Error -50 : unknown error - cannot save library

Hello everybody,
I recently changed from windows 7 pc to windows 8 pc and I have installed the most recent version of iTunes (11.0.4.4). However, when ever I start up iTunes I get an error message that iTunes can't save library; unknow error -50. I googled on the internet for solutions. The most solutions were from years ago and not specific for windows 7. So until know nothing solved my problem. I cant imagine that I am the only one having this problem. Therefore I kinda was hoping that one of you fellow iTunes enthousiatic users has or had the same problem and can help me solving it.
Before you all redirect me to another similar threat on this forum; I have seen it and I have readt it. And I tried the suggestions. And they didn't work. And I noticed that all the answers and suggestion were for Mac OS users. I use Windows 8 ! So I was hoping that someone could suggest solutions for Windows 8 users.

I have had my iPod for 4+ years but after upgrading software about a year ago, I repeatedly get the error "Cannot save Library. You do not have enough access privileges." WHen are you seeing this error, when you try to close itunes?
Can you rename that file? Because if you can't, the operating system is confused and thinks something has a lock on it. Restarting your PC should clear that situation.

Error message (-48) cannot save library

I have the library saved on a network drive and it was working fine until I just started getting the error message "cannot save library error (-48). But the library is still there and it appears that new songs/pods are being saved. Any idea what this error message is? Thanks

Keep getting Cannot save library file error -50 message on my PC

Same issue here. Running Windows Vista Home Premium Edition and newest version of iTunes. Normally happens when I am ripping a CD into iTunes and by chance multi task or the screen saver kicks in.
What ***** is if you walk away while ripping a CD(because it takes 3 times as long in iTunes vs any other ripper), and it will halt your ripping until you click "ok". I have not tried the "dont tell me again" check box just in case it is a problem I need to know about. This happened about 2 or 3 days after upgrading to Vista and I got an empty library the next time I opened the library. Somehow it got corrupted. Luckily I back up the xml file and just restored that one file from last back up.
(off subject but also getting the maxed our processor still in the newest version for Windows Vista. Wish they would fix that!)

I get below exception when I try to run XletviewJMFExample.java program provided by sun.

I tried to set jmam.dll in the classpath,but I get following error when I compile program from command prompt

Hello,
i am running TestTVXlet on the Fedora Core 3.
I do set the path variable, but it still shows the "JMFSecurity Error: Cannot Load Library jmam" message.
Is the problem that jmam.dll is not suitable for linux?
Any advise will be appreciated. : )

10g Forms Builder with error "cannot attach library" opening R12 fmb file

Hi all,
I had set up my Forms Builder with all the necessary PLL and FMB files for developing R12 custom forms. I have used the builder to do few custom PLLs and one custom form, and I did not have any problem opening seeded Oracle Forms. Today when I need to enhance that custom form I did 2 weeks ago and I opened Forms Builder, I got the error "Cannot attach library.." for APPCORE, APPDAYPK, etc.. Same error for opening TEMPLATE.fmb.
I have done these to troubleshoot:
1) I verified my Windows XP registry "FORMS_PATH" to include the folder where I store all the PLLs and FMBs.
2) I updated default.env to include that file path.
3) I create shortcut to Forms Builder and put folder path with PLLs under the "Start in" field of the shortcut.
4) I rebooted my machine after changing the registry
5) I moved the folder with PLLs to under C:; I seperate PLL to "resource" sub-folder and FMB to forms/US/ sub-folder just like the server structure.
6) I install one more copy of Developer 10G Suite and set up the registry.
None of these work and the key is it used to work with no issue. Any suggestions what may be the problems?

Turned out I reloaded all the $AU_TOP forms and PLLs to my desktop and it worked fine. I think I did not FTP correctly the first time.

ITunes Error (-50) (cannot save library)

I just updated to the newest version of iTunes (7.2.0.35) using the apple downloader/installer and I lost my library and all my playlists. I now get an error "The iTunes Library file cannot be saved. An unknown error occurred (-50)." Any fixes? I reinstalled iTunes manually and it didn't solve the issue.

Give us a bit more details. When is this happening? What were you trying to do. Be as detailed as humanly possible. Maybe even take a screenshot.

Diagnosis
Cannot save DataSource 3.x (R3TR ISFS) on the database, since a DataSource (R3TR RSDS) already exists with the same name.
Procedure
If you want to recreate the DataSource, choose a different name.

I tried restoring the DataSource from my ECC system and the error I received was:
Creation of DataSources for SAP source system
(SourceSystem) is not permitted.
I clicked on the ? mark and recieved this following information

How to resolve this error - "Cannot save the illustration The requested transformation would make.."

