Error 4450. Help! Christmas present.

I no longer can burn cds. Error 4450. I've tried slower and faster speeds. Worked before all these itunes updates.
I've now spent 12 hours and 7 cds trying in vain.
So frustrating. Should I just buy music elsewhere?

I was also experiencing this same error message and it is was frustrating because I've never had any problem until now. I was initially using a Maxell CD-R. On 2/1/06 I spoke with an ITunes support person and they said try a different CD. I then tried a Verbatim CD-RW and it worked perfectly. Good Luck.

Hey everyone, well my little brother just got the new i mac for christmas and i was setting it up for him but i ran into a huge problem. Everything was going fine but when i went to log in for the first time it keeps doing that jiggly thing and erases the password and doesn't let me in...and as well i put the mac osx disk in and now i can't get it to eject because the computer isn't logged in. i thought eventually that the password hint thing would come up but it doesn't it just keeps going back to the login screen.

alright so i reinstalled using the cd's that came with the computer...and everything went fine but then i got back to the exact same problem all over again lol went to the login screen tried to login wouldn't let me no password hint came up . so what i'm wondering is ...is there any way to go back to the original set up screen when you first turn on the computer( the whole thing where it says welcome in like 80 different languages) so i can changed my password and account name possibly but remember that i can't login so i can't use any programs to do this :S oh and ps i tried using caps lock and stuff and no combination worked...as well when i reinstalled using the disks there was no password changing option or anything like that .

Im trying to burn a halifax cd i baught on itunes and the disk burn gets cancelled not in any paticular song (ive tried a few times) and it says unable to burn because of error 4450 what do i do?

Christmas Presents - HELP!!!!!

Hello my fellow Verizon customers,
I need your help!!! My dad is getting a droid for his account and wanted to use the buy one get one free deal that Verizon has going on for the droids and give the other phone to me. I am on a separate account. Verizon wont let him get the free phone though because he doesn't have another eligible line on his account. Is there any way of getting around this?? If he goes into the store is there any way to get them to work with him on this? This was supposed to be a Christmas present.

So there is absolutely no way at all to get around this? What if he added a line for 9.99 with an old phone he has at home and then went in to buy the buy one get one free droid and added the free droid to the second line? would this work? Or are there any other ways to do this? He does not want to pay full price for the phone when they have a BOGO going on with Droids right now.

Cant burn a song playlist off itunes because of error 4450 please help!!!

Im trying to burn the new halifax cd onto a cd and it stops at no particular song and in different places and I have tried burning it anbout 4 times and it keeps getting cancedelled because error 4450 occurs What do i do!!!???

I had the same problem and I found that if you reduce
the burn speed to around 8 of less it fixed it. Do
this through edit>Preferences>advanced>burning
I set it to a speed of 8 but it still cancelled on the first song this time is there anything else i have to do to fix this?

Error 4450 when trying to burn a cd

Please help me to fix this issue. I have the latest version of iTunes, and my burner is working correctly, and I am using blank discs.
I purchased $20 of music and made a playlist to burn, it checks, initializes and begins burn, then alerts me that it is being cancelled and gives me this error "the attempt to burn a disc failed, unknown error 4450"
I have the preference set to audio cd, checked my burner and discs, it all works. I tried restarting computer. Logging off and back on to iTunes, updated iTunes, repaired iTunes, removed iTunes, installed older version 7.1 but then it couldn't read my library, so reinstalled 7.6 and still not able to burn
Please help?!

OK, I feel like an idiot.
I tried all the suggestions, from lowering burn speed, running diagnostics, etc etc.
After contacting Apple and complaining about the service and inability to burn a CD of music I purchased, I finally opened my drive, and looked at the lens, it had a thin residue all over the entire lens and disc holding area, I simply wiped it off gently with a soft cloth, and voila!
I can burn now!

Could you post your diagnostics for us please?
In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:

Scenario : I have a Process1 which tries to access Another Process Process2. Process1 has a PL for a Webservice (WS1) whose end point is Process2's endpoint.
For architectural reason's I need to keep both the processes independent and that's the only way I can call Process2 as I've no control of Process1 and can not modify it except changing the endPoint location for WS1.
First question will this work ? If no then is there another way of doing this ?
If yes then I'm seeing the error message posted below.

Another thing I want to mention is if I run my process2 independently it works fine. So my guess is that the way I'm calling Process2 from Process1 maynot be correct. I'm not even sure if this thing will actually work or not.
Process1 has a webservice that has http binding to call an outside servlet. I need to have another layer in between (Process2) that will call the Outside servlet. So it's Process1 calling Process2 and Process2 calling the outside servlet.
My hands are tied that I can't change the webservice in Process1 or modify Process1 directly (I don't own this and it's shipped as standard functionality) which calls the servlet and has http binding. How can I call Process2 from the same binding and what endpoint should I use for my process ?

I've had the problem since I've upgraded to Vista, I thought it was a driver problem until I had no problem burning a CD using Media Player. However I managed to find a solution (although not ideal).
If you run a CD diagnotic in iTunes, you'll find it thinks you are not an administrator for some reason. So I created a new administrator account, and then saved my iTunes library and logged in as the new administrator account. All of a sudden the problem disappeared!!!
So it looks like iTunes can't see that I'm an administrator. If someone can tell me how to fix this particular element, I'd love it. As right now, if I want to burn a CD, I have to change account, and re-import the entire library. Bottom line is it's a pain, but at least I know it's not a driver or hardware problem.

hmmm. a search at HP on ze5300 turns up a lot of different models:
Pavilion ze5300
... so i'm thinking ze5300 may be your series number rather than your model number.

I also got this 4450 error message when burning a CD in itunes. After searching the internet for answers, I found one that worked for me. The problem was that I tried to write 70 minutes of music to the CD. This is the rated capacity. However, the actual working capacity is closer to 65 minutes. The outer edge of the CD can be flakey and causes errors when writing there. After limiting my CD's to 65 minutes, the 4450 error disappeared.
