actually am trying to test the Meta-Directory server application. One prerequisite of that program is that I have Directory Server installed on the machine. I do have a static IP address and my DNS addresses are configured properly. I only get the error message after installing Meta Directory on top of Directory Server and try to make a connection between different DBs. The DS won't start automatically and when I try to manually start it from control panel, that's when the error message happens. I am hoping to here from Sun tech support so everything is still as is. Thanks for the suggestion and I'll post any solution I can come up with.

    Thanks for that reply. I tried this again and it's working now. The only thing I can think of is that I have closed and opened Photoshop a number of times since having the problem and that may have fixed it.
    I find that if I am doing a lot of work in quick mask mode on large images with the pen tool, after a while, Photoshop starts to develop a very significant lag time, taking a number of seconds to draw the next point or respond to the tool (I'm on Vista 64 bit with 12 GBs of RAM, so it shouldn't be RAM, GeForce 8800 GTS video card 640MB dedicated video memory). I find that I have to frequently close Photoshop to get the tool response time back to normal. Perhaps the inability to draw a dialog box was somehow linked with this kind of problem....

  • Error updating BIOS from Windows Vista: error -15. Satellite a215-s7437

     I've tried to update the BIOS of this laptop which currently runs version 1.2, when the latest version is 2.0. When I run the BIOS update from Windows Vista, it fails with error code -15, with a message similar to "current BIOS checksum fail". The laptop was bought in Spain. Any ideas? The knowledge base was completely useless for this issue. Pedro.

  • Getting Error 2140 while starting Oracle Apache Server in 11.5.6 Apps

    We are on Oracle Apps R11.5.6 on Win NT 4.0.
    When I tried to stop and start the Oracle Apache Server service, the service stopped normally but did not start at all. The error is as given below:
    When I try to start Apache Server through the services, I get the following error:
    "Could not start the OracleApacheServerTEST service on \\son1052.
    Error 2140: An internal Windows NT error occured."
    When I try to start Apache Server through the command prompt, I get the error:
    The OracleApacheServerTEST service is starting.
    The OracleApacheServerTEST service could not be started.
    The service did not report an error.

    Login from svrmgrl and shutdown the db and then restart the db now start the service and it must start. This problem comes when you restart the server. I hope this will solve your problem.

    On Win 7 pro X64 i've installed my (old) DW 8 BUT I have a Failure
    ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7600.16559, timestamp: 0x4ba9b29c
    error: : C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll
    I've delete all WinFileCache
    What else can I do? Updating it I'm afraid I have the same error.

    That's a Windows system error, not a DW error.  NTDLL.DLL is a core system file.  You may need your OS disc handy for this one.  Open up a Command Prompt window and run:
    sfc /scannow
    Or Windows 7 may have a repair option on the disc now.  Either way you have to repair/reinstall OS.

    I am dynamically changing an LOV using CUSTOM.pll and it is working fine initially when i enter the form. If I change one field, it needs to be changed again. For this I am using delete_group and again create_group_from_query. Here delete_group is throwing an error FRM-40734: Internal PL/SQL error.

  • Forms 6i gives FRM-40734 Internal PL/SQL Error after Hourglass for 30 Min

    Hi,
    I am developing a New custom Form using a copy of Oracle Apps. TEMPLATE.FMB
    (Out of two custom forms , I am getting the below issue in only one form and the other is working fine)
    Everything works fine but I observed one unique issue during my testing.
    I executed the form and entered a value in one column of the master record
    (now the record in CHANGED status).
    Now I pressed the F11 Key (for Enter-Query in Apps) for doing the
    Query by ignoring the entered record values.
    Instead of giving a message "Do you want to Save the changes you have made (or)
    A Required Field must be entered"
    But the Form shows the Hourglass(Busy) for 30 Minutes then gives the error :
    FRM-40734 Internal PL/SQL Error
    May I know in the above situation, what are the triggers the form will fire and in which sequence (forms 6i)
    In summary what form triggers will be fired :
    When a NEW record status is CHANGED and when the user invokes Enter-Query
    (F11 on Apps and F8 on standalone) , before form changes to Enter-Query mode.
    Any pointers to my issue resolution.
    Below is my form canvas/block layout and I am getting the issue Only in Master Block and not in any of the detail blocks

    Issue got resolved:
    ==================
    In my case, The solution I found is renaming the Relations with a unique name.
    When the Relation is created for two different master blocks
    the "Block creation wizard" has given the same name for both
    these relations.
    I renamed both of them with a custom unique name then the issue got resolved now the form is behaving correctly.

