Error 500.00 just with Azure, locally working well

Hi, how are you?
I'm testing the deploy via Visual Studio 2003, but when I deploy I got the error 500.00. If I run via Visual Studio (Locally) works fine but using Windows Azure I get this error

The Windows 7 drivers worked perfectly for me on my Early-2011 Core i5 MBP.
It's not officially supported by Apple yet as it's pre-release software, but you can install it without any problems.

Undocumented error when trying to copy azure database (worked fine until recently)

Until recently executing
create database CB_Karakter_ACC as copy of jzv6wwe8gl.CB_Karakter_PRD
on azure instance bycz1k0pmu worked fine. Today, I'm suddenly getting
Msg 40197, Level 20, State 1, Line 65536
The service has encountered an error processing your request. Please try again. Error code 40184.
I cannot find any info relating to error code 40184 anywhere on the internet. What does this message imply?
FYI: Just did a backup of the PRD db with redgate cloud services (to azure blob) and tried to restore it on the test instance. I got msg:
Microsoft Restore Service returned an error: Error encountered during the service operation. Could not import package. Error SQL72014: .Net SqlClient Data Provider: Msg 15247, Level 16, State 100, Procedure sp_create_login, Line 1 User does not have permission

So probably the 40184 has something to do with security. Would be helpful to add this msg to e.g. http:// msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windowsazure/ff394106.aspx (put space behind first / since this txt box doesn't allow me to put in links since
my account is not verified or something...). If it's indeed about permissions that is.
Ok after executing
exec sp_addrolemember 'loginmanager','CB_SysAdmin_PRD'
the CREATE DATABASE...AS COPY OF stmt still resulted in the same error. Will now try redgate again...
Restore with redgate was succesful now. Question remains why CREATE DATABASE doesn't work anymore.

Based on your description, you copy a database between two different SQL Database servers. When ACC database is copied form PRD database, the login that copied the database becomes the DBO of ACC. All database users and their permissions (but not their SIDs)
from PRD are copied to ACC. Because of the new SID, the login from the PRC sever may not work on the new database.
To workaround this issue, please try to use the DBO login and the ALTER USER statement to map users in the new database to logins on the new SQL Database server.
For example: ALTER USER 'CB_SysAdmin_PRD' WITH LOGIN='loginName'

I've update iOS devices to 8.0 and now need to update xCode, but keep getting "unknown error -50" leaving me with a non-working internet connection - the only fix seems to be reboot of both iMac and router - any ideas?

Having updated all my iOS devices to iOS 8.0 I now need to update xCode to match. I've tried several times, and on each occasion have received an "unknown error -50" message after getting about 500Mb. After this my internet connection appears to be fully occupied, and the only fix appears to be a reboot of both the iMac (2.5GHx Core i5, 4Gb RAMm OS X 10.9.5) and the router (Netgear DG834 v5, firmware 1.6.01.34) At first I thought that the error had not stopped the download, but after waiting for 30 minutes the connection was still unresponsive, though traffic was indicated as passing through but the router status page, and no additional content had been added to the download. Anyone else having a similar problem and different ideas as to fixing it?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Help me with FCP motion working well

I have the following computer: Power Mac G5, model identifier PowerMac7,3, processor speed 2.5 ghz, dual, L2 cache 512 kb per cpu, 3 GB DDR memory, I have the ATI Radeon 9800Xt graphics card w/ 256mb vram.
Working with motion has been extremely painful. I bought this computer used and am new to MAC and FCP. I was wondering if I upgraded to more memory would it help the motion process? Using some of the templates is where I am having a really big problem. Also is there another suggestion on the video card or do I have the best the machine can take? I am looking at wanting to invest no more than $200 if I can help it.

Did you load the OS & software yourself or did it already have? Got the disc? It seems your machine the non quad core 2.5ghz, dual proc G5, correct?
Try a fresh install if you haven't already.
you can also try some RAM, it has to be installed in matching pairs, fyi.
Another thing to check into is Xgrid if you have a network of macs available to you, but I think you need a server machine running OS X Server to make it work.
For AGP cards, you can get a (flashed PC card) ATI X800 XT or a NIVIDIA (flashed PC card) 7800 series card from "applemacanix" on ebay. they are a good seller, had good service from them.
But I would post on the motion forum which one would be best, as I'm not sure.
This machine has seen a lot in it's day already. It may not just be able to push the new motion.
I'd hate to see this as your first experience with a Mac, but I think the newer FC Studio pushes these machines pretty hard.

