Error 2343 uninstall error

I have had trouble with iTunes today and have followed instructions to uninstall then reinstall.  The only problem area is in icloud which was installed Jan 2013 and will not uninstall.  It says error 2343.  I cannot reinstall icloud because of this.  How can I remove Icloud?

Harkmark did you run a system optimizer?  Error 2343 indicates the path entry was removed from the registry.  This can occur when a system optimizer or some other similar utility is utilized to remove software.
Please see "Error 2343: Specified path is empty" | Install | Windows for information on how to resolve this error.  In the future please use the Programs and Features control panel to remove any installed software.

  • I am trying to install iCloud Update on My HP Pavilion Windows 8.1and keep getting "error 2343 icloud"

I have an HP Pavilion 500-214 Desktop with an AMD Elite Quad-core AB-6500 Accelerated Processor, 8GB DDR3 System Memory, and a 2TB Hard Drive.  My Operating System is Windows 8.1 64 bit.  I have been trying to install Apple iCloud 4.0 and keep getting this message:
icloud For Windows Installer Error: This installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package.  Error Code 2343 ~ Try downloading only and install manually.
Neither option have worked.  I need to know whatto do in order to fix this problem.  I have not used "troubleshooting" but will if suggested; went straight to Google Search for error 2343 - icloud

I could never get icloud to download except for it would go into a downloaded folder which I kept getting error 2343 every time I tried to install, so I deleted that folder and then I had to uninstall iTunes first  and then I was able to install icloud and then after that reinstalled iTunes!  It worked! I have been trying for 2 months now and finally did it!  I did not lose anything that was backed up to iTunes!  I also have new laptop with windows 8.1

  • WSUS service failure and uninstall error 0x80070643

    Hello
I recently had a drive fail in a RAID 1 array on a Windows Server 2008 Standard SP2 domain controller. The drive was replaced and the array successfully rebuilt the drive. Our domain comprises a Win2k8 DC (which WSUS is installed on), a W2k3 DC, a W2k8 Storage
Server and various W2k, Win XP, Vista and W7 clients.
WSUS3 SP2 is installed on this computer and had been working fine. After the drive was rebuilt WSUS stopped working. WSUS is organised as follows:
The drive is divided into 3 partitions. C: contains the program files, D: contains the WSUS database and update files. E: is a system recovery partition.
After the drive was rebuilt I had a problem connecting to the WSUS console. I am logged on using the domain administrator account. I restarted the server last night in the hope that it would solve this issue. After restarting, the problem persists. When
I start Windows Server Update Services from Administrative Tools the centre pane shows a large red X and 'Error: Connection Error'. The option to 'Reset Server Node' results in the same error. The error, available from 'Copy Error to Clipboard' is:
The WSUS administration console was unable to connect to the WSUS Server via the remote API.
Verify that the Update Services service, IIS and SQL are running on the server. If the problem persists, try restarting IIS, SQL, and the Update Services Service.
The WSUS administration console has encountered an unexpected error. This may be a transient error; try restarting the administration console. If this error persists,
Try removing the persisted preferences for the console by deleting the wsus file under %appdata%\Microsoft\MMC\.

IIS and SQL are running fine as far as I am aware. I also have Sophos Enterprise Console installed which uses SQL to store it's data and that is working fine.
After a bit of searching around the 'net I thought the easiest solution would be to uninstall WSUS, leave the database and update files in place and then re-install. I ran the uninstallation procedure from the Server Manager, but because the service is not
running, and even after starting the service, uninstallation fails:
Windows Server Update Services: Removal failed
Error: Attempt to un-install Windows Server Update Services failed with error code 0x80070643.  Fatal error during installation
I saw a reference to the online article located here:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/sus/archive/2008/11/05/how-to-manually-remove-all-of-wsus.aspx but the article states it is out of date and I did not want to make a bad situation worse by following the instructions.
Can anyone help me with this, please. Ideally, I would like to be able to keep the updates as downloading them again will consume a substantial amount of our monthly allowance. However, if the best thing is to remove the entire installation, then I will
    ahppily go with that, too.
    Thanks.

