Error 502 When downloading (Check For Download)

i have an issue while downloading "Inception" Movie! Iam getting The error 502!
i can download anything else! Apps or music or music video!
im on iTunes Store UK.
Any way to solve this issue ?

iTunes in Mac OS X Tiger is outdated. Open  > Software Update to install the latest iTunes version for Tiger.
If you need iTunes 10.7 or a newer version, you have to upgrade to Mac OS X Snow Leopard. First, check that your Mac is supported > http://support.apple.com/kb/sp575 If it is, buy Snow Leopard > http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
After buying Snow Leopard, make a backup of your data, insert the DVD and upgrade to Snow Leopard. After upgrading, open  > Software Update, and install the latest Snow Leopard version. Finally, run Software Update again to install iTunes 11.0.4. If you want to install iTunes 10.7 instead, download it from the Apple website > http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1576

Error msg: unalble to check for downloads - itunes store is temprarily unavailable

hello for 2 days now I cant access my purchased items and download - I can continue to purchase and continue to be charged but still no downloads. i have tried using different authorised devices but no luck. I have reverified all my account information and even entered a voucher - still no luck.
has anyone had the same problem and know what is causing this - the apple folks seem to think that the problem is not at their end!!

i got a mail from apple a fiew hours ago. They think it`s a problem with my own network... so i send the next mail :-)
But actually i can acess to my purchase history again, so i think they are working at their Problem.

"Unable to check for downloads" message -- how do I see the movie I rented?

I just rented "The King of Kong" through my AppleTV and it tells me to go to Settings-Downloads-Check for Downloads to view it, but when I do I always get "Unable to check for downloads"! So how exactly do I see the movie I just rented? And of course there is no one live at customer support at this hour. This is not the seamless experience I've always heard people are supposed to have with Apple products!

Same problem on 3rd rental--"Over Her Dead Body." Amazing how many times this title appears on this thread. Coincidence or server issue? I haven't tried renting since this problem. Title appears in iTunes account; checking "purchases" under "Store" shows all purchases downloaded. It does... Apple TV has a problem with the assignment to the itunes account after updating. Restore to factory settings or unlog and news login to the itunes store helps to see the rented/downloaded film(s).

You are mixing different issues. I will address Numbers.
Has Numbers ever been installed on this new Mac? Did you have the Mac App Store version of Numbers or did you have the DVD version of Numbers?
You should be able to redownload a previous purchase of the Mac App Store version of Numbers from the Purchases pane after signing into your account.
If you had the DVD version, then you will need to install that from the DVD media.

Launch iTunes on your computer.
From the menu bar click iTunes > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Click Reset warnings and Reset cache
Click OK.
Restart your computer, launch iTunes.
Click Store > Check for Available Downloads...

I had the same issue with my apple tv 3rd generation. I rented Sinister and selected the "rent and watch now" option. Half way through the movie I accidentally pressed the menu button. When I looked for the rented movie on my apple tv I could not find it. Not even above the movie pannel where "purchased" and "top movies" comes up on the main menu. the apple tv suggests to go to settings>downloads but I don't have that option. I did go to settings> itunes store> check rentals but that didnt work either. It took too long to even check. Thank you because this SOLUTION worked great.
SOLUTION: How to reset apple tv 3 3rd generation to view rented movies:on the apple tv remote: press and hold "menu" to go to the main menu. Select SETTINGS> GENERAL >RESET >RESET ALL SETTINGS. After the apple tv resets, input all your information again and your rented movies should be visible when you cruise above the "movies" section. THANK YOU!!
Apple needs to solve this issue because honestly it took me 3 hours and a half to watch a movie that only lasted 2 BECAUSE I wast trying to solve the issue, reseting and all. blahh.

If you have 64bit Vista or Windows 7, look for the seperate download of iTunes for that further down the page.
Once installed, use the Apple Software Update under your Start Menu to fully update all Apple components.
Your content will remain on the drive in the Music > iTunes Folder, nothing is deleted.
You should be making backups of your content regularly, either through iTunes or via copying the iTunesFolder in your Music folder to a external drive.
Windows is notorious for having "other" issues that make it unstable, we as volunteers helping others can't always resolve those issues.

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting that track from your iTunes library (if it's still in there then iTunes won't let you re-download it) and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

Then that means you got the ipod touch 2G because the ipod touch 2G only goes up to iOS 4.2

Check for download fails

I contacyed Apple, since I lost my library. I ever backed any of it up, my bad. Apple kindly let me redownload all of my purchases. However when I click on check for downloads, I get this error everytime:
iTunes store is temporarly unavailable. Please try again later.
I keep trying at different times, but to no avail. What could be wrong? I know my internet connection is fine. I also have a Mac.
