Error 4SNS/1/0000000: Tm0P-64.000

I'm having trouble with my Macbook Pro ever since my daughter tried to update her Iphone 5 software through it.
Ran the Apple Hardware Extended Test and it came up with this error number:
4SNS/1/40000000:TmOP-64.000
Took 30 minutes to run this test, something to do with the hardware?  Laptop makes a ticking noise while running that goes for around 2-3 minutes then stops.
Quick to boot up, slow to load, and even slower to open programs and perform general functions like adjust brightness & turn sound down.......
Please help if u can as I don't trust google!

That indicates a temperature sensor has failed.  Bring the MBP to an Apple store genius bar and let them know the exact error code.
Ciao.

  • What does error code: 4SNS/1/40000000: tm0p -61.000 mean?

I just dropped my MacBook Pro "17 i5 500GB 4G RAM (2010 Model) about 3 feet from a chair on to the floor of my house (hard wood flooring), unfortunately.
Everything seems to work well but I went and did a hardware check, but Pressing "D" at startup, I got this error:
    4SNS/1/40000000: tm0p -61.000
    What does this mean?

Thanks, I will try to take it to the Apple Genius Bar this week.
And I have 3 more questions:
How much will this sensor cost? is it expensive?
Is it a serious issue? Because when I run the hardware test, it only gives me this error in the short test NOT extended test.

  • I am getting error 4SNS/1/40000000: TG0H-128.000 ? what does this mean.

    HI there,
I ran apple hardware test through snow leopard OS disk 2,  i got this error 4SNS/1/40000000: TG0H-128.000 , My fans are continously running at 5700 rpm even i am doing nothing. I have booked an appointment with genius bar on monday 6 may. are they expensive to repair or should i find a local apple technician ? is there any other method to fix it.

Your computer has to start from the Windows disc but it's not doing this. After creating the volume, make sure that the Windows disc is inserted, and turn on your Mac holding the Option (Alt) key, so you will see all bootable partitions. Choose the "Windows" option with a DVD, so the Windows installer will start and you must follow its steps.
If you need help installing Windows, follow the steps of this how-to > http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/boot_camp_install-setup_10.8.pdf

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
It looks like you ran Apple Hardware Test without plugging the MacBook to the charger. It's normal to see an error if you run Apple Hardware Test without your Mac plugged.
Plug the MacBook Pro to its charger and run Apple Hardware Test again

Could anyone tell me this kind of error what does it mean?

This error is showing a problem with the logic board controller sensor. The only thing you can do is to take your computer to an Apple Store or reseller to have the computer repaired. Read > http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-57352461-263/how-to-invoke-and-interpret-th e-apple-hardware-tests/

  • Noisy fans, AHT error 4SNS/1/40000001:tgod-1.000

Hello, i run an AHT cause my old imac 24' fans came suddenly noisy. (snow leopard)
(I previously tried reset PRAM..., shut down/wait/unplug..., check apps proc%) ...
AHT returns this error : 4SNS/1/40000001:tgod-1.000 What does that mean? What should i do ?
    Thanks for your help !

Means you have a defective sensor. I think it may be for the optical drive. That's what makes the fans run at top speed. Please make a Genius Appointment and take it in for service.

  • Error 4SNS/1/40000000/TH00-9.000 Impossible to install OSX

The Mac does not install both Lion and Snow Leopard.
The Apple Hardware Test gaves the error 4SNS/1/40000000/TH00-9.000
I tried to fix HD (but says it is ok), I reset the PRAM, VRAM, and the SMC but it did not works.
    Help me please,
    Luigi.

I really don't know.  Could be as simple as a cable.  iMac's hard drives do have a sensor cable attached to the drive from the logic board.  But there's really no way of telling.  I assume apple gives estimates for repairs.

  • Error 4SNS/1/40000000:TWOP-128.000

Helo. On my MacBook Air first generation with all update made, until few hours ago the wireless was fine. But during a connection I lost signal and the card was no more found. With the Apple Hardware Test (reboot with D) I found the error: 4SNS/1/40000000:TWOP-128.000 but I wasn't able to obtain more info.
Does anyone have more help for my problem?
    Many thanks to everybody.
    Regards.
    Luca

That error code indicates a problem with the main logic board. Try resetting the SMC:
    1. If the MacBook Air is on, turn it off.
    2. Connect the power adapter to a working power source.
    3. Press (left) Shift-Control-Option along with the power button once.
Note: Only use the keys on the left side of the keyboard.
    4. Wait 5 seconds and press the power button to start the MacBook Air.
If that doesn't cure the problem, you'll probably have to take/send your Air in for service.
    Hope this helps.

