Error 23002 when restricting access to specific TS

I am a bit stumped at the moment on my TSGW.  I am attempting to restrict which Terminal Servers the TSGW will redirect to.
I am doing this via RAP > Network Resource > "RD Gateway-managed group"
I created a new group and added the FQDN of the TS I want to connect to and I was unable to connect (received error 23002)
I then modified the group to use the IP address of the TS and received the same error.
I then set the Network Resource option in RAP to "Allow users to connect to any network resource" and I was able to connect.  I naturally don't want to do this and want to restrict access as we have other Terminal Servers for other groups.
I must be missing something, but I am not sure what.  Any thoughts from anyone?

OK... I may have solved my own issue here.  Sometimes typing it out makes me think...
One thing I didn't try was the NetBIOS name within the RD Gateway-managed group.
I entered the 3 entries:  IP/FQDN/NetBIOS  and things came alive.  Now, I shouldn't need all three, so I will need to do some more checking, but at least I'm now in the right direction.

you might be able to block it if the app uses Internet access
and depending on your wireless you might be able to block a specific user

  • Why do I get an error message when I access my Shopping Cart?

I have no problem accessing Music Store or adding songs to my cart, but I get an error message when I attempt to access my Shopping Cart. My Keychains are in order and my account is active. I have not changed ISP nor is my computer new to iTunes and the Music Store. Suggestions?!
    iMac   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

    At last a solution.
But, you must be willing to forfit your shopping cart list and start over. If you mangaed to have a hard copy of it printed out before you lost contact with it you are lucky. I was not. But at this rate I was willing to clear out my cart just to be able to start over. (I was using my shopping cart as a wish list and I think it got to be rather large and larger and larger- and when I did try to buy things it took a long time for it to reset itself until I could not access it at all)
Turns out I exlpained what happened to the music store on the link below (scroll to bottom of link page for the email option to customer service)-
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/musicstore/connect/
-and told them I was willing to clear it out- which they did and they said it was necessary in order to reset my cart. They also refered me to this other link on how to create a wish list in the MUSIC STORE . This was helpful.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107961
IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO LOOSE YOUR SHOPPING CART LIST, I did read that one could try to de-authorize and then reauthorize your computer. At least so you could print out your cart list if it is really long. I did not try this, but it was next on my list of options.
    Hope this helps.

  • HT2688 How do I restrict access to *specific* songs (or give access to a specific playlist) in Home Sharing

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2688?
This article describes two different things:
    Music Sharing and
    Home Sharing
Music Sharing allows you to select playlist(s) to share, and allows you to play the song from another device. It does *not* allow you to transfer the song to another device.
Home Sharing allows you to share your ENTIRE music library and transfer the songs to another device. It does not allow you to restrict the share to a specific playlist(s).
Try it. You can set a password and check the boxes to restrict your playlists, but that only restricts while Home Sharing is turned off. EVERY file is accessible when you have Home Sharing running.
I have a bunch of music I don't want my kids listening to. I've created a playlist for them, and I want them to be able to load their ipods with music from that list without accessing other music.  Any ideas?

say suppose i have no control over wcf client. so i want to do it at client side. so what is your suggestion. thanks
If you can't  implement role based secuirty on the client-side, the you may want to look at what is in the link.

  • Error message when activation a packaging specification in ICH 5.0

    Dear all,
I created a packaging spec within ICH 5.0. The check function does not return a error. But when trying to activate the PS I am getting the error message:
Package specification not activated; no condition records found.
What kind of condition records does the system mean?
    Regards
    Martin

    Hi Martin,
You can have a look in the pack spec group and make sure that the flag 'PS_ACTIVATE' it is not set.
That way you will no longer face this error during the activation process.
I hope this will help you.

    sorry.. pressed wrong key(s).
    Hello Everyone:
Thanks for your responds. I found the problem and I have correct it. I was a bit tired of trying everything I can think of and searching for a solution. I though about this so I try re-wrote the pogram in LabView 6.1 and be hold it work fine, so I got me thinking whna could be possibly creating this issue  after a bit of though I remember that when I was installing LabView 8.5 ToolKit  it display some error windows for LabView/CVI and Database Tool 1.01 that I though I have taking care of or the installation did......... so I reinstall LabView 8.5 ToolKit ......
This time it when trough without a problem I allso make sure that the MDAC 2.5 was install. When the installetion for the database come up it ask me for Modify, Repear or Remove  I selected Modify the it show that the MDAC was mark for no down load so I select it for download. Now the database is working properly.
I did not think of reinstalling the toolkit at the beginning because the othe SubVI for reading the database (wich it reads 50 columns) work fine with no issues so I though writting to the database should work hummmm...... a bit pasull!!
Once agian thanks for your responds

