Error 483 Too many hops

Hi,
I am trying to establish a connection between 2 IP phones. Both these IP Phones and the OCMS set up is on the corporate intranet network. The OCMS server can ping the IP address of these IP phones.
However when I run my application to establish the connection, I get Error 483 - Too many hops.

    Hi Nimish Agarwal,
With reference to the error faced i.e. BFIBL02160 "too many payment
mediums created for this payment group", please review the information
provided in the long text of this error in detail.
Please ensure that the orders are not carried out several times.
Alternatively you can apply the optional usable message 166 (same
class: BFIBL02), so that you can prevent creating duplicates in future.
Please customize this message as an error so as to prevent the system
from creating duplicate files. You can customize this message in OBA5.
The message BFIBL02 160 always occurs, if you create more than one
file for the same payment run, in order to warn you not to send the
same file twice to the bank.
The SAPFPAYM program does not create 2 files at once. But if you
run this program more than once for the same payment run, more than
one file is created. From the second run on you receive the error
message BFIBL02 160. You can easily test it, by creating a new
payment proposal and creating a new file with this proposal and
SAPFPAYM. The first time you run this program you will not receive
    the message.
    Hope this clarifies.

  • Sending to local user gives too many hops

I have set up Mavericks server for mail. Works perfectly for incoming and outgoing mail to other domains but fails when trying to send mail to a local user. Here are my settings:
example.com is my primary domain, it provides DNS and Mail service
there are other domains being hosted (web) with example.com providing mail service for them.
Mail Server setting under "Provide Mails for...": Domain Name is example.com, Virtual domains: myotherdomain.com, example.com (included in list, is this correct?), and some more
DNS settings: each domain has a machine record for the domain name (e.g. example.com has an A record, myotherdomain.com has its own A record), each domain has an MX pointing to example.com. Domain example.com has an alias (CNAME) record mail.example.com pointing to example.com. This is the only place where the name mail.example.com appears in the whole server.
Last night I tried to reply to a mail I received from a user on myotherdomain.com. My receiving account is also on myotherdomain.com (myotherdomain.com is one of my domains with MX pointing to example.com). When I simply hit reply the mail server eventually reported back that the mail was not delivered due to too many hops.
Here are the headers from the mail I received. I simply hit reply and got the too many hops. WHY?

Invoke the following diagnostic by launching Terminal.app from Applications > Utilities and see if there are any network or DNS issues reported:
    sudo changeip -checkhostname
Also post the internal and external DNS translations of the following:
    dig +short miniserver.example.com
    dig +short mail.example.com
    dig +short MX myotherdomain.com
    dig +short MX example.com
    dig +short @8.8.8.8 miniserver.example.com
    dig +short @8.8.8.8 mail.example.com
    dig +short MX @8.8.8.8 myotherdomain.com
    dig +short MX @8.8.8.8 example.com
I'd look for a bogus or missing MX record for myotherdomain.com, to start with.
FWIW, myotherdomain.com is a real and registered domain.    Probably not yours, I'm guessing.  The example.net and example.org domains are also available for obfuscation, in addition to the example.com domain.

Can anybody has run into such problem and guide me to a solution, please?
    Thanks

    Hi,
yes, this DB was functioning o.k. this configuration script was part of RMAN daily backup.
Last night the backup failed. So, when I opened "Failed job" in the EM, I saw this type of messages.
That was the starting point. Gradually, I tried to narrow down on to the actual problem and found the findings as I have posted.
One way of sovling problem, I thought that, all these processes I would kill and then try to open the database, it might startup. However, that wouldnot lead me in ensuring this won't occur again.
That's why I am trying to understand why it should open, so many processes (why spawn so many .flb files?) Any thoughts you have around this?
I will try to restart the OS as the last resort.
Thanks for your help and suggestions.

    Hi GuYumming,
I have checked the Sharepoint site using Fiddler and my X-SharePointHealthScore stays consistently on 1, I have even refreshed the site and had the "(429) Too Many Requests" error happen right in front of me whilst Fiddler is running and when I look at the
200 response for the Sharepoint site it is still showing "X-SharePointHealthScore: 1".
I assume because of this I do not need to make any of the changes suggested in your article above?
I have also been through the ULS logs and found the following 3 log entries that appear to relate to the issue but they do not really mean much to me so I am hoping that you can help:

  • Too many hops

I have yet another problem. I have groupwise 7.0.4 running on windows 2003. everything is running great. But when i send mail, it sends me the mail back to me saying "too many hops". I think this means that its connected to the internet but it can't find a server? I don't know. Could someone help me on this? I had another problem earlier when i had a 550 relay denied but i managed to fix that. Now i have this problem. i can also receive mail just fine.

