Error 5002 when downloading app's?

Apple TV was purchased 4/12. Its vers 2
I am using an ipod touch 4th gen and have a PC with windows 7.. all up to date (April/2012) itunes on both devices and windows up to date.
I am trying to download the remopte app for my apple TV and on the PC version of the store - says error 5002 for the last hour.
on the iPod, all is well until it begins dowloading to the screen and it begins and then just disappears...... no error messages.
What's up?
What did I do wrong...

I was not able to use the credits towards the pre-order and I didn't see any other work-around to this problem. However, if you contact iTunes support and explain that you are getting this error and explain that you don't want to use your song credits right now, they should be able to allow you to spend your credits, download the album, and give you the song credits back (essentially giving you a few free songs in the process). This is exactly what they offered to do for me. That way I would be able to get my pre-order and still have my song credits left.

Error (5002) when downloading maroon 5 presale album

Hi there,
I purchased the maroon 5 presale album and now it's available to download. However, when I try to log into account, I get an error that says "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occured (5002)." Does anyone know how to solve this problem?? I tried last night and tried again today, the same error still happens. Thanks a lot for your help.

What system are you trying to install on? Which programs? As a start, download and install the latest version of AAM:
Adobe - Adobe Application Manager : For Windows
Adobe - Adobe Application Manager : For Macintosh

I had this problem for about six weeks. I was following this forum but was too unsure of what might happen to try the fixes that were suggested.
About two weeks ago I decided to delete the downloads.28.sqlitedb file (usingDiskAid(a free program), on a PC running Windows 7). The original downloads.28.sqlitedb was 936 KB. The new one that the system created is 80 Kb., and has stayed at about that size. After about four days I also deleted all the other contents of the Download folder. Ten days later and still no more problems. Downloads are much quicker, nothing greys-out (as was happening frequently before).
Everything has worked well since with no more error messages.
I am using an iPod 4G, iOS 5.1 (originally iOS 5.0). I do not have a manifest file, and as far as I know, have not had one. DiskAid can search the whole "hard drive" on the iPod.
Deleting downloads.28.sqlitedb and the contents of Downloads worked for me.

Welcome to the Support Communities! If you are having trouble logging in to the App store on your iPad, I would first suggest you restart the device.
Then go to My Apple ID (appleid.apple.com), click “Manage your Apple ID,” and try to sign in with your Apple ID. If you are unable to sign in, follow the steps provided there to reset your Apple ID account password.
Then in the iTunes & App Store settings, sign out of your account, sign back in and try to purchase or redownload the app again.

After recently doing the toshiba system update for my AT300-32gb tablet I now get the following error message when downloading free apps from Google Play Store -Error processing purchase {DF-BPA-13].
Automatic update for downloaded apps no longer works either. Anyone have a solution to this?

Go into your settings and touch "apps" on the left. Then touch "Google Play services" and tap "Clear data" and "Clear cache." Then touch "Apps" again on the left. Now do the same for the "Google Play Store" entry. Then hold down the power button until it asks if you want to turn it off. Go ahead and turn off the tablet. Then turn it back on and try again.

I have been trying to fix this myself and just found a way tonight. This started happening after I downloaded a new version. I tried several other approaches and was unsuccessful until I was directed to the support website. I searched for 5002 error. I chose specific conditions and alert message. Then chose "Error 5002" which gave a little detail.
Basically I had to go to the above site and change my password and some other account information. It didn't work when I tried in my actual ITUNES application. I think because my account was so old and they upgraded some security items like stronger passwords etc., so the old stuff was no longer good enough. I have now redeemed two gift cards. I hope it helps.

Yeah this "fix" is bunk. The movie is downloading just fine, but the extra features is the one giving me this error code. It is NOT my firewall. If it was, then both files wouldn't download. Plus, I already have the firewall "issue" tacked down and fixed. Have had it fixed for months now. No, this is due to the "new" itunes version 11 software. The only conclusion to fix this issue is UPgrading from 11 back to 10.7 which is what I am going to do. This is completely ridiculous! Come on, Apple, get itunes working once and for all, and fire the people responsible for itunes 11, just like you did to the guy who was responsible for apple maps. Thankfully Google came back to the rescue with google maps app.

There is no bug. While you can update your iOS via wi-fi, it's recommended to do so via USB & iTunes. Depending on your wi-fi connection & singal strength, you can get errors. That's not a function specifically of the device.

It appears Apple’s download servers are ‘overwhelmed’ today. I couldn’t download the newest iTunes update or IOS 7 and there are a lot of discussions today about not being able to download. One poster said they had chatted with App Store support who confirmed the problem.

i had the same problem, error 1004 when updating apps from iPod. In case this solution doesn't work for you try this one i found in another thread
Go to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset All Settings
And confirm. This will not delete your personal data.
After these steps I finally was able to download pending updates.

Getting "error unknown" while downloading apps.

I was downloading and updating apps when after the app says "waiting" i would get an unknown error. would ask constantly for a password when i hit retry. I have signed out through settings. and also reset the device after signing out. also this was done after filling out security questions through my ipad. thanks for the help.