    When we want to create a template of a virtual machine, we receive the following error. The environment has the following components and servers:
    * Windows Server 2012 R2 U1 with Hyper-V role enabled
    * High available Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2 RU2 (two virtual servers on Hyper-V 2012 R2)
    * High available Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2 Library servers (two virtual servers on Hyper-V 2012 R2)
    There're a few things I've already checked:
    * Self-signed certificates in the Trusted People store --> OK
    * Windows Firewall turn off --> OK
    * Re-added a Hyper-V host to the SCVMM environment
    * Reboot the VMM servers and the library servers
    * Export port usage and conflicts with netstat -a -b --> OK, no conflicts
    * Free disk space on the VMM library servers --> OK
    The job is starts fine, but step 1.2 "Store virtual machine W2012R2TMPL from HV01 to CLSCVMMLIB01" Failed. So it looks like the sysprep fase is going well. When VMM is trying to store the virtual machine in the library, it fails.
    Who is familar with this issue and can help me find a solution for this?

    Hi,
    I am trying to build a LabView FPGA VI. During compilation, I always get error stating "LabVIEW FPGA:  An internal software error in the LabVIEW FPGA Module has occurred.  Please contact National Instruments technical support at ni.com/support".  At the time, comiplation process is almost at the end.  "Final Timing (place and route)" shows as completed. When Checked the Xilinx log session, at the end it states that "  Process "Generate Programming File" completed successfully". However, I do not see any generated bitfile.
    When clicked on error details, it shows following: 
    LabVIEW: An unknown error occurred.
    Error -2629 occurred at Error occurred while loading XML string. Invoke Node in niFpgaXml_PrettyPrint.vi->niFpgaWriteBitfileXml_Core.vi->niFpgaCompileWorker_CreateBitfile.vi->niFpgaCompileWorker_JobComplete.vi->niFpgaCompile_Worker.vi:6460001
    Possible reason(s):
    LabVIEW: An unknown error occurred.
    I tried multiple times but so far no luck to generate bitfile for this VI.  What could be wrong here?

    Thanks for posting your question.  If you see a pop-up window that gives you the option to investigate this internal error, make sure you choose "investigate later", and note the location that the log file is saved to. 
    In case we are unable to obtain the error log file, I have some questions for you.  What addons or toolkits are you using in your project?  What versions are they?  Are you using DAQmx and if so, what version? When you create an installer for another project do you receive the same error, or is it only this specific project?  Is there anyway that you could post your project and I could attempt to reproduce the error on my machine?  Any information would be helpful in troubeshooting this error, thanks!

    According to your description, could you please post the summary and detail logs for further analysis? By default, the logs can be found in: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log.
    Usually, the error occurs when the Windows Installer Service is not running or the Windows Installer registry settings are corrupted.  I recommend you reset the Windows Installer Service settings in the registry and restart the Windows Installer Service,
    then reinstall SQL Server 2008 R2. For more details, please review this similar

    I have tried many things to try to install it and I have been unsucessful. Please help I have windows 8 64bit.

    This did not resolve my issue, it actually made things worse. I did what
    you had told me to do below, and it did not work. Tried to access the
    internet to respond back to you and my computer was not able to reach the
    internet. Tried reaching adobe support and not was able to, even tried
    calling was on the phone for 20 minutes and no one answered. I was not able
    to re install windows. Contacted Asus from another computer and they were
    not able to help me reinstall windows They had asked me to ship my computer
    back to them, due to them not being able to resolve the issue and help me
    reinstall windows. I luckily had a backup on my external hard drive and was
    able to reinstall windows 8. Spent over an hour and half trying to fix
    that. Here I am still not able to install adobe reader. I was very unhappy
    with what I was told to do and it gave me this issue.

    I have been receiving this error trying to install SQL Server 2012. Initially I already had SQL Server 2012 on my machine and attempted to install BIDS 2008. My IT guy stated that there was a conflict in the installation and suggested that I uninstall SQL

    HRESULT: 0x80073712 means ERROR_SXS_COMPONENT_STORE_CORRUPT, and it is one of the error codes listed at this
    KB article.
    I suggest you run the System Update Readiness tool and check if the error still persists.