  • Restrict access to specific network devices

Is there a way through ACS to limit user logons to only specific devices? I know through NAR, I can restrict the source address, but how can I restrict the destination?
    Thanks

    I'm having the same problem.
The ACS in NAR is mandatory to use a AAA Client plus the client and I would like to limit only by the AAA client.
It means, the ACS uses the attributes
    Calling-station-ID (Final client)
    Called-station-ID (Network Access Server NAS)
I would like to limit only based on Called station.
If you get somehow to solve it please post here.
    Thanks

  • I have an error message: "Windows cannot access the specific device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item." I have re-installed and I have the same message.

My husband click a disallow button that came up and now I can't get Firefox to work again. I uninstalled and re-installed, I upgraded to Windows 7 and still have the same error message.

Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.<br />
Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.

  • F_LFA1_BEK - access to specific vendor

    Hello,
my first posting....hope someone has an answer...
We need to give 2 users transaction FBL1N (vendor line items) with only access to 2 specific vendors.
As far as we know there is no authority object for the vendor account number itself.
So we thought we can use object F_LFA1_BEK. We entered an  authorization group (LFA1-BEGRU) to this 2 vendors and added this group to F_LFA1_BEK. So far so good.
Problem is now that it is still possible to access all vendors where no authorization group is maintained in the vendors master record. (No authorization group is the default case and it is not possible to add another one the other vendors)
Is it possible to achieve this with F_LFA1_BEK or is there any other solution?
    Thanks a lot!
    Christian

    Hi Alex,
of course it is possible to do it that way and we already use the LFB1-BEGRU to restrict access to specific vendors.
But we have a lot of different accounting groups and a lot of users who create/maintain vendors each being responsible for one or more accounting groups. And furthermore this is relevant for 2 company codes.
And what I haven't mentioned yet: This also needed for customers (FBL5N).
So you are right it is possible and it is the standard way but in our case currently too much effort.
    Thanks.

  • Drive restriction group policy causes error message when accessing Open and Save As Dialog Boxes on Windows 8.1

We are running Windows 8.1 Pro x86
I am really curious as to why the drive restriction group policy causes the error message to pop up:
"This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator."
It does not prevent from actual saving so functionality is not lost but it really annoys our end users and we're getting a lot of complaints. We cannot use the workaround of hiding drives instead of restricting as this still presents security issues. This
is happens when saving (or clicking on a button like "Browse" that opens the 'Open' dialogue box) in all Office 2013 applications, Internet Explorer, Paint, Notepad, and probably most others. I've looked at many forums and no suggestions for workarounds
have succeeded for us to get rid of this error message and in fact, I read a post that stated that someone contacted Microsoft and they said this was by design and there is no workaround. I find this very unfortunate that we either have the choice of compromising
security or annoying our end users. It seems to me like the new dialogue box in Windows 8.1 (and maybe 8?) attempts to access the local drive under the logged in user's account before it actually opens up the dialogue box which conflicts with the group policy
that restricts access to the drive.
Has anyone at all had any luck getting this to go away without removing the restrictions? It seems like the answer is either buried in the Windows code or somewhere in the registry.
Thank you in advance for your time!

Thank you for your time and response! Unfortunately, we have the machine locked down pretty tight (they are public use computers that require heavy restriction) and it is set to restrict all drives so access is limited to the local profile. We did try
testing your method, however, by adding the Desktop as an allowed location in the Office policy (which would not solve the issue for the other applications but was good for a test) using the path %userprofile%\desktop. When choosing that location, it does
not throw the error but unfortunately, it does not remember like it did for your with the E: drive so it still always throws the error when first loading the dialogue box no matter what I do. If you're able to confirm that this is simply by design and we're
just expected to inform our users to click through the errors, then I guess that's the accepted answer. Although, do you think that there might be a registry key value that is set after you save to the E: drive for the first time? Maybe we could set that value
to %userprofile%\desktop if it's doing the redirection after the first save through registry. Thanks again!