I'm experiencing this issue, but haven't been able to resolve it with the steps in Lawrence's post (and, another thanks from me for another detailed post from Lawrence!)
It's a 2008 box which had a relatively new WSUS install that just stopped working - not sure why.  Unable to figure out why it had stopped, I tried to Remove the WSUS role, but that failed with the error above.
During the manual uninstall steps above...
    (1) Using Windows Installer Cleanup Utility only showed the Windows Internal Database, not WSUS.  I removed
    that.
    (2) Removed %ProgramFiles%\Update

Would anyone on the thread have suggestions for what I might be able to do, to wipe the slate clean with the Internal
    Database on this box?
The WID is not used for anything else, but there is other production software installed, (using SQL - not relevant, just
mentioning) and reinstalling the OS is not an option.

  • When opening iTunes I continue to get the same messages, 'The program can't start because AVFoundationCF.dll is missing' and 'iTunes was not installed correctly. Error 7 (Windows error 126)' I've uninstalled, reinstalled many times - nothing! help please.

When opening iTunes on my new Windows 7 PC I continue to get the same messages, 'The program can't start because AVFoundationCF.dll is missing' and 'iTunes was not installed correctly. Error 7 (Windows error 126)' I've uninstalled and reinstalled many times to no avail, even tried it on a different user account and still nothing. I recently installed Panda Internet Security 2012 (about 12 days ago), initially iTunes worked fine as usual but within the last few days I've been  unable to open it with the same messages appearing. I've read through some of these pages and tried everything that's been advised, uninstalling and reinstalling while internet and laptop security is swithched off, downloading tools to completely remove anything related to iTunes, tried it in Safe Mode, nothing has worked. I've also noticed that in the start menu when I click on iTunes, it says '(empty)' where it should have the logo and ability to start the program, does this mean it doesn't download + install properly each time I've tried? Any help would be enormously appreciated.

Doublechecking. Have you also tried the following user tip?
Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates

  • Why do I face error 7 Windows error 193 when i try to reinstall my iTunes? I've tried few times uninstalling and reinstalling but it seems that it doesn't work.

Since yesterday, I failed to update the latest iTunes. Today i tried to open iTunes but it says iTunes were not installed properly. And this error 7 (Windows error 193) popped out. I tried to search the solution by people suggestions, which is uninstall all the apple program and reinstall it again. I tried few times but the same thing came out. What am I suppose to do for this problem?

So each time you have tried to install an older build you have followed the removal steps given in the second box of my user tip, or some similar process, that uninstalls all Apple software components, and cleans the folders those components would have installed to, rebooted, and then tried an alternate build?
Do you recieve any error messages during the installation? Have you, for example, tried the process outlined at Install Missing Components? If so which component will not install and what error message does it give you? I can point you in the direction of steps to generate installation logs if you wish. Hello< I have windows 7, I tried to install the new itunes version, last night 1/30/14, Im getting msvcr80.dll error 7 (windows error  126). Does anyone have a remedy for this? When I try to uninstall the ituned program it says it can't be found and to make sure I have permission to uninstall.

Same problem today. Took five times to reinstall without any error messages. I did the following:
    1) Went to the C:\program files (x86)\iTunes and C:\program files\iTunes folders and moved every file ending in .dll to the desktop (even if two files in same location had the same name, just replaced)
    2) Restarted computer and still got error message
    3) Uninstalled all apple programs possible in the following order......itunes, apples software update, apple mobile device support, bonjour, and apple application support.....all performed using the microsoft control panel
    4) put all the .dll files on the desktop in the trash and emptied (this is a step apple support did not recomment in their posted solutions but for a final try I wanted to delete everything apple).
    5) Restarted computer.
    6) Re-installed itunes from apple website
No error messages during re-install and was able to open shortcut in one try.

  • I have uninstalled and reinstalled the new iTunes but it still will not work.  I keep getting the error mesage relating to MSVCR80.dll, the installation error 7 (windows error 126). I have tried moving and removing the dll files including the QTMovie dll

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes 15 times regarding the latest release and still get the MSVCR80.dll and Error 7 (Windows error 126) messages.
I have tried moving the dll filesincluding the QTMovie dll file to now avail.  Can anyone please help, as I am sure you all, like me, have thousnads of dollars and songs invested in this system and need a fix fast.  Can anyone please help???

