Error 2927 when creating VM from template to remote SMB storage or CSV volume.

Hi everybody! When you try to create a VM from a template cause an error (2927), this occurs only if I create a VM on remote SMB storage or CSV volume, if I create a VM from a template on a local repository server (local disk C:\ for example) Hyper-V,
while no such problem and everything goes well. Already during the week I can not solve this problem, and and tried many methods but they do not help. Please help me to solve this problem. OS 2012R2 with last update, VMM2012R2 with last update.

Yes I have installed UR2 for VMM and also applied the T-SQL script, I created new test environment, added Hyper-V hosts in my environment.

Problems when Creating Pages from Templates in Dreamweaver 8

When creating new pages from templates in Dreamweaver 8(Ver
8.0.2). The full path for images is not created
i.e. in template the code is <img src="main_page_logo.png"
width="814" height="172" longdesc="Main Page Logo" />
In the new file the code should be :-
<img src="../../Templates/main_page_logo.png" width="814"
height="172" longdesc="Main Page Logo" />
but only :-
<img src="main_page_logo.png" width="814" height="172"
longdesc="Main Page Logo" /> is in the code.
but this does work in Version 8.0.

It was regarded as a bug in previous versions, and was fixed
in the 8.0.2
release. In normal circumstances, ALL links in a template
file must be
relative to the template document, not relative to where you
intend to save
the child pages. Thus, there would be no way to have a link
in your
template document like the first one you show, e.g.,
<img src="whatever.png"....
*unless* the file was actually in the Templates folder (a bad
idea).
In 8.0.2, you can set your PREFERENCES for the Templates
category to NOT
MANAGE relative links. Be aware that this may have unintended
consequences
for you - specifically regarding other relative links in your
site.

Strange error message when creating Project Excel Template, can anyone explain?

I am getting this error every time I create a Project Excel Template, and I don’t know why, nor do I understand what the error message is trying to tell me. The project is very simple, just a task list with resources assigned, but

thx John for your help. I don't think any thing at all is applied... I get the same message if I just create a new blank project and try the export. The resulting output looks fine - it's just the message that worries me. I am on the road training some folks
in Africa in regards to the beauty of MS Project 2013, and this one is a bit embarrassing. Perhaps it's an OS thing? The only substantial thing that's changed on my machine is that I went from Windows 8 to 8.1. Hmmm, also installed Visio. Well, thx again!

Error Message when creating file from INDCS3 files

Running, Windows XP, Creative Suite CS3,, Acrobat 8 Pro, and all updates. Unable to create a PDF using the "mulitple files" selection and selecting INDCS3 files on a server, receiving the following error:
-----Invalid value for parameter 'using" of event 'exportFile'. Expected PDFExportrPreset, but received "standard". Files all open in InDesignCS3, but no PDF file is created. Able to create PDFs directly from IND without any problems.----
Was able to handle this function in CS2 without any problems. Can you tell me where we are going wrong?

Error message when creating PDF from Indesign and Photoshop

Hi, I reinstalled my Adobe CS2 product, and now get an error message each time I create a PDF from either InDesign or Photoshop. The message reads:
The instruction at "0x0045c9e5" referenced memory at "0x0215ebdc". The memory could not be "read".
I appreciate any help in resolving this issue.

Can't create VM from template

Hello,
I'm getting this error when creating VM from template:

The VM is actually created despite this message bot when I try to power it up I'm getting another error:

The template was copied from another VM pool (where it works fine, version 2.1.1) to a newly configured VM Server (2.1.5).
The new server is configured for HA (shared storage) and I was able to create VM from ISO without any problem there.
The template was created from existing VM (Oracle EL4 PV) running on the "old" server.
Any ideas where I should look into?

It's all sorted now.
What I've learnt: OVS/Xen hypervisor doesn't seem to handle 4kB iSCSI block sizes.
I had to change it to 512 bytes (configuration on the iSCSI storage - nothing on the Oracle VM side) and re-create all volumes.
Just in case you experience something similar...