  • Bluetooth failure - hardware error 4SNS/1/40000001:TB1T-0.000

I was installing updates in my computer and suddenly the bluetooh icon started to fail, I noticed that a red led was on (in the mic input), but after restarting it was off, I tried the hardware test and I got the error 4SNS/1/40000001:TB1T-0.000, so I also tried:
    - Reseting PRAM & NVRAM
    - Reseting SMC
    - Deleting the com file of the bluetooth in the Library folder
But the hardware error is the same, I also noticed that when I test the stereo sound the left speaker volume is very low.
My computer is still with guaranty so I'll request the replace of the bluetooth chip and speakers.
Don't waste your time if you did the hardware test and you receive this error message, none of the soft advices you'll find in this forum will work, just replace.
What I'd like to know if it is better to send the computer or the replace the chip by myself, I saw some youtube videos and it looks very easy, and honestly I don't like how the technical service treats the computers.
Thanks in advance for the advice,

Dear all, after some reboots, and honestly I don´t know which of the previous soft advices was, but my bluetooth is now working.
Just as a extra comment, the mighty mouse bluetooth is the best i ever had, works for Windows Vista better than in OS X. This genius idea of having the right and left button options in one button is very awesome.

  • Apple hardware test error 4SNS/1/40000000: TB1T-128.000

    I have just bought a used Macbook unibody 2.4, 6GB DDR3, 500GB 7200
And did a apple hardware test which showed the error "4SNS/1/40000000: TB1T-128.000"
What might it mean and how serious it might be?
I tried to google it and found out but not successfully.
    Could anyone help with it?
    Thank you.

It's a sensor error. We have no access to the "translation" of hardware test diagnostic messages. You'll need to take the computer to an Apple service center.

  • Error: 4SNS/1/40000000:TGOD-86.000

I am a full time grad student and desperately need my computer to function properly.
I have a macbook pro that I purchased last year. Its had problems from about 4 months after the purchase until I took it in to be repaired in January 09. An Apple Tech replaced my entire HD (he said some blocks were failing in my HD).
Since then my 1 year "Apple Care" has run out and now my computer does not sleep properly (freezes, does not awake...etc) and it shows the following error when I run a test (no peripherals attached):
    4SNS/1/40000000:TGOD-86.000
Some online forums said this has to do with failing temperature sensors and that
a "fix" might entail replacing the motherboard or the HD...what do you think?
    WHAT DO YOU THINK?
    Thank you very much!
    Regards,
    Juan

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Your repair should come with its own warranty--90 days I think. If you are still in the 90 day period, then both the sensor and the new hard drive should be covered. Very likely the plug to the sensor got dislodged during the repair.
If your warranty repair did not fix existing issues, then Apple has a policy of honoring the warranty until these issues are fixed. If they started with the hard drive replacement, then they should be covered by the 90 day warranty.
You could try resetting the SMC to see if this will help with the sleep issue:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1411?viewlocale=en_US
    Also try a PRAM reset:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379?viewlocale=en_US
I have read many recommendations to wait until the chime has sounded for a third time.
Freezing could also be due to software corruption. Make a good backup of your data, and try an Archive and Install to reinstall the OS.
Also, check the free space on your hard drive to be sure you have 15%-20% free.
There are a lot of steps that can be taken to determine what is going on, but the first one should be to go back to where you had the work done before your 90 day warranty is up.
    Good luck!

  • MBP 13" - 7,1 error: 4sns/1/40000000:tn1d-104.000

My computer fan runs constantly even when just using Firefox and the macbook also runs very hot. I've done a lot of audio recording in the past and the noise is always a problem. Also, last week I installed a couple programs to livestream video and hope I didn't fry something because my CPU was running over 100%.
The worst thing is that yesterday while I was watching a youtube video I began to see a bunch of horizontal white lines going back and forth across the entire screen. It didn't come back after a hard reboot but...
This morning I ran the hardware diagnostic test and it returned the following error message:
    4sns/1/40000000:tn1d-104.000
Does anyone know what might be causing this?
      Model Name:
    MacBook Pro
      Model Identifier:
    MacBookPro7,1
      Processor Name:
    Intel Core 2 Duo
      Processor Speed:
    2.4 GHz
      Number Of Processors:
    1
      Total Number Of Cores:
    2
      L2 Cache:
    3 MB
      Memory:
    8 GB
      Bus Speed:
    1.07 GHz
      Boot ROM Version:
    MBP71.0039.B0B
      SMC Version (system):
    1.62f7

The fan in the MBP will run high as a default if the sensor has failed (6200 rpm).  Did you tell the technician about the AHT error message?  Did he take any corrective action or tell you specifically what options there were to rectify the situation?
Based on your reply, I am concerned that you may have gotten a short shrift.
    Ciao.

