If its b/c you just down loaded the itunes 6 you have any probs with getting into you music store after downloading a new version of itunes you have to configure your personal firewall in Norton. To do this - Open you Norton Internet Security, click on Status & Settings, go down to Personal Firewall and click on Configure...Click on the Programs tab at the top, in Manual Program Control, scroll down until you see itunes, click on the arrow next to it (it might say BLOCK ALL right now)...Change this to PERMIT ALL... and you should be good to go!! good luck all!

Macafee security center is may be the culprit.
    Open Macafee then: select;
    Internet & Network > configure
    Firewall > Advanced
Programm Permissions > scroll down to Itunes
    Highlight (click on)
Then Grant full access to Itunes.
    APPLY then OK
When you select store from Itunes you will need to register with Itunes.
    Try that or:
    Disable your firewall.

  • I am Getting Error -3212 when trying to sign into itunes store

  • After updating to latest version of itunes i get error -3212 when trying to connect to itunes store, says not connected to internet.  But internet status is ok and can use browser

just updated to the latest version of itunes for windows.  i can't stream any of my radio stations and when i try to connect to the itunes store i get an error -3212 message saying i'm not connect to the internet, yet my browser works and my wireless status is ok.

I also had this issue when one day itunes stopped working for me on windows 8...
the error message I received first was: C:Programme files\common files\Apple\Apple Push service.dll is either not designed to run on windows or contains an error.
followed by: ITunes not installed Error 7 (Windows error 193)
Your response addressed how to fix this issue with earlier windows operating systems, but not for windows 8, so what ended up working for me was your advice applied a little differently. For anyone running windows 8 needing to know how to resolve this issue by repairing the Apple Application Support program, try following these simple steps - what a relief it was to have itunes working again after applying b noir's answer to the windows 8 operating system!
    1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, and then tap Control Panel.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, click Settings, and then click Control Panel.)
    2. Click the Programs and Features icon.
    3. In the list of programs and features, find the Apple Application Support feature and click to select it.
    4.  In the gray title bar above it, click Repair.
    5. Approve the window prompts that follow until the repair has been completed.
    6. Relaunch iTunes.
Hope this helps & good luck!

  • Error -3212 when trying to connect to iTunes store.

Help please anybody. Haven't been able to connect to iTunes store for about a week, to start with it would connect to a very basic store front, then after installing latest iTunes, I keep getting an error message with error -3212, have looked through lots of other threads, and tried a few suggestions but nothing seems to work.
I'm on an old iMac G4 with OS X 10.5.8 and iTunes 9.0.3

iTunes has been denied by your firewall. Add iTunes to your firewall allowed list.

  • Cannot connect to iTunes store - error -3212

iTunes is telling me that I cannot connect to their store or to my account. But I am connected to the internet as writing this support request should prove. The message says 'an unknown error occured - error (-3212)'  This error only happened yesterday and is happening with both of my iPods.  I have rebooted my laptop.  When I did the iTunes Diognostic Check it says 'secure link to iTunes Store failed' but the others passed ('Network interfaces & Internet connection verified').  My computer is only 1 yr old (Asus Model U47A - i7, 8gb ram) and one iPod is only a week old and another is older.  I hope there is a simple solution as I am not very tech savvy.  I have checked online and have not seen this error anywhere.

I 'played' around with my Norton 360, did a scan, etc, and whatever I did something seems to have done the trick. It is solved and I am able to connect to iTunes store.  I wish you luck with your -50 error.

  • Updating to ios 8.1.3 causes error 3212

Hi all I run on Windows 7 and an iPhone 5, which has all worked OK on previous versions of ios 8- so when prompted via iTunes to update to ios 8.1.3-  I downloaded and installed successfully, but after that I tunes came up with 'istore couldn't be reached' error 3212. I tried various fixes suggested on other forums, but none worked. So I removed ios and then reinstalled 8.1.2 from the Apple site and it works fine again. Anybody else had the same problem and are there any fixes please, other than not updating to 8.1.3?  Thanks

  • Itunes error -3212

I upgraded to the new iTunes and since then have not been able to connect to the iTunes store. I get an unknown error (-3212) message that pops up. iTunes also will not recognize any of my ipods either.  The computer recognizes the ipod but it will not show up in iTunes. Anyone know how to solve this issue? I've spent hours on the phone with tech support and have not been able to resolve the issue. I can connect to the store using the wifi on my ipod touch but not through my computer and it is getting pretty frustrating.

i have searched on google and solutions have not been able to help me. I have heard that McAfee is generally the culperate in this situation but i have even fully removed McAfee from my machine and it is still not working.

If you  using Norton 360 Antivirus application

  • Error -3212? Help!

I can't connect to i-tunes I keep getting this error, (-3212) can anyone help?

I am able to connect to iTune store and I am able to make purchases. However, then it asks if I'm sure I want to purchase and when I say yes, then it gives the 3212 error. It's my kid's ipod and this has been going on for months, so I don't think it's just that the server is busy for the holidays. Could it be a McAfee setting getting in the way? In the iTunes window, there are about 8 affected purchases that are "grayed out" that give this error message. What do I do?

This alert is often related to iTunes and iTunesHelper being blocked by software firewall.
If this happens, change the permission level for iTunes and iTunesHelper in your software firewall to allow full access.
This should allow iTunes and iTunesHelper to both send and receive data from the iTunes Store.