If you can get the headers for one of these messages, you can see where the loop is occurring.
If its a local loop, two orthogonal settings in the GWIA control this. You can specify a relay ( smart MTA ) host which will be responsible for sending the mail. In that case when you send mail to external @foo.com recipients, the GWIA sends it to the smart MTA you specify. It will resolve foo.com's MX record and deliver the mail. Sometimes this MTA is your spam filter if you scan outbound mail. You can also instruct the GWIA to send mail directly.
You can also specify an undeliverable mail host, a MTA of last resort, which handles mail delivered to the GWIA for other domains you may have. So suppory your GroupWise domain is glom.com but you have users on a different systems also known as glom.com. Mail for GW users is processed by the GWIA, any unknown recipients mail is forwarded to another MTA which, presumably knows the unknown user and will accept the mail.
So the loop will happen at these two touchpoints. You need to determine which hosts are involved in the loop, and why. Only tyhe headers will tell you this.
You could tell us more about your e-mail architecture....
    -- Bob
I can only tell you about the e-mail architecture at the moment because i'm away from the server. Anyways, i got eDirectory, IIS, a SMTP Relay server, groupwise and Groupwise agents such as, POA,MTA, and GWIA installed all on one server. GWIA Is pointed to this servers ip address to send mail through the SMTP relay. BTW, how do you check your logs for GWIA?

    Tue Feb 13 22:15:16 2001
    Errors in file /home/oracle/product/8.1.6/admin/v2qa1/bdump/lgwr_14175.trc:
ORA-00313: open failed for members of log group 2 of thread 1
    ORA-00312: online log 2 thread 1: '/db03/v2qa1/system/log/redo02.log'
    ORA-27041: unable to open file
Linux Error: 23: Too many open files in system
    Additional information: 2
LGWR: terminating instance due to error 313
Instance terminated by LGWR, pid = 14175
Is the number of open files adjustable?
    Why am I opening files?
Could the fact that our java stored procedures are trying, unsuccessfully, be leaving files open?
    Thanks - Craig
    null

increasing the oracle users ulimit to unlimited fixed that error for me. Type
    ulimit -a
and look at the open files parameter. See your linux doc's to increase it to unlimited (will probably be increased from 1024 to 4096).

  • Runtime Error - DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_RSQL - Too many OPEN CURSOR

When I try to train a Decision Tree Model via an APD process in RSANWB, I get a runtime error when my model is configured with too many parameter fields or too many leaves (with 2 leaves it works, with more it fails).
By searching SAP Notes I see that there are many references to this kind of runtime errors. But no note on occurences of it in RSANWB / RSDMWB .
    Any information on this anyone?

    Hi Claudio,
well the message is very clear and I think in your case you need to split your model into a few somehow equal models, each not having more than 2 leaves.
Another option might be to do more things serially instead of parallel.
    Hope it helps
    regards

  • How to overcome error 507 (too many events??)

By now have way over 20,000 events in Calendar and cannot update with iCloud anymore ("error 507" -- means too many, right?).
So I guess I have to delete some old ones, but cannot find the checkbox in Preferences-Advanced in Calendar anymore.
In i-Cloud web Preferences-Advanced there is a "Hide" old ones, but just hiding would not really solve the problem.
So what can one do with the new Calendar 6.0 to bulk-delete old entries?
    Thanks for any help provided.

  • SMTP Error 452 Too many recipients

We are using Exchange 2007 at a school to send email to parents.  When we send out email to all parents we get an error back from yahoo:  452 Too many recipients.
We have 34 recipients on the list.
Is there a way to configure Exchange SMTP outbound to break this up so it only sends to say 10 at a time?
    Thanks,
    Glenn

Here's more info on the problem after looking at the logs a bit more.
When we send to yahoo with 34 recipients, the first recipient is accepted and all the rest are rejected as 'too many recipients'.  Exchange then tries again with the remaining users and one more email is accepted.  In our case it does this three times and then hits a case where the first
yahoo email address is a bad address.  Yahoo comes back with an error for this address and 'too many recipients' for all the others.  It then gives up and does not try to send the remaining addresses.
Being able to control the max number of recipients per smtp session would be one fix to this problem as I could set it to something like 10 so that even if one recipient is rejected, the others would not also get rejected as having 'too many recipients'.