Will two set of earbuds on one 3G with a splitter work well?

I was thinking of getting one of those Monster earbud splitters so my wife and I can listen to the same iPhone 3G if we should want to watch a movie ....
Has anyone tried doing this... and can you get enough volume to both sets of earbuds?

It does work in my tests, but it will probably draw down the battery a bit more since they run in parallel, (half the resistance = twice the amps).
It was loud enough for us. YMMV.

App is crashing on iOS6 with presentViewController, iOS5 works well

Does 10.7.5 work well with aperture?

Does aperture work well with a Mac mini, Lion 10.7.5? was there an initial problem that has been solved? I was about to down load it when I read of some real problems. I have never used aperture. But it seemed like a good application to use with iphoto.

Aperture works well with Lion 10.7.5. and it will offer you many advanced features compared to iPhoto.
If you read about problems, they are usually caused by problems on the particular systems running the applications.
I'd check the hardware requirements. How much RAM does your Mac MIni have? Aperture is more efficient with plenty of memory. You should have at least 4GB of memory, more would be better.
Have you looked at the Tutorials at the Aperture Support page? Look at the information there to see, if you would like to work with Aperture, maybe try it out at your local Apple Store?

I am having issues with apps not working well (disconnecting) when using my Ipad 1 - anything I can do?

Open the multitasking window by double-tapping the Home button. Close all the apps that are open. You can then try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

Server login works just with Open Dir user not local user ?

Hi,
New to MAC server and trying to learn.
I configured the server with a local account and then took into use the OpenDir
service and made some new users.
Now I can login an the server just using my OpenDir username NOT my local serveradmin username
that was used when setting up the server.
This is a login on the actual server itself - not remotely.
Have I configured something wrongly or should this behave like this?

No names are identical.
Tried to look in the place where the login cridentials are
configured (login options) and there was a searchpath "local" and "LDAP"
so it seems to me that it's allright.
Hope someone sees something obvious that I'm missing.
I can login using one of the OD users and then authenticate when changing something
on the server using the serveradmin username.

I can't be sure but most of the dota2 output looks "normal" to me (I get the same yet it works fine).
eurotrucks is clearly crashing. You could try to force the resolution it uses in its config files?
Or maybe it's missing a lib (you may need to install 32bit versions):
ldd /path/to/eurotrucks
to see if that's the case. If not, you might have to take it up with the eurotrucks developers.
And you could try using fluxbox/openbox just to see what happens. A lot lighter than KDE.

HTTP Error 500.0 with CF 9 & IIS 7.5 32 bit enabled web app

I have recently installed CF 9 64 bit on Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition R2 with IIS 7.5. I have just set the 'Enable 32 bit applications' option on the application pool settings to 'true' for one of the sites as I have some web pages that make use of a 32 bit COM DLL. I originally had this option set to 'false' and all of the web pages in my site were being served fine with the exception of the ones making use of the 32 bit COM DLL.
The details on the error message from IIS are as follows:
HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error
Detailed Error Information:
Module: IsapiModule
Notification: ExecuteRequestHandler
Handler: AboMapperCustom-75500
Error Code: 0x800700c1
Most Likely causes:
IIS received the request; however, an internal error occurred during the processing of the request. The root cause of this error depends on which module handles the request and what was happening in the worker process when this error occurred.
IIS was not able to access the web.config file for the Web site or application. This can occur if the NTFS permissions are set incorrectly.
IIS was not able to process configuration for the Web site or application.
The authenticated user does not have permission to use this DLL.
The request is mapped to a managed handler but the .NET Extensibility Feature is not installed.
Things you can try:
Ensure that the NTFS permissions for the web.config file are correct and allow access to the Web server's machine account.
Check the event logs to see if any additional information was logged.
Verify the permissions for the DLL.
Install the .NET Extensibility feature if the request is mapped to a managed handler.
Create a tracing rule to track failed requests for this HTTP status code. For more information about creating a tracing rule for failed requests, click here.
I am not sure if the error is permissions related or not.
1. How do I rectify this error and still keep the 'Enable 32 application' option turned on so I can call a 32 bit COM DLL ?
2. In general, can the 64 bit version of CF 9 even invoke 32 bit COM DLL's on IIS 7.5 or should this only be done with the 32 bit version of CF 9 ?

Difference with CF10 is you can use CFadmin to change postparamlimit setting.