I encounter a issue when creating a VM template from a virtual machine whihc is store on hyper host, Can anyone give a suggestion to resolve it.
The virtual machine Windows 2008 R2 20110722 cannot be used in this operation because it is on a perimeter network.
Move virtual machine Windows 2008 R2 20110722 off of the perimeter network or select a virtual machine that is not on a perimeter network, and then try the operation again.

vCenter has a different concept of what it means to be a template than SCVMM does.
If you are copying the VHD to the SCVMM Library and building a Template form that, be sure that the OS in the VM is generalized by running sysprep.
Otherwise, your VMs from that template will fail deployment. This is what the SCVMM process of creating a Template from a VM does, it applies sysprep to the VM, then copies it (the VM (VHD + configuration) to the Library, then deletes it.
You can also compose a template using a sysprep prepared VHD that already exists in the Library.
Now, a non-domain joined Hyper-V server is a different thing from a 'perimeter' host. That has to do with how it was added to SCVMM.

Can't create VM from template on iSCSI

Hello,
I'm trying to create new VM from original Oracle template "OVM_EL5U3_X86_64_PVM_4GB" on iSCSI device without a success.
Steps to reproduce:
1) /OVS is mounted as iSCSI block device
2) Original Oracle template is copied into /OVS/seed_pool/OVM_EL5U3_X86_64_PVM_4GB
3) Oracle VM Manager - Import template (no problem)
4) Oracle VM Manager - Create VM from template
Result: Files are copied into running_pool, vm.cfg is updated, new VM is visible in VM Manager but with this message:

5) Oracle VM Manager - Start new VM
Result:
Status in VM is Running
I can connect using VNC console
But the VM is constantly rebooting with these messages on the console:

Looks like there is a problem with partition sizes within the VM image file (xvda: p2 exceeds device capacity)
I've tried to mount iSCSI formated with ocsf2 and ext3 - I'm getting the same error.
However there is no problem when I mount /OVS as NFS or local drive and repeat the steps above.
Any suggestion would be highly appreciated,

"Macros in this project are disabled..." error message when creating PDF files

The following error occurs when creating a PDF file using a document that was created from a MS Word 2007 templates.
"Macros in this project are disabled..."
The security settings are set appropriately - it's not that. I have done everything I can think of including asking Microsoft; they say it's not them. It may not be, but I do not know how to get around it. It did not happen before upgrading my templates to the Office 2007 format.
Has this happened to anyone else? There is no coding within th etemplates regartding PDFs. We are using Adobe Professional X. The error only occurs when we use Adobe Pro X.
One thing I just noticed, our templates get the following message when we go to save as a PDF using Adobe:
Acrobat PDFMAker needs to save the file before continuing. Do you want PDFMaker to save the file and continue?

Does it work the first time after you delete your Normal.dotm file? You may be running into the same issue that is detailed in this post Unable to open document. Please check to see if you have read permission for the above file.

Switch your FCP preferences to show frames and see what's happen at that frame number. Try trash any render files. Switch off background rendering. Don't render. Try replacing the clip at the problem area.

Remove Templates from Create Incident From Template Selection

Originally all users had access to all of the templates created, however now that we have been using SCSM for a while the number of templates created has started to grow and make the Create Incident From Template Screen difficult to navigate. I am
trying to limit the number of templates each team sees based on security group, however when I uncheck the templates from the Form Templates section of the User Role, they continue to display for all users. Is there somewhere else I have to go in and
change this that I am missing?

(By default the End User role has access to all templates, and the members of that role is Authenticated Users)

ERROR Could not create DOM from control.xml

Hi All,
I am installaing 4.7EE on Sun Solaris 5.9 SPARC with Oracle and JDK version is 1.4.2_08. When i am running sapinst, sapinst GUI opens and after when i am selecting the Central installtion and i click on Next it giving error message that
WARNING Could not read file control.xml. Please make sure that you called SAPinst with the correct control file (the control file is given to SAPinst as its first command line parameter or as value of the command line property SAPINST_CONTROL_URL)
ERROR Could not create DOM from control.xml
How to solve this error. I have searched in SDN but i am unable to get the solution.

Hi Kiran,
I have given all permissions to the control file. But these control files are in different places /SAPINST/UNIX/SUNOS_64/PATCOL640/WEBAS630 and ORA, DB2, DB6, IND, INF, ADA in these folders i can c the Control.xml files. But i have given all read write and execute permissions but still its getting the same error. I have downloaded the same IM for 3 times and tried.. But the result is the same.
Is there any other way of work around for this...
