Error -3259 "The network connection timed out"

I've recently encountered a problem while trying to download music through itunes on my computer. My internet is working just fine, and when i click download, the music starts downloading as it should, but after doing nothing for a few seconds, i get the error that the network connection has timed out. Any ideas?

Can anyone come up with anything?
It appears after much research this problem has been caused for a variety of issues. Here's what I've done:
Tried disabling firewall
Tried disabling anti-virus
Tried unchecking simultaneous downloads
Tried opening up ports as was suggested in some places
Uninstalled some updates to Windows Vista
Completely uninstalled itunes and all its components then reinstalled
Can anyone think of anything else I can try?

ITunes error message: The Network Connection Timed Out???

New 30GB and Nano for Christmas. Per the instructions, I downloaded the Itunes update, 7.0.2. Since then, we can't get on Itunes store. Apple support said the site was too busy. I've downloaded it on my work computer and laptop and the store opens, but not on our home desktop. I am trying not to have to resort to exporting hundereds of music files. Anybody overcome this one?

i get the same message connection timed out, but instead i cannot download songs i can purchase them but they wont download please someone overcome this one i am being billed for these purchases and i need to know how to download them without error 3259 SOMEONE is there a number or email? because everyone is having this same problem please someone find a solution!!

While setting up my xpress email account, I get to the final step where my phone is "generating secure keys" at this point continue to get the Error S7135. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Ok, the echos of this issue are all over the place. Hundreds of posts now exist on this topic. Will it take national press before Apple says something? Come on Apple, what is up? Is it bandwidth? Is it the app? Is it a mistake? Admit it, fix it and let's get going. Silence is not a friendly user interface.

Check your firewall settings, and the settings of any third party security software you may be running.
This error is usually caused by McAfee security software or a firewall, hence the Windows issue.
If it continues, contact iTunes and make it clear that you are not running Windows and that you checked for conflicting software.

I have a quick wifi connection (Mac shows it as about 35 megabits) but I couldn't get the 5.0.1 OTA to work, I had to do it via cable to my computer's iTunes - and as I was already on iOS 5 it was only a small download, basically the same size as the OTA size.
As the original poster is talking about a 730 meg download then I assume that they are still on iOS 4.3.5 or below and can therefore only download via their computer's iTunes - you need to be on iOS 5+ before you get the OTA option.

Did you try the solution given, and if yes, did it work?
I have done several "attempted downloads, and see the full file download, typically taking 30 minutes to complete, and then something goes wrong.
I am happy to suspend AV and FW software, but would like to know if it is a good fix or not first?

Just surfing through iTunes store and 2 out every 3 times I click on something to see it like an album or something I get this error: We can't process your request right now, The Network Connection Timed Out. This is happening a lot when ever I go into the iTunes store and try to click on anything a link or a picture for a link to something it pops up and says the network connection timed out. I ran diagonostics and everything is fine but still keep getting this error a lot. I also checked my McAfee anti virus and iTunes has Full Permissions and all access. So why do I keep getting this error message?

Stop with the silly and pointless fonts.
A simple search of the forums for the actual error would have revealed the resolution.
Temporarily disable all security software on the computer.

Is itunes store down? Keep getting an error message which says that the network connection timed out.

About 3 hours ago I downloaded some stuff off itunes. However in the last hour I cant seem to sign in or buy anything off itunes and I keep getting an error message that says that the network connection timed out and I should check the connection and try again.
