Error 5002, can't see the songs in my cart!

I chose to buy songs using a cart, but every time I try to open the page in itunes where the songs I chose should be listed, an error sign appears: it can't complete the request, unknown error (5002). I can't view the songs in my cart! What can I do?

I would suggest as this is not Apple software you are using, you might want to look here.

  • Help! I can't see the songs listed in ITUNES!

I am not that computer literate, but since last night I have not been able to see the song list in ITUNES. How can I buy a song if I dont see it listed? I have have been downloading songs without difficulty for months. What gives?

    Angela,
Welcome to the forums. You need to be running iTunes 4.9 or later to use the iTunes Music Store. This is a very recent change. Go HERE and download the latest version.

  • Can't see the songs on iPod

Read this link before this question.
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1584036&tstart=0
In the link above, I explained a problem with expose, which in turn caused a problem with my iPod.
"Another time, dragging an mp3 to my iPod. The latter of the two causing a serious problem which I'm going to post in another topic."
The songs disappeared from my iPod.. They are still on the hard drive in the iPod, but the songs don't appear in the list anymore. I have songs on there which I can't replace. What do I do?
If you have any questions please ask them.
    Thanks,

PS I get "error -41" when I plug it in.

It sounds as if the iPod's database has gotten corrupted. Generally, the fix for that is to restore it. Note: restoring will delete everything on the iPod and return it to factory state.
Plug the iPod in and click the restore button in the Summary page. When it's done restoring, resync and all should be fine.
    Best of luck.

  • Can't see the songs, but they are still taking up the space

I know that this topic has been address before but I have searched and searched and found no results.
I have a 30gig ipod (I believe a 3rd gen) that, all of a sudden, does not read any of my songs. It's like when I turned on the ipod for the first time. However, when I checked the "about this ipod" in the settings, it still reads that about 27gigs are being used up. The same amount that all my songs took up.
Now, my problem is that I have change computers and I don't have many of the songs anymore on this new one. I'm using a mac and I want to know if there is anything that I might be able to do to restore these songs. If not, is there any way I can at least see what songs I had on there so I can go about finding them again?
    Thanks ahead of time.

    Brettaf,
Try one or more of the recovery processes below. They may help.
These links will give you several methods of recovering whatever songs remain on your iPod; some free, some third-party software, some more comprehensive for restoring Playlists, Ratings, Play Counts, etc. Read them and their associated links before deciding on a strategy that works for you. There are many various third-party software programs that will offer a more robust process, or an easier GUI. Do a Google search for them if the links below leave you wanting…

MacMuse: Computer Crashed (free user steps – music recovery only)

Copying Songs from Your iPod to a Mac or PC (resource for 3rd party software)
    iPodRip Software
    PodUtil Software
Senuti (Mac OS X v10.3 or higher Recovery Utility)
XPlay (Software For Music Recovery &/or Cross-Platform Functionality)
XPlay Photo Browser (For recovering Photos)
After recovering your song files, strongly consider developing a thorough backup strategy for just this type of situation.
You need at least two full sets of your music, not including what is on the iPod:
-- One full set on the PC within iTunes (on internal HD or ExHD)
-- One full set on an separate external backup medium (CD/DVD/ExHD/other)
-- One (full or partial) set on the iPod
Music files on just the iPod and only one other medium is not considered having any backup.
If you cannot store your complete music files on the computer’s internal HD, then create and maintain at least two external sets (any multiple combinations of ExHDs, DVDs, CDs).
Backup both the music files and the Library database file (iTunes Library.itl). What are the iTunes Library files?

  • Can't see the songs listed on the IPOD in Itunes

I cannot click on the IPOD administrator when connected to Itunes and get the song listing on the IPOD shuffle.  All I get is the IPOD shuffle settings screen (showing Software version 1.0.4, capacity, serial # etc)- no listing of the songs,  This is a recent problem - in the last 2 weeks. I have downloaded latest IPOD and ITUNES software and it does not fix the problem.
    Can someone please help?