Dear avid iTunes users - I have cracked it!!!
The response from Apple/iTunes was extremely poor and did not solve the problem.
I have a look in msconfig and observed which applications/services were running - one of which was the 'Apple Application Support'
So ... I had a look at what was in this folder and found the APS Daemon.exe file causing all the trouble.
So ... I simply deleted the Apple folder found in C:\program files\common files\.
I did a restart and did not get the MSCVCR80.dll or Error 7 (windows 126) error messages.
I reinstalled the current version of iTunes (for the 16th time!)
    Hey presto!!!
    IT WORKED :-O Woooohooo!!!
So ... to all those smarty-pants boffin-brianiacs out there (apple/iTunes): this is how you do it!!!!!!!!!!
YOU DO NOT NEED TO UNINSTALL ALL THE APPLE/QUICKTIME OR RELATED PROGRAMS - JUST DELETE THE APPLE FOLDER IN THE C:\PROGRAM FILES DIRECTORY.
    Nuff said.

  • HT1349 I have installed and uninstalled iTunes on multiple occasions, but keep getting the error message that "Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes ..... Error 2 (Windows Error 2)".  Can't find any useful solution.  Can anyone help?  Pleeee

I have instlled and uninstalled iTunes on multiple occasions but iTunes fails to start with message "Apple Application support is required to run iTunes .......... Error 2 (Windows error 2)".  Most most frustrating.  Can anyone help, pleeeeeeease!!

iTunes "Apple Application Support is required... Error 2" and possible fix.
    Hi Redgilly (and others).
I just resolved this on Win Vista (should apply equally for Win7 too). Please uninstall iTunes before proceeding though. I'll walk you through the process I followed, if you like you can jump straight to the Solution section.
    Problems:
The initial error during the installation of iTunes was:
An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,version="8.0.50727.4053",type="win32",publicKeyToken='1fc8b 3b9a1e18e3b",processorarchitecture="x86". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT:0x8007054F
The error (after installing iTunes) when trying to run iTunes was:
Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again. Error 2 (Windows error 2).
After trying various fixes around the forums I came across this MSKB article, which relates to the first installation error:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2688946
This lead me to trying to install MS Visual C++ but I received the following error trying to install that:
    Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly ‘Microsoft.VC80.ATL,type=”win32”,version=”8.0.50727.762”,publicKeyToken=”1fc8b3 b9a1e18e3b”,processorArchitecture=”amd64”’. Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x80070BC9. Assembly interface: IassemblyCacheItem, function: Commit, component: {837BF1EB-D770-94EB-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E}
Note: The installation of VC++ rolls back when it fails.
    Solution:
Through this error I found this MSKB article:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/946414
The Automated MS "Fix It" msi package didn’t work.
Note: Please backup your registry first (see the above MSKB article for instructions).
I opened the registry and (as instructed in the MSKB article) deleted the following keys:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMPONENTS\
    PendingXmlIdentifier
    NextQueueEntryIndex
    AdvancedInstallersNeedResolving
    Reboot and reinstall iTunes.
    I hope this helps.

  • ITunes update shows runtime error R6034/iTunes error 7/Windows error 1114. iTunes tells me to reinstall but I've uninstalled/restalled and get same error messages.

After iTunes update I see this - Runtime error R6034 "application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly".  ThenUninstalled then I also get iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes error 7 (Windows error 1114).  I've tried fixes for runtime but computer says there are no errors.  I've uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes and get all the above messages.  Now when I start up my computer the runtime error pops up, but once it is closed computer works fine until I try to open iTunes.  I've even tried a system restore going back to November.  I use iTunes for audiobooks on iPod and I'm going to get desperate soon. OK, this worked for me:( Original Post by r0tt3n4pp13)
    1. Save iTunes install file to your desktop.
    2. Disconnect from internet.
    3. Disable Firewall/Security software.
    4. Run install. Note that it installs Application Support and a bunch of other software this time.
    5. Run iTunes.
    6. Enable Firewall/Security software.
