On the Update tab page, specify how you want the system to respond to data records with errors:
                            a.      No update, no reporting (default)
If errors occur, the system terminates the update of the entire data package. The request is not released for reporting. However, the system continues to check the records.
                            b.      Update valid records, no reporting (request red)
This option allows you to update valid data. This data is only released for reporting after the administrator checks the incorrect records that have not been updated and manually releases the request by setting the overall status on the Status tab page in the monitor (QM action).
                            c.      Update valid records, reporting possible
Valid records can be reported immediately. Automatic follow-up actions, such as adjusting the aggregates, are also carried out.

Hope no one else has issues, but half way through it said it couldn't find the phone and the phone said reconnect
Which I did and it started again.... To stop half way through
I can only say how I found it but only when I said set up as new did it work after 3 hours of trying....

Error message for OS current update

We have a Mac desktop and are currently running OS X 10.8.3. We received notification of availability for update to received notification for update to 11.0.2. When we attempt to update, we receive an error message which states "an error has occurred while installing updates (103)". We have had the computer since last August and have successfully updated it as updates became available. The computer is currently "authorized" with the Apple store and iTunes. Any information for addressing this issue would be appreciated.
We are hopeful that resolution of this update issue will also address an recently discovered problem accessing photographs in our library. When accessing or attempting to access older photographs, we receive an error stating that we need to repair the library and also receive an error code 103. When we click repair library, nothing appears to happen and the issue is unresolved.
Given the similar error codes, we believe that these are interrelated issues. We would appreciate thoughts and comments.

This could be caused by several different things. While restoring your phone at what point does it pop up with this error message? Does it say waiting for iphone then hangs on then message appears? Need more details

I tried to upgrade my iphone 4 (32GB) software from itunes as there was always a message coming. After few time my iphone went to black screen and since that time it is showing me to connect my iphone to itunes ,whenever I am connecting it it is saying me to restore and update .. after reaching the update to firmware restore an error is coming with number 9 ( Error 9 ). I tried it many many times like over more than 20 times, but still its showing the same problem ,I changed 3 PCS , and 2 USB cables and ports .

Hot Fix error message for KB979344 "this update is not applicable to your computer", on Windows 7 64 bit with SP1

I've been having issues with an external Esata drive. Instead of being seen as a removeable drive, it is seen as a hard drive. This has caused us nothing but problems since our full disk encryption software automatically starts to encrypt
the drive rendering it useless.
The real problem I'm having is installing the Hot Fix, KB979344, for this issue. when tring to install, I get the message, "this update is not applicable to your computer" I've looked and this hot fix doesn't seem to be part of SP1, but
I could be missing it. Any thoughts?

This hotfix is already contained in Windows 7 Service Pack 1.
Please add the registry key to check if the issue persists. (For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. )
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Storage
Create a DWORD Value, name SATAHotplugPolicyOverride,
set 1 in Value Data.
Restart the computer to check if it works.

Error 2001 for IPhone4 - Thailand!

Very fed up with Apple support - how hot is iPhone in Thailand but NO independent SERVICE PROVIDERS???
Background - given unlocked iPhone 4 as gift - add local AIS simcard, works fine for approx 4 months - now error message that phone needs complete restall. OK so try both via my own macbook air AND with local Apple reseller - we BOTH get error message 2001 - how to fix and where to go???
FYI nothing to do with local carrier - trannsferred AIS sim to another phone , works perfectly. Desperate for practical next steps!

Check USB connections
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
Common errors: 13, 14, 1600-1629, 1643-1650, 2000-2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response”, and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.

Use another USB cable.

Are you following these instructions?
Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device.

HT1918 My husband's iPhone4 uses one apple id for purchases and updates, but another is listed in the App Store. How do I reconfigure his phone to only use the apple I'd and password that is used in the the "featured" section of the App Store?

My husband's iphone4 seems to have 2 apple ids. The one listed in the featured section of the App Store is the correct one. The one that asks to be signed into for purchase and updates is also mine, and the incorrect one. Hence, our devices are linked. How can I remove my apple Id from his phone so that there is no connection between the two?

I think it may be because he got his phone first and not seeing a future issue, I set his phone up to my already existing apple Id used for my iPod. If I connect his iPhone to our pc, can I create his own apple id account?
