not InDesign. This message comes up:
Please uninstall and reinstall the product.

I have tried everything that I have found for suggestions on the internet to no avail!
Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi Swapnil,

Subject: InDesign CS5: Configuration Error (Error 5)
Hi,
Can you please provide information about system configuration.
If you don't have any other version of Adobe on your system then you can run CS3 Clean Script on level 4 on your machine. This will actually remove all Adobe componentes from your machine and then try the installation..
Cheers,
Swapnil

  • What does 'Appliance Error (configuration error) Your request could not be processed because of a configuration error: account is disabled' mean?

All of a sudden Safari on my MacBook Air won't let me do anything. I have a Mac OS X Version 10.7.5.
As soon as I open Safari, a message comes up straight away saying 'Appliance Error (configuration error) Your request could not be processed because of a configuration error: account is disabled'.
I also can't check for system updates because of a 'network error' and can't connect to the App Store.
My internet is working fine and safari is working fine on both my iPhone and iPad.
I've never seen this message before and I'm not having much luck in searching for an answer.
This may be a silly question, I don't know, but does anyone have a solution?

    Back up all data.
    From the menu bar, select
     ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Network
If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. If any proxy options are selected, make a note of them and then deselect them. You don’t need to change the bypass or FTP settings. Click OK and then Apply. Test. The result may be that you can't connect to any web server. Restore the previous settings if that happens.

  • InDesign CS5: Configuration Error (Error 5)

I've installed CS5 Premium. When I try to start InDesign CS5, I get this error: "Configuration error. Please uninstall and reinstall the product. If this problem still occurs, please contact Adobe technical support for help, and mention the error code shown at the bottom of the screen. Error: 5. http://www.adobe.com/support/". It looks like this:
I've uninstalled and reinstalled. It did not help; I got this same error again. I went to the Adobe support page and found nothing useful. I see it says "contact Adobe technical support," but I am trying my best to sort this out on my own before getting in the support queue.
Has anyone else had this trouble?
Perhaps related, perhaps not, when I try to start Photoshop CS5, it brings me to the 30-day trial activation screen. This, despite the fact that I entered my serial number for the suite when installing it. If I put the serial number into the activation screen, it rejects it as invalid for the product (from what I read, it should be accepted ... a document here on Adobe's website said any application in the suite should accept the suite serial number). I know the serial number is good, because it works on my other machine (it installed fine and works on my desktop, and this is the laptop I am trying to get to work). InDesign, Photoshop, and Bridge are the only products in the suite installed on this machine. Bridge works fine.
Any help would be most appreciated!

  • Photoshop CS6 on Windows 8 gives Configuration Error 16 when launched

I am completely at a loss as to correcting this issue. I installed Windows 8 a few weeks ago and everything went smooth. Ive been using Photoshop CS6 (as part of Creative Suite CS6) with little to no problems until a few days ago when I started
    recieving the following error:
    Configuration Error
Please Uninstall and reinstall the product.
If this problem still occurs, please contact Adobe technical support for help, and mention the error code shown at the bottom of this screen.
    Error: 16
    http://www.adobe.com/support/
I unintall/reinstalled the software and it started working again until this morning when it started doing the same thing.
Please, anyone have a solution for this? Im in the middle of my final project for my photography/photoshop class and cannot seem to get this working correctly.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Dear Jeff - Thanks for that - I had seen those notes on the adobe help site, but, the instructions given don't seem to apply exactly to Windows 8.1 as when I looked them up, I couldn't find the network path specified in the help document you reference:
    Windows 32 bit (XP, Vista, 7): \Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\
    Windows 64 bit (XP, Vista, 7): \Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\
because on my windows 8.1 machine, in the  "Adobe" folder there was no "installer" folder.
Since I wasn't sure how to find the error log, My first "Troubleshooting" move was to de-install the program  (Adobe Design Standard CS6) and then re-download the file from the adobe site here:  http://www.adobe.com/downloads/other-downloads.html
However, at the moment, the problem seems to be ok, so I guess that perhaps that fixed the problem? Fingers crossed!
For future reference (or in case someone else is looking at this posting with a similar issue?) do you know how to find the error log on an installation on Windows 8.1? Thanks!

  • Configuration Error: No CM system assigned to this task.

    Hi,
I get the error "Configuration Error: No CM system assigned to this task." when I try to run a crawler for a newly created index.
This TREX instance is shared by other portal environments too but the other portal environments behave fine.
    Any ideas?

    Following is the fix:
CM Systems had to be added to the Scheduler tasks.

  • I'm receiving configuration error 16

I just installed Acrobat and i'm getting this error:
"Configuration error 16 when you start a Creative Cloud (CC) or Creative Suite (CS) application
Asked to uninstall and reinstall your product in a configuration error ("Error 16") when you try to start a CC or CS application?"
I have followed the steps in the fix listed on the website ( Configuration error 16 | CC, CS ), but it does not work. I continue to get the same error. Can anyone help?

    Hi,
Please make sure that you are logged in as administrator and also tell me whether you are on Windows or MAC.
Also, as per the KB doc link, were you able to set permissions for the folders as mentioned.
You might need to run cleaner tool and reinstall but first specify your OS details.
    Hope to hear from you.