  • AHT Error 4SNS/1/40000000:Te2S-128.000

    Hi,
I just ran the Apple Hardware Test on my Mac Pro (desktop) 4,1 with OS Snow Leopard.. and I had an error code which I can't find anywhere online on what error is it referring to. Do anyone know what is this error? How do I fix it?
    AHT Error code 4SNS/1/40000000:Te2S-128.000
What does it mean? And how can I fix the error?

Only Apple really knows. Sensor for some type.
What are you using to monitor thermal sensors and the rest of the system?
    Download Temperature Montor
Schedule or take it in for a free checkup.
You can google to find the Apple Service Diagnostic CD.
Your Mac is 4 yrs old so likely out of AppleCare?
I could only find notebooks and they wree not that particular sensor code.

  • Apple Hardware Test error 4SNS/1/40000001:ID0R-0.000 on Retina MBP

Getting the above error on my 3-day old retina MBP with 16gb RAM and 768GB flash storage.  I had loaded Chrome, Firefox, VMWare Fusion, Office 2011, and all the Apple updates as of 7/3/12.
My issue may be related to similar issues I've seen on these boards, relating to sleep or wakeup causing the intermittent crash.  Machine has also crashed (kernel panic) 2 times.  Genius Bar employee downplayed the AHT altogether, saying it's a false positive since his more advanced tool reported no errors.  They then kept it for a day, to run a "loop test," which also came back with no errors.  Then, because apparently it is easier to re-load the OS rather than actually diagnose the issue, they re-loaded my OS clean. (Yay, now I can re-load all my apps, copy 200GB data back on, and THEN we'll see that it is a hardware problem.)
Tomorrow I'll pick it up from Apple and run the AHT again.  If it errors out again, I'm not sure what to do...

One note I had neglected to mention is that the bar/band immediately above the keyboard gets very, very hot.  Yes, I know that is where the fans are.  However, all 12 of the MBP's at the Apple store did not have this extra-hot band, and those are on all day.  My little Safari & Mail apps should not cause an overheat situation, on a functioning machine.  Apple blamed Google Chrome for the crashes, downplayed the overheating, and downplayed the AHT results.
Update: I went to the Apple store today and took a look at the notebook.  They ran their tests, had re-loaded the OS, and performed an undisclosed hardware repair. (They were helpful but vague as to what the actually did on the machine, hardware-wise.)  They said their advanced tools & extended Loop Test did not indicate any errors or problems.  While still at the store, I ran another quick test with the Apple Hardware Test, which came back with the same 4SNS error as mentioned above.  I asked for a refund, which they approved (except they said I have to come back Monday since I bought the machine from Apple Business.)
When I got home, I ran an extended test with the Apple Hardware Test and got a *diffferent* error this time: 4HDD/11/40000000:SATA(0,0).
It's seems strange to me that the AHT shows 2 different errors, and yet the Genius' "advanced " tools find no errors.  Thankfully, I will return this one (eventually) get a new unit.  Thanks to everyone for helping.  --Peter

  • Error 4sns/1/40000000: TNID 119.000?

I recently ran a diagnostics check after my macbook was recieving some problems. I got this error. After a quick google search, I couldn't figure out what it was. Could someone explain what this error means?
Some problems with my computer include:
    •Extreme lag
    •Overheating
•Excessive Fan usage (6200 rpm from the moment I turn the laptop on)
    •Internet randomly turning off
      Model Name:    MacBook
      Model Identifier:    MacBook7,1
Processor Name:    Intel Core 2 Duo
      Processor Speed:    2.4 GHz
      Number Of Processors:    1
      Total Number Of Cores:    2
      L2 Cache:    3 MB
      Memory:    4 GB
      Bus Speed:    1.07 GHz
    I have already:
    •Resert PRAM
    •Reset SMC
•Ran disk repair and permission check

That error code indicates a problem with the main logic board. Try resetting the SMC:
    1. If the MacBook Air is on, turn it off.
    2. Connect the power adapter to a working power source.
    3. Press (left) Shift-Control-Option along with the power button once.
Note: Only use the keys on the left side of the keyboard.
    4. Wait 5 seconds and press the power button to start the MacBook Air.
If that doesn't cure the problem, you'll probably have to take/send your Air in for service.
    Hope this helps.
