HI james,
1. Ensure that the password provided to the user name for Token application pool is correct.
2. Ensure that the “security Token service application” is in started state
please check the below link for the same resolution,

  • VS 2012 cannot open SharePoint 2013 site

    Hi,
    I am using SP 2013, VS 2012.
    I am trying to create a new project - selected SharePoint 2013 Visual webpart project. In the site to connect, I added a site (which I am site collection Administrator) , and selected "Deploy as Farm solution". I added a visual web part in the solution
    when I run the solution the solution successfully build and then open browser(Google Chrome) , the browser asks user name and password for the site I give user name and password but site is not open, it is loading but sometimes it loads in 10 to 15 mins. On
    the other hand when I deploy the solution (right click on the solution and deploy ) the web part is deploy in the gallery and successfully placed on the site but the main problem is that when I run the solution in VS 2012 it cannot open the site.
    How to fix this?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Based on your description, you have deployed the solution to your site successfully, however, there is an issue of opening browser through Visual Studio.
    What version of IE you use?
    What if you set your site as trusted site in IE, will the issue still occurs?
    Feel free to reply with the test result.

  • Open SharePoint 2013 site by iPad Safari

    Hi expert,
      In same network, I can use Safari (iOS 8.1.2) to open SP 2013 by port, for example 192.168.1.100:1234. but how to open a site that the port is default port 80 ? For example, I create a BI site, the URL is portal.contoso.com/Sites/BI/pages/default.aspx
    I tried in Surface Pro 3 without join domain then set the URL name in ../etc/Hosts. how about iPad ?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    In Windows system, when accessing websites on a Local Network web server, it firstly find entries in Host file under C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\Hosts, then check relevant information in Router, if it is a domain-joined machine, it will check entries
    in DNS server.
    Please understand I'm not sure about how Mac system work. You may refer to the article below for methods that can work for your situation:

  • How do you migrating a SharePoint 2010 BI PerformancePoint site to a newly built SharePoint 2013 site?

    Hi All,
    I need help in migrating a SharePoint 2010 BI PerformancePoint site to a newly built SharePoint 2013 site on another server. The SharePoint 2010 BI Performance Point site has mainly Analytic graphs and charts that work perfectly within the SP 2010 environment
    but do not work within the SP 2013 environment. When I open the graphs and charts within Dashboard Designer I get a ‘cannot access the data source’ error message. The problem I am having is there is no way I can edit the graphs and charts to use a newly created
    data source on the SP 2013 site.
    I hope you can help
    Colin

    Just been going through all this with a client.
    Make sure that you either migrate the Secure Store using the Database Attach method (You'll need the farm passphrase to do this), or ensure that you recreate any Secure Store groups required for users to access the data sources.
    If you're not using the Secure Store for access to the data, try monitoring the SQL logs on the target data stores and looking for login failures. The PerformancePoint service account(Or the excel unattended account) may required access to the
    data store.
    Also, if you're using PowerPivot, be aware that your Excel files will need to be created in Excel 2013 with the PowerPivot 2013 add-in in order for manual refresh (Or refresh on open) to work.

  • Error while crawling LOB contents SharePoint 2013

    Error while crawling LOB contents SharePoint 2013
    I have Configured the BDC Service application using SQL external content. The connection was successful and I am able to see the external content in the List "BDC Demo" . But when I search in the BDC Demo site it gives nothing.
    So I checked in the crawl logs and identified that it shows " 1 " under error. to further drill down the issue , I went to click on "1" and see the error message : Error while crawling LOB contents SharePoint 2013 .
    I have created an external DB named BCSDemo_DB for which I have granted my search Service account read& write permission.
    I have added the same account under administrators for both secure store and BCS service applications.
    I have done index reset , done a full crawl but the error still occurs.
    Can someone please advise if I am missing something.
    Regards

    Hi Aravinda,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you crawled SQL database table in SharePoint 2013.
    This error is caused by the fact that the default content access account does not have any rights to access the metadata store in the Business Data Connectivity Service Application.
    Or it is caused by the default content access account has no rights on the SQL database.
    For fixing it, you need to grant the default content access account permission on metadata store in the Business Data Connectivity Service Application and the SQL database. You can refer to the link below:
    http://www.sharepointinspiration.com/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=5
    After that, do a full crawl for the content source.

  • "An error occurred accessing your Microsoft SharePoint Foundation site files" connecting site with SharePoint Designer

    I have a SharePoint 2013 environment with 1 AD Server, 1 DB Server and 1 APP Server, with 13 Web Applications running under the SharePoint.
    Recently I rebuilted the application because of some infrasctrucutre problems, and I was able to solve all of them, except one. I can't connect to any of those 13 Web Apps with SharePoint Designer. When I try to connect, it always ask credentials, then it
    seems like loading the site, then the error appears:
    "An error occurred accessing your Microsoft SharePoint Foundation site files. Authors - if you are authoring against
    a Web server, please contact the Webmaster for this server's Web site. WebMasters - please see the server's application event log for more details."
    I've spent hours troubleshooting it, but none of the information I found was valid. I've already tried to clean the cache, but didn't work. I found plenty of related data of this
    error with FrontPage and old versions of SharePoint, but nothing helped. All the Web Apps are SPD-Enabled at Site Collection Administration. I've tried connecting from many different PC's. The 15/LOGS folder doesn't get any data from this error, neither the
    Event Viewer.
    I really don't know what else to do. Please Help!