Hello Adobe Community,
I am trying to organize some album artwork within a pre-designed template and I keep getting this error when trying to save the file in the eps file format:
Cannot save the illustration The requested transformation would make some objects fall completely off the drawing area.
All the art is within the bleed lines. The only transformation I did was rotating one of the pieces 180 degrees. I'm not exactly sure what it is referring to when illustrator says objects are going to completely fall off the drawing area.

Did you use Guides at all? From the View menu, choose Guides>Clear Guides. Then zoom way out and do a Select All and see if there any stray points near the borders of the artboard. Direct select them and delete. Then try your transformation.

Getting the Error: Cannot Save Form Information

Dear Experts,
When iam adding some text to the textfield, i got a window saying as below.
"Cannot Save Form information"
Please Note : You cannot save a completed copy of this form on your computer.
If you would like a copy for your records , Please fill it in and print it
After clicking on Close , i cant Add/Save form information . The session continueos to Run. Manually iam closing the form.
Please suggest.

The form is Online form only. THe error occuring in the following scenario.
Process & forms:
1. The form will be initiated by HR and fill the information and send for the confirmation to some CDT user.
Heere HR can able to Fill all the data/comments. Workflow will trigger and form will be available in the worklist of the CDT user.
2. CDT opens the form from the Worklist and can enter some comments in the Form and sends the form which will update the info in the backend.
first scenario is Working fine. In case of second scenario iam not able to add comments but getting error window as mentioned earlier.
Please suggest Where could i check this Adobe Credentials are installed on server ?

ITunes cannot save library

Ive just moved my itunes library to another disk and it all seems to be working fine..... but for some reason I keep getting 'cannot save itunes library error'
I moved the library from <user>/music/itunes to /media/itunes (media is the new disk), and i did this by change the library address to the new location in the preferences and then consolidating the library.... before the actual music was organised in <user>/music/itunes/itunes music and after consolidating it put the music in /media/itunes, so im guessing that itunes is unable to write the database files into the correct location.....
How can i get the database files to write without risking losing my library?

Hi, I have read and write permissions on the newly installed disk and read and write permissions in the folder the music is in....
The verify and repair permissions buttons are greyed out in disk utility..... could this be to do with the formatting? its formatted as mac os extended (journaled).

ITunes "cannot save library file" error in Vista

I just began ripping my latest pile of cd's into iTunes on my new Vista Media Center PC. Occasionally I get the popup "The iTunes library file cannot be saved. You do not have enough access privileges for thei operation" I checked and double checked the security on all of the iTunes files and folders, and not only do I (the system administrator), but also SYSTEM and Everyone have full access to the folder and files. My library is in C:\Users\Jerry\Music\iTunes\ , which is the default installation directory selected by iTunes. I have almost 11,000 songs, and I have already completely rebuilt the library in this version of iTunes as a means to try to resolve this problem. I am on iTunes 7.2.0.16 , everything on the PC is up to date, and I see nothing that makes this error seem correct. Has anyone else seen this, and do you have a fix? File Error: Unknown File, Cannot Save

I hope this is only a matter of healthy file management, but I'm quite confused and hope someone can clear this up into something of a simple science. On the otherhand, could this be a LIMITATION of FCP?
-Have been editing a sequence from a larger film on a second computer. That sequence has been worked on over several days and saved (of course). However, upon saving last night, was an error message: "File error: Unknown File" and the project could not be saved.
-This is quite possibly due to the fact that both the media and project files have been copied over the network to the first computer where the master project is being assembled.
-HOWEVER, no media files claimed to be offline, everything was editable AND the FILE WOULD NOT SAVE through multiple attempts
-ALSO, the other open project WOULD NOT SAVE either (its files where never moved or otherwise tampered with. It was a small and entirely local operation).
-SAVING was finally accomplished ONLY by saving the project file to the LOCAL HD rather than the EXTERNAL DRIVE where the MEDIA and PROJECT FILES originated and had been previously saved to.
-All other attempts to save to the EXTERNAL were met with the message "FILE ERROR: UNKNOWN FILE" This compromised saving process resulted in the loss of all work, edits, etc. on the LESSER and EXCLUSIVELY local project.
-AFTER saving to the LOCAL HD, the project COULD BE once again saved to the EXTERNAL HD. This flow seemed very strange to me.
-Has anyone else encountered this problem, and what can I correct in my processes to avoid this.
--*Also, the First computer encountered the same problems at the same time, after both EDITING & SAVING had taken place since the last FILE COPYING. Again, work was lost.
