Error: 500 INTERNAL SERVER ERROR after deployed the office web server in SharePoint 2013

Hi everyone,
I just installed office web server in one virtual machine which name WAC, and I followed all steps for configure and deployer with SharePoint 2013. It did fine without errors. But When I opened a word or ppt or excel in office viewer mode of SharePoint site.
It show me 500 INTERNAL SERVER ERROR, and nothing more.
Could anyone tell me why? Many thanks.

So you need to troubleshoot WAC.
http://www.wictorwilen.se/office-web-apps-server-2013---machines-are-always-reported-as-unhealthy contains an extensive explanation how to do that, the WAC log files will give a clearer indication than the "500" error, which just says it doesn't work.

  • HT5697 How do i configure os x server wiki to use the external web server?

    I have a Mac mini Server with OS X 10.10 and Server 4.0 running in a DMZ behind a firewall. The firewall passes a select few ports through to this server, exposing services to the Internet.
    I use two domains, one dummy domain only available on my local networks, and one proper domain available globally. Lets call them «example.lan» and «example.com». These domains are not hosted on the Mac mini, btw.
    In the external domain, I have «server.example.com» registered on my firewalls official IP address.
    In my internal domain, I have «server.example.lan» registered to my Mac mini internal (rfc1918) IP address.
    Server 4.0 -> Websites seem to work as expected. I have three servers configured: «Server Website - All IP addresses», port 80 + 443. These serve the local networks. Then there is «server.example.com», port 443, serving the internet.
    Now to my question: How to I control which of these websites we Wiki uses?
    When I activate the Wiki, it is published on «server.example.lan/wiki», which seems rather pointless. In order for the wiki to be available to the internet, it needs to be published on «server.example.com/wiki», but I see no way of doing this. What am I missing here?
    Regards,
    Gakke

    it does look like you can add virtual domains in the GUI of Server.app on at least some versions, but I don't have an OS X Server 10.8 version handy to check.
    I'd encourage spending some time to learn the command line.  In general, the payoff for learning the command line will be worth the effort expended.  You're running a mail server here and sooner or later the capabilities of the GUI will fail you.  This whether due to a configuration omission in the GUI itself, or due to the need to troubleshoot a malfunctioning mail server, a need to automate one or more of the Postfix-related sequences, or some other IT-related task.  Entirely FWIW, of course.
    Here's a cut-and-paste of the sequence just used to test the command line access to the Postfix configuration, first fetching the current value, appending example.com as the second domain, then displaying the new value, then restarting the Postfix server.  Don't enter the dollar signs; just the postconf command and following.  Adjust example.com to match your domain...
    $ postconf mydestination
    mydestination = $myhostname, localhost.$mydomain, localhost
    $ sudo postconf -e 'mydestination = $myhostname, localhost.$mydomain, localhost, example.com'
    Password: {your admin password here}
    $ postconf mydestination
    mydestination = $myhostname, localhost.$mydomain, localhost, example.com
    $ sudo postfix reload
    The Postfix and Postconf commands work irrespective of the OS X Server version; the tools reference the data files as needed.

  • Error 500: Internal Servlet Error

    I am getting the following error message testing the deployment of a mult-tiered applications, which currently has two EJBs and one web component. I am using container managed persistance and I have checked the SQL for the finder methods etc in the delpoyment settings. I am passing a username and password from a static HTML page to a servlet which invokes a finder method of a EJB which it looks up. The finder method is findByLogin( String username, password ). It's SQL implementation with the deployer is - SELECT username FROM warehouse_clerk WHERE username = ?1 AND password = ?2. From the database the table is defined as: CREATE TABLE warehouse_clerk (username VARCHAR(50) , password VARCHAR(50), CONSTRAINT pk_username_ware PRIMARY KEY (username) ).

    java.rmi.RemoteException: Transaction aborted (possibly due to transaction time out).; nested exception is:
    javax.transaction.RollbackException

    <>

    I'm a newbie to Enterprise Java, I haven't tested the EJBs in isolation. The code in the servlet to invoke the EJB is:
    InitialContext context = new InitialContext();
    // Look up WarehouseClerk EJB
    Object object = context.lookup( "java:comp/env/ejb/WarehouseClerk" );
    WarehouseClerkHome warehouseClerkHome = ( WarehouseClerkHome )
    PortableRemoteObject.narrow( object, WarehouseClerkHome.class );
    // Find WarehouseClerk with given username and password
    WarehouseClerk warehouseClerk = warehouseClerkHome.findByLogin
                        ( username, password );
    // Get WarehouseClerkModel for WarehouseClerk
    WarehouseClerkModel warehouseClerkModel = warehouseClerk.getWarehouseClerkModel();
    // Set username in WarehouseClerk's session
    request.getSession().setAttribute ( "username", warehouseClerkModel.getUsername() );
    The EJB has been deployed with the JNDI name of ejb/WarehouseClerk. Any help would be most appreciated, I'm lost.