    I found the answer of my issue was in a .NET Agent installed by NewRelic on the server. I found a connection trouble with Fiddler, then I end up figuring this out:
    This can be the result of Real User Monitoring so the first step in troubleshooting would be to disable it and see how it affects the application. The .Net Agent injects snippets of javascript into the header of pages sent to the users browser to measure the
    page load time on the user's end.
    You can disable RUM by editing newrelic.config and changing this line:
    <browserMonitoring autoInstrument="true"/>
    to this:
    <browserMonitoring autoInstrument="false"/>

  • Sharepoint 2013 site webdav path on office

    Dear All
    I had a problem when open a document word or excel on sharepoint 2013 site,
    when open it and choice save as it will show the path on PC default location not a sharepoint site web path.
    How can I fix it.
    Regards
    PK

    Hi PK,
    According to your description, my understanding is that when you opened a SharePoint document, and chose Save as, it didn't open the SharePoint path.
    Why not use "Save" button to save the document to SharePoint site? I suggest you click "Save" instead of "Save as".
    If this issue still exists, please uncheck “Enable Protected View for files located in potentially unsafe location” in the Trust Center of Office.

    SharePoint 2013 site coll's created. Home page not displaying. Same issue for all site coll's in the farm. Done the basic checks. Any Ideas?

    Hi lakshita,
    Would you please check whether you can go to the page:
    http://siteurl/_layouts/settings.aspx page:
    http://siteurl/default.aspx page? If so, go to Site Features in site settings page, reactivate the Wiki Page home page feature, check the result.
    If not, please check whether there is related information in ULS log and event viewer log file? Does the page shows page not found or other errors? Check whether the site can be opened in other machine?

    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to follow site programmatically in SharePoint 2013.
    I suggest you debug the code step by step to check whether the variable is valid.
    You can also create a simple console application to test whether it works.
    Here is a code snippet for your reference:
    SPServiceContext serverContext = SPServiceContext.GetContext(web.Site);
    UserProfileManager profileManager = new UserProfileManager(serverContext);
    string userString = user.LoginName.ToString();
    UserProfile userProfile = profileManager.GetUserProfile(userString);
    if (userProfile != null)
    SPSocialFollowingManager manager = new
    SPSocialFollowingManager(userProfile);
    SPSocialActorInfo actorInfo = new SPSocialActorInfo();
    actorInfo.ContentUri = new Uri(web.Url);
    actorInfo.AccountName = user.LoginName;
    actorInfo.ActorType = SPSocialActorType.Site;
    manager.Follow(actorInfo);

  • SharePoint 2013 Site Mailboxes behind UAG

    Hello,
    I tried to connect to my SharePoint 2013 site mailbox through UAG. From internal access, it works fine.
    From external access, I was connected to the SharePoint Site. I clicked on the Mailbox link I have a OWA form based authentication. After wrote my credential, I had an error page "404 - File or Directory not found". I clicked on back button an

    Hi Luo,
    Thank you for your answer. Below replies to yours :
    1. Yes we have activated the form based authentication on UAG. We used based authentication on Outlook Web Access. Connections to Webmail works fine.
    2. We used external URL for Webmail, but for Office Web Apps reasons we have added another internal DNS zone with the same domain name than external domain. We have added Hosts Record.
    3. On local network, we can have access to Site Mailbox in Outlook, I have never tested this from external network. I have added "send as" rights for the user on the shared mailbox and the full rights on the shared mailbox.
    Summary :
    Our client have installed SharePoint 2013, Office Web Apps 2013 and Exchange 2013 SP1. He wants to have an external access to Office documents and also to Site Mailboxes on SharePoint. Office Web Apps works fine inside and outside. Site Mailboxes works fine
    Inside but not outside. They used a domain name like "internal.cotonso.com" and the external domain name is "contoso.com". They called us to resolved this problem. The only Warning informations we received from the Event Viewer with
    sixteen different event id with number 67

  • I've got every time when i open a new site a popup how to remove this

    i've etting evry time when i open a new site a popup? how to remove this pls

    Click here and follow the instructions, or if desired, run Adware Medic; you don't need to download it or any other software to resolve this issue, but may find it easier to do so. Clicking on the second link will normally start downloading it immediately; if you get an error message instead, see this page.
    While Adware Medic is safe to use(it was created by a longtime contributor to these boards), you should avoid downloading software from sources other than the Mac App Store and the developer’s website; this was probably how the adware producing them got onto the computer.

    How to fix this in a code. We can not change client's IE policies to update this. Do they need to use chrome?
    MCTS Sharepoint 2010, MCAD dotnet, MCPDEA, SharePoint Lead

    Hi,
    I’m afraid we could not fix this in the SharePoint perspective, as it is a update for IE.
    When allowSilverlightPrompt method is set to false,
    users will not be prompted to load Silverlight if it isn’t already installed.
    It is not for disable the Silverlight for the users who have installed the Silverlight.
    http://www.dontpapanic.com/blog/?p=116
    If your company policy could not update the IE, instead of using IE, I recommend you can use the Chrome or Firefox browser.