Not dumb...    It's actually a bit confusing with the latest version of iTunes, and it only affects 1st and 2nd gen shuffle users.
Before, it was Settings and Content.  And they clearly looked like separate "tab" choices.  iTunes 11 changed the wording to Settings and On This iPod, and it's harder to see the separation as "button" choices.  So, it looks like it says, "Settings on this iPod."  On other iPods, it starts with Summary (not Settings) there are more button choices there (not just two), so it's not as confusing that the last one is On This iPod.
Thanks for reporting back with the outcome.

  • Can't see the song on the ipod

Hi everyone , really need your help . got a ipod classic 80g. it was working fine until today when all the songs and videos are "gone" from the ipod. when i look at the setting menu it's said that 74g are in use(but it's shown as other?!?) and when i plag it to the pc it's all still there (and i'm not talking about in the itune)so it's all there but on the mian menu it's said 'no music' , 'no video' ...please help ...

Try restoring your iPod. Just be aware that restoring will erase the iPod's hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings, so if you have songs on your iPod that aren't on iTunes you will lose them if you have no back up. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions to name the iPod and automatically sync your songs and videos onto the fresh installation. Press Done and the iPod will appear in iTunes and start to sync. If you want to update manually or using selected playlists uncheck the box beside the sync automatically instruction and press Done, it will default to manual mode and you can choose whatever setting you like: Restoring iPod to factory settings with iTunes 7

  • Emergency! Partition permission error! can't see the whole partition!

    GUYS, ! Need your help!
The HD inside my MBP has 2 partitions. system & work
Somehow, I can't see partition Work in the Finder. I tried repair it in the disk utility. However, partition Work appears to be grey, and I can't verify nor repair the permission.
I also tried booting MBP with the Tiger restore disk. I met the same situation and No success at all.
Can anyone help me this out? Thanks in advance.

It could be that the partition has had the invisible bit set. See this thread:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=865694&tstart=0
If you can still navigate to stuff on the partition it is likely that is the problem.

  • I can't see the songs

Lately, when I go to the music store, I'll search for a song, but nothing comes up on the bottom half of the screen. All the albums that the song is on appear on the top, but where the songs should be listed: That's all blank Any ideas why?

I am having the same problem, Betsy. Whenever I type in the name of a song or an artist, it searches for it and will bring up albums etc the song is on, but it won't list anything on the bottom half of the screen. If you download 6.0 (since most people said that would fix this problem), will I then have 2 versions of Itunes on my computer, or will it just be like upgrading it?

  • Can't see the songs on my Ipod

When I connect the Ipod to the computer I can see it in the "source" window in the iTunes. Under the Ipod line there is a line named "on the go-1". This list contains a list of songs that can be played by the computer while the Ipod is connected. When I disconcet the Ipod the playlist in the Ipod with the same name is empty and no songs appear in this list.
Can you assist in resolving this matter.
    Thanks.

What your doing is clicking the little arrow on the right side of the IPod tab. That's the eject function. Make sure you instead click right on the words, "iPod".

  • People can still see the content on iPod even it is encrypted.

I don't know why even I set the password for my iPod, in the Locked Screen, before typing the password, I can still see the songs and play it on my iPod. It's not safe. Imagine if someone took the device and they can immediately see the songs that I listen to without typing the password. What can I do to keep the songs safe from people's eyes.

I know I shouldn't ask but I just can't help myself... Why does it matter if other people know what songs you listen to?

  • I uploaded my album, but can't see individual songs on Itunes

    Hi,
I am an artist and uploaded this morning my album with Cdbaby to iTunes. I can find my album now in the iTunes Store, see the album cover and name, but can't see the songs that are in this album. So i can't see the tracklist, and also can't buy the songs. I can buy the album, and then i recieve all the songs. On Cdbaby i submitted that people are able to buy the songs seperatly. How come? Does anyone have any idea, i can't find anything!

For getting songs off your iPod and back into iTunes, check this link out.