  • Blank White Screen Appears after deploying the form on server

    Hi Experts,
    We have one strange issue with the interactive form developed.
    One of our end user is seeing a Blank White Screen with Red cross at corner when he opens the form in portal.
    The form Layout type is ZCI and Display type in Web Dynpro is Native. THe user has Adobe 9 version and working on Internet explorer 6.0.
    Kindly let me know how to solve this problem.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Phani.

    Hello,
    this happens when the activeX component is not installed for ACF forms. You say you have ZCI so that should not be the issue. I would recommend to try to open other PDF forms on the internet or offline using this users browser. I would re-install the Reader (well, I would use 8.1, because I´ve heard 9 has problems sometimes). And maybe try to install that activeX component. And... now it reminds me of... check his browser security properties, maybe he is so "secure" that he cannot see the form.

  • Sqlcesa35.dll - 500 internal system error

    Hi, I am looking after a windows cloud server hosting a single web application.
    It has been set up and installed by a third party, I am having to do the day to day maintenance.
    It uses the Microsoft SQL Server Compact Server Agent for one of the tasks, or one of the external devices does.
    Ok the problem, the devices that apparently rely on this aren't syncing, the error seems to be down to access to this agent
    The test I've been told to run is
    http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/rds/sqlcesa35.dll and that I should get a page saying 'Microsoft SQL Server Compact Server Agent'
    what is actually happening, the first time I access this on a new Internet Explorer instance I get the red bars and Error 500 Internal System Error message
    However once I F5/Refresh the page it loads fine. I have had this happen on several devices, connected through different ISP's all having the same problem
    Has anyone got any ideas of things to check for? look for? etc?
    Tris

    Did you look at the Event log on the server?
    Usually, there is a log file in the folder where the sqlcesa35.dll file resides
    Did anything change recently?
    Please mark as answer, if this was it. Visit my SQL Server Compact blog http://erikej.blogspot.com

  • How can i check the office web app server(wac client) is calling custom WOPI host?

    I am getting an error when I testing my wopi host(which is the same as
    example) with Office Web app server "Sorry, there was a problem and we can't open this document.  If this happens again, try opening the document in Microsoft Word."
    1-how can find the log files of this error?
    2-how can i check the office web app server(wac client) is calling my WOPI host?
    I am not sure about cumunication between owa to wopi host. I actually dont know how to implement checkfile and getfile functions to wopi host for waiting for call back from owa client.
    Note:I am sure that office web app server is configured true. Because i test it with sharepoint 2013 and editing and viewing is working well.

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that
    CheckFileInfo is how the WOPI application gets information about the file and the permissions a user has on the file. It should have a URL that looks like this:
    HTTP://server/<...>/wopi*/files/<id>?access_token=<token>
    While CheckFileInfo provides information about a file, GetFile returns the file itself. It should have a URL that looks like this:
    HTTP://server/<...>/wopi*/files/<id>/contents?access_token=<token>
    There is a great article for your reference.

    use of classic mode authentication, also known as Windows classic authentication, is discouraged in SharePoint 2013 according to
    MSDN.
    Office Web Apps can be used only by SharePoint 2013 web applications that use claims-based authentication. Office Web Apps rendering and editing will not work on
    SharePoint 2013 web applications that use classic mode authentication. If you migrate SharePoint 2010 web applications that use classic mode authentication to SharePoint 2013, you must migrate them to claims-based authentication to allow them to work with
    Office Web Apps. For more information, see Use Office
    Web Apps with SharePoint 2013.
    I would suggest to create claims based web application. Any specific reason you are looking for Classic mode?

