Error 4005 from itunes while update ios 7, now my iphone is only a brick
Dear all, yesterday i've tried to update my OS from OS 6.1.4 to OS 7. Also I've updated my itunes before by download from apple.com. When my phone was connected to my laptop, suddenly the process stop and pop up a windows that said error 4005 for unknown reason. and then the download was stop.
After that I tried to restore my phone, and showed by cord to itunes, but however the process keeps stopped. Now my phone is like only a brick . no response at all. I read several problem and tried to wait until today but still same response
if you still stuck in recovery mode download tiny umbrella the press exit recovery mode google it

IPod touch removed from iTunes while updating.
Hi,
I have an iPod touch 3rd Generation that I was updating to iOS 4.1, and in the middle of installing it I accidentally unplugged it from the Mac. The iPod is now only showing the update screen, and I cannot turn it off. I can not sync it back to iTunes 10.

Soft reset ur ipod / iphone (sleep/wake + home button for 5 - 10 seconds) it might not work from the first time but try to keep resetting and it will eventually work. After put your ipod / iphone back on and plug it in. Restore your ipod / iphone and have fun! -
Updated iOS 5 now my iphones a mess
I updated my iphone and my spouses on iTune with the new iOS 5. Since then we have our own contacts and each others. Plus the ones from our childs phone. If I delete a contact out of my phone it automatically deletes it out of my spouses phone. We also can not get the ringtones we purchased to play for the appropriate contact names we selected, even though they are checked in the sound settings in the phone. It shows the ringtones are there but will not play when the contact calls. Any ideas? Is this a iCloud thing?
It is an iCloud thing. Each device needs it's own iCloud/Apple ID if the intent is to sync contacts via iCloud.

I just had the same problem with my iphone, only thing i could do was completely restore factory settings, lost a bunch of pics and contacts in the process... hope you have better luck than me

Do just like the diagram indicates: connect your phone to your computer, open iTunes on the computer and then restore.

YOU ARE IN RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY. -
iPad 2 froze while updating iOS 7.0.4. When connected to PC & iTunes get the message in recovery mode, must restore. I have followed the steps to restore and still have the iTunes screen showing and iTunes still does not recognize device.

Ipod touch 4th gen was accidentally disconnected from laptop during update process. Now permanent screen pic is of the power cord w/ an arrow pointing up to itunes symbol. Holding the ctr & power buttons together for 6-10 sec causes apple pic to briefly appear and power cord/itunes pic reappears. Powering off and on has same effect. Attempting to reset.
It sounds like the iPod touch is in Recovery Mode, Try to restore it from iTunes again.