  • Makepkg creates a configure error?

confusing subject for a confusing issue, sorry!
i'm maintaining the pd-extended-svn PKGBUILD found here:
    http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=22509
some background: this is quite a large package with many plugin style libraries included, the build system uses a recursive make which uses a combination of static makefiles and autotools builders in each library folder.
the issue that i and others have experienced is noted in the top comment of AUR record, where running the ./configure command in a few libs (OSCx in this case) fails (conftest segfaults), and prints the error:
configure: error: cannot run C compiled programs.
If you meant to cross compile, use `--host'
this only occurs inside of makepkg, running ./configure manually succeeds, and the same pd-extended buildsystem runs fine on our debian based autobuild system.
    logs follow :
    the failed config.log:
    http://simplesuperlativ.es/config.log
a successful config.log (run manually from the build folder):
    http://simplesuperlativ.es/config-works.log
    the full build log:
    http://simplesuperlativ.es/pd-extended- … -build.log
    any information would be helpful..
    cheers,
    dmotd

I'm still stuck with this one, its seems like the makepkg environment is inheriting the CFLAGS, LDFLAGS and INCLUDES from elsewhere in the build, and its contaminating the conftest in the configure.. running the same build command from outside makepkg suceeds.. here are some edited notes from comparing the two config.logs:

i don't really know where to go from here.. the package wont build within makepkg, but builds fine manually.. the pure-data build system in rather convoluted, so its hard to get a grasp at whether its to blame, but the same buildsystem is used to build for numerous other evironments (and is scheduled to do so nightly), and has worked fine previously with arch.

  • Configure: error: C preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails

    I'm getting an error:
configure: error: C preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check
For several things, mainly svn of gaim, gaim-encryption, but I haven't tried others.  Any clue what this has to do with?

i tried to install sabbu and subtitleeditor with abs/aur, and both stopped at configure.
checking how to run the C++ preprocessor... /lib/cpp
configure: error: C++ preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check
tried to reinstall kernel-headers-2.6.18-3 and gcc-4.1.1-3 ...no luck.
(tried to remove them from cache then reinstall...still got the error msg)

I have made the required changes on the SQL Server - MSTDC, Named Pipes Enabled.
BizTalk Server 1 and BizTalk Server 2 both have required MSDTC settings. Along with this Firewall settings are also modified.
    I have followed this link - http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/1888.install-and-configure-bam-business-activity-monitoring-in-a-multi-computer-environment.aspx
which is for BizTalk Server 2010 (provided for BizTalk Server 2013 ?).
Kindly, let me knoe if anyone had similar issue and it has been resolved , or any other pointers
    With Regards,
    Gopal Talreja

I faced similar problem while installing BAMAlerts on 2nd BizTalk 2013 R2 server in a group. The reason for this error is the Wizard is unable to create the windows service (BAMAlerts) during the configuration. To fix the issue you need to create the service
manually. I had to perform following actions:
    1.CREATE SERVICE:
Start command prompt as administrator on the node with problems. Execute (do not use copy paste from email, it often gives error):
sc create BAMAlerts binPath=  "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft BizTalk Server 2013\Tracking\BAMAlerts.exe”
    2. SET USERNAME and PASSWORD on this Service:
Open services admin console, and change the user and password for the BAMAlerts Service.
    - Start the service.
Start again the configuration for the BAM on the node with problems and complete the BAMTools and BAMAlerts configration (do not enter any username and password in the BAMAlerts configuration wizard).
    3. RUN SQL Statement:
After starting the Service, BAMAlerts service may stop with following error in the event log:
Microsoft.BizTalk.Bam.Management.BamManagerException: Encountered error while executing command on SQL Server "A-CLS01VISQL1". --->
System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object 'bam_Metadata_GetProperty', database 'BAMPrimaryImport', schema 'dbo'.
To solve this, run following SQL statement
    USE BAMPrimaryImport
    GRANT
    EXECUTE
    ON
    bam_Metadata_GetProperty
        TO
    BAM_ManagementNSReader;
    GO
    This should solve the problem.
Thanks to Microsoft support engineer for help.
Strange bug and I hope MS will solve this issue in next patch/CU/update

  • Fresh install of InDesign but configuration error on opening

I just installed InDesign CS5 from the install disk on to a new Macbook Air recently purchased. Install went OK, but on trying to open the app, I get an error message:
    Configuration Error
A problem has occurred with the licensing of this product.
    Error 213:5
Anyone know what this means? Or how to fix it?
    Thanks,

CS5 runs fine on Maverick on my Macbook Pro. Have not run into any limitations. However, got advice to update permissions in the Application Support folder and that resolved it. Now opening.

  • Configuration Error 15: CS5 Photoshop for Mac OSX

I have been running Photoshop on my computer for quite a while. This morning, when I tried to open the program, I received a Configuration Error: 15 and was told to uninstall and reinstall the program. I did this (twice), and still receive the same error.
I searched all throughout the forums, and the only answer I could find was in regards to error 16 (seems like a similar problem), and followed this link: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/configuration-error-cs5.html
Unfortunately, my computer does not appear to have the SLS Store or Adobe PCD folders in the Library/Application Support/Adobe folder, so I cannot try this solution to see if it works for me.
I have successfully opened InDesign, Illustrator and Dreamweaver today. Only Photoshop is not working.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

None of my FULL PRICE CS6 Creative suite works, or Adobe Acrobat xi PRO.
    all error 16
followed instructions on link. Does absolutly nothing. Wated 4k over 2 years on Adobe. I removed and un-installed all products, per Adobe instructions, re-installed. same problem. re-installed Maverics. same problem.
Contacted Apple was told it was a liceincing issue with adobe server and to contact Adobe for patch. Adobe charges for tech support when you buy their products.  Nothing like buying a new car, then having to rent the Keys!
Adobe feel free to adress your cutomer base at anytime as we are all having problems.
If anyone finds answer or can understand the person on the tech support please post answer.