  • Error 500--Internal Server Error  - when deploying strust application

    Hello everyone,
    We have a large strust-based web application. The application is being deployed as an EAR file.
    We are getting a NullPointerException when we deploy the application on Weblogic 8.1 in production mode. The exception
    occurs when we access the application for the first time after redeployment.
    When we restart the server entirely we do not get the exception anymore.
    This exception does occur only rarely in development mode.
    In production mode it occurrs every time.
    Has anyone experienced similar issues?

    The problem seems to occur due to servlet reloading.... There seems to be
    a bug that reloads the ActionServlet even without any changes made to the
    code base... The reload fails for the ActionServlet making it null
    Turn off servlet reloading in your weblogic.xml using
    <container-descriptor>

    </container-descriptor>
    Let me know if this helps ...The default is to check for every one sec... I am not sure whether these

  • Urgent help On as2 error The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.

    hi,
    im configured the as2 partner setup as per this http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb246129(BTS.20).aspx.
    but when im process file , then file try hit partner url goes dyhradated state,then failed. then i got below error.
    The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.
    please any help..
    Thanks

    500 server error could be due to anyone of the following reasons:
    Party configuration is wrong. Party properties/configurations have  to be discussed upfront with the source/destination system and have to be in-line with
    them.
    Certificates have to be deployed in correct folders based on      certificate types like private/public/signed etc.
    Firewall (or network components) has to be opened accordingly for parties(systems) to interact. This change has to be done at the both the levels, source and destination.
    If you receive it through HTTPReceive.dll (may uses this for AS2), you have to check its configurations.
    Also 500 error, could occur even if your BizTalk artifacts has not been configured/deployed/enabled properly.
    If this answers your question please mark it accordingly. If this post is helpful, please vote as helpful by clicking the upward arrow mark next to my reply.

    Hi Mou,
    I just tried your win app code about calling web service, but failed. I got the 500 error after I called your service:
    The error message I quoted from Fiddler:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"><soap:Body><soap:Fault><faultcode>soap:Client</faultcode><faultstring>System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Failed : Invalid credentials ---&gt; System.Exception: Invalid credentials

    I am not totally sure that error occurred by the authentication. But I suggest you can try to add this service into your project using this method below:
    1.right click the Reference and select Add Service Reference
    2.input your service link and click "Go"
    And you can use this service as the following:
    private async void callService()
    ServiceReference1.SearchDataIndexSoapClient client =new ServiceReference1.SearchDataIndexSoapClient();
    var Str= await client.StartIndexAsync(new ServiceReference1.AuthHeader { Username = "Admin", Password = "Admin" });
    Please try it.

    Addition to my original issue...
    Since I could not get the RPAS Web Deployment to work on WebLogic Server (without SSO Support), I thought I would try the install on Apache Tomcat.
    This worked out of the box without any issues, so it seems my issue is on the WebLogic Server. Does anyone have any feedback on why it doesn't work on WebLogic?

    When I connect to the SharePoint site that contains the lists I need to build my query from , Power Query enumerates the list and displays them in the tool. I can click on the system tables and view the records but any table
    in the list I created returns this  error.
    I can connect fine with InfoPath
    [DataSource.Error] SharePoint:   Request failed: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server   Error. (An error occurred while processing this request.)
    thank you for your help

    Hi Andrew. In order for us diagnose this issue, you'll need to capture some network traces using a tool such as Fiddler and share them by sending a Frown.
    To capture a trace using Fiddler, start Fiddler, enable the Tools > Fiddler Options > HTTPS > Decrypt HTTPS traffic option, start the capture, reproduce your issue, then stop and save the capture. You can find more information here.
    Once you've done that, please send a Frown through the Power Query ribbon and attach the traces.
    Thanks,
    Ehren

    Hi ..
    Reset the device:
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
    If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
    You will have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.

  • The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.

    Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack
    trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
    Exception Details: System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.
    Source Error:
    Line 63: }
    Line 64: //Gets the response
    Line 65: WebResponse response = req.GetResponse();
    Line 66: //Writes the Response
    Line 67: Stream responseStream = response.GetResponseStream();

    Looks like C# code and you've posted to the Visual Basic forum.
    Anyway, an error 500 means that there is a problem accessing the resource in the web request. There could be many reasons for this so I would verify that the web request is correct first and if it continues to fail then the resource (web page?) needs to
    be fixed before your code will function.
