ERROR -3259/ERROR-48

I have been trying to download Ver. 1.1.1 for a week now, and i keep getting this error. If it does download...I get Error-48. Why is it doing this? I have Windows XP and i'm on a broadband connection. Help me out please!

I use itunes all the time, I know how to download and transfer. I own video ipod 80, and I just bought an ipod shuffle. Since I bought the shuffle, itunes will not transfer all my purchases. i.e. my last order contained 43 downloads, it only transferred one song and one video from what I bought. The rest keep popping up error 3259 - and "network connection timed out"... I have done everything your site has suggested. And it has been two days now, and this is not acceptable. I want what I paid for. This has never happened before until I got the shuffle. I have updated itunes, and even redownloaded and installed, and the same crap keeps popping up. It's odd how 2 of the 43 items download just fine, and the rest do not.

Error 3259 and ipad 2 restore

I have an ipad 2 and the current version of itunes. All of this happened yesterday after I tried to update to the newest IOS.
The ipad screen shows the connect to itunes screen. When connected to itunes it wants to restore but wants to restore with update. Every time I run update it runs about 1/2 way and then goes to error 3259.
The itunes screen on the computer shows the ipad as n/a serial number and from the itunes menu I cannot restore it at all. The ipad hasn't been hacked and ran perfectly before I started the update yesterday morning.
Help?!?!?

What does error -3259 mean? How can i update my ipod touch to the new ios 5?

I been updating my ipod touch 4 software to the new ios 5 all day. i tried disabling my security programs and firewall, different download programs and reinstalling iTunes, and restarting my ipod touch. But for each attempt i get a different error. i went to the Specific update and restore errror code page and got a reason for each error except for error -3259. Basically my question is: 1. How can i update my ipod software to io5 and 2. What is the reason behind error -3259?

Connect it to iTunes on a computer and update it from there. Note that the second generation iPod touch(which includes 8GB models sold at the same time as the third generation ones) can't be updated past 4.2.1.

Downloading message error 3259

While I update my usual podcasts the download is at a snails pace and ends up stopping with a message error 3259. What is 3259? Everything else on my pc runs just fine the only exception being updating my podcasts. Along with the question of what is error code 3259 how might I resolve the problem? Thanks for any help someone might offer.

Midway through a download it stopped. When I tried to start the download again, I got error 3259. All my downloads just hang at zero kb and I get error 3259. I didn't change anything that I'm aware of and I tried a few things to no avail. Any fixes?

issue. its a 4GB and it will NOT put any more than
about 100 songs on it before that dang "error -69"
message pops up. its so annoying and the price i paid
for this ipod, i should be able to put as many songs

Error 3259 while downloading Podcasts

I had the dreaded error 3259 show up on two of my computers one running vista and windows 7. I am running the latest version of I-Tunes.
I noticed that others were having the same trouble. I tried everything that was suggested to correct the problem, but they didn't work.
For some reason I_Tunes can't make a connection to update podcasts. The only way to get around the problem is to uninstall I-Tunes 11
and reinstall version 10. There is one little trick though. Go to http://www.pcworld.com/article/2019315/how-to-go-back-to-itunes-10-part-2.html
and watch the video very carefully. I think apple has a bug with the latest version of I-Tunes that they need to fix. Too many people are having problems with error 3259 in the Community.

Agree it is a timeout error but I'd like to suggest a different solution related to the timeout setting in Internet Explorer and a slow or intermittent internet connection or a busy server holding the podcast. While it may be aggravated by various anti-virus software programs, believe the root of the problem is the timeout setting that was changed to 30 seconds in Internet Explorer 7. The timout setting had been 5 minutes in all Internet Explorer versions since ver 4.0. See Microsoft Support KB item KB181050 at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/181050/en-us. Believe it provides a better and more encompassing solution for computers running Microsoft XP and Vista. Cheers.

How can I download iphone software 5 when I keep getting this error message: There was a problem downloading the s/w for the iphone ...The network connection timed out. It's error 3259

I keep getting an error message saying my network connection has timed out when I try to download the iphone 5 software to my iphone 4 while it's connected to my laptop. Then it says make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active. The download gets all the way to the end (takes about an hour mind you), and keeps timing out. It's error 3259. FYI, I have the latest version of iTunes.

Security software on your computer/router is the usual cause of this. Turn off/disable or uninstall all anti-virus software & firewalls. Try again.

Hi. I also had the same problem until now (with iTunes v9.0.2.25).
Finally I found that application content filtering was switched on in Eset Smart Security so I switched it off.
Also my PC is connected to a router so I set up port forwarding as well.
So I suggest disabling any firewall software for the time updating, and set up port forwarding in case you are using a router.

When Downloading OS4, I get error 3259

So I just got a new computer after not having a computer for about a year or so. The last update that I have for my 16 GB 3rd Generation iPod Touch is update 2.2.1.I'm trying to update my iPod to the newest software, and when I try to update it, I get this message: "There was a problem downloading the software for the ipod 'XXXXXXX's iPod'.
