Error 507

I wanted to update my 9790 to OS 7.1 using bbsak Bt it failed and it's saying error 507 reload software.i need yo help

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
BBSAK typically is not used to "update" a device...it is a very powerful tool intended for specific issues, and provides a very strong device WIPE, which it appears you ran. A 507 means that there is no OS installed to the BB, and that is the expected result of a BBSAK WIPE. But, you can recover...
The simplest way is to, on a PC (you cannot do this on MAC):
1) Make sure you have a current and complete backup of your BB...you can find complete instructions via the link in my auto-sig below. (Moot for you now, since you did the WIPE...so hopefully you already have a recent backup.)
2) Uninstall, from your PC, any BB OS packages
3) Make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed
http://us.blackberry.com/software/desktop.html
4) Download and install, to your PC, the BB OS package you desire:
http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
It is sorted first by carrier -- so if all you want are the OS levels your carrier supports, your search will be quick. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To truly seek out the most up-to-date OS package for your BB, you must dig through and find all carriers that support your specific model BB, and then compare the OS levels that they support.
5) Delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
Now, with that preparation complete, attempt the use of these tricks. But, if any suggest an Update Website or any other means, substitute please LOADER.EXE, which you will find at or very nearby where you found (and deleted) one of the VENDOR.XML files:

  • Error 507 - I can not Update de OS

    Hello!
I have the error 507 in my device BB 8320. I have run the Java Loader to uninstall the OS because I had problems with my carrier.
Now I tried to update the soft from the new DTM (6.0) but this one does not give me the option "Update device".
What can I do? All what happened to my device is in the message BB 8320 - Restard and battery problem from leofer.
    Thanks

See the link below, for the download and simple installation instructions.
First locate your carrier and the OS file you wish to use.
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
Do a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > Backup. Close Desktop Manager upon completion.
    1. Download the OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
    2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

  • How to overcome error 507 (too many events??)

By now have way over 20,000 events in Calendar and cannot update with iCloud anymore ("error 507" -- means too many, right?).
So I guess I have to delete some old ones, but cannot find the checkbox in Preferences-Advanced in Calendar anymore.
In i-Cloud web Preferences-Advanced there is a "Hide" old ones, but just hiding would not really solve the problem.
So what can one do with the new Calendar 6.0 to bulk-delete old entries?
    Thanks for any help provided.

i have read around but no solutions. please help as am desperate

    Hello,
Please check carefully these instructions, most importantly the part about deleting VENDOR.XML file(s).
    1) Uninstall, from your PC, any BB OS packages
    2) Make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed
    http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/?lid=us:bboftwareesktopSoftware&lpos=us:bboftware
    3) Download and install, to your PC, the BB OS package you desire:
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
    4) If that OS package is from a carrier other than the carrier for which your BB was originally manufactured, then delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
    Now, use this process:
KB10144 How to force the detection of the BlackBerry smartphone using Application Loader
    freexrythem wrote:
"There is no  BlackBerry® Software available."
Most often, that message is the result of one (or more) of the following:
There is no BB OS package installed to the PC, and there is nothing available from the carrier (as represented by the VendorID hardcoded into the device)
There is a BB OS package installed to the PC, but it is from a different (per VendorID) carrier, and the VENDOR.XML file(s) have not been deleted (which causes the installed package to be ignored)
There is more than one BB OS package installed to the PC...which can confuse the Loader tool
    Good luck!

  • Curve 9300: Error 507 then 561 but can't reload the software

Hi, so my Curve 9300 has a white screen indicating an error 507.
I followed the instructions on the website and when I connect it to reload the software, the error number on the screen's device changes to 561 and a window opens to tell me the desktop software can't communicate with my blackberry.
It suggest me to update the software on my blackberry?
When I accept, it asks me to confirm the repair of the device.
Once I clicked on repair and wrote in my password it simply tells me that there are no available updates of BlackBerry Device Software at this time and to put in my email so they can warn me when a new update comes out.
I don't need to update the software obviously, just to reload any version of it so my phone can work again.
If anyone experienced this or knows how i can solve my problem, please help
Either way have a nice day!

    Hi cm1111
    Welcome to BlackBerry Support Forums
As we all know error 507 means there is no OS installed , If your device is not detected then you can try the Application loader to load the OS :
KB10144 How to force the detection of the BlackBerry smartphone using Application Loader.
or You can try this :  How do I wipe the BlackBerry using Jl Cmder? and  What to do next if Jl Cmder will not connect and wipe .

  • Help Please!!! Error 507

    Hi all,
    I need help!
I sent my BlackBerry in for a service and they wiped it and reloaded the software. It seemed to be working fine and then a few days later it stopped working. The screen says error 507 reload software. I plugged it in and started BlackBerry Desktop software for Mac and it said: "The BlackBerry® Desktop Software cannot connect with this device. If clicking Retry doesn't connect the device, or the device isn't rebooting with a charged battery, you might need to repair your software to correct the problem."  When I click repair it asks me to select a download and I select the suggested one. Than it downloads and then says The device could not be repaired please try again. When I do, the same thing happens again. I have no idea what to do but I can't go on without a phone!
Please help me as soon as possible! All help is appreciated hugely!
    Thanking you in anticipation.
Blackberry Curve 9300, Was running BlackBerry software 6 before it stopped working.

Error 507 just means the device has no OS installed.
You will need to reload the OS to the device:
    1. First locate your carrier and the OS file you wish to use.
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
    2. Download the OS file from step 1 to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
    3. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." Also check the following locations for vendor.xml files and delete any instances of the file:
On Windows Vista/7 navigate to C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML (Where "YOUR_USER" is your username)
On Windows XP navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML (Where "YOUR_USER" is your username)
    4.  Plug in BlackBerry and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader

  • Curve 9300 Error 507 & trouble reconnecting JVM

Two days ago my BB Curve 9300 started to show a no battery logo after I had charged the battery the whole night. When I switch on the Phone I get a white screen with Error 507 Reload Software.
I have installed the desktop software and the latest OS on my pc, connected the phone to the pc.
However, when I try to install the new OS, it shows the application loader cannot reconnect to the JVM.
I've already tried to do this without the battery and then put the battery back in when it is trying to connect to the JVM, but this doesn't work..
Somebody know what to do now?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!!
I cannot tell for sure, but are you attempting this?
KB10144 How to force the detection of the BlackBerry smartphone using Application Loader
That should get it to load the OS to the BB, as a 507 means that there is no OS on the BB at all.

  • Reader XI error 507 with browser control in VB6

I have a VB 6 application that has an embedded browser control.  We are in the process of upgrading to Windows 7.  If Reader X (10.1.4) is installed, the PDF (which is viewed through an ActiveX control) displays fine.  If Reader XI (11.0.1) is installed, I get the "There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader.  If it is running, please exit and try again. (103:103)".  I also get an error code of 1014:1014 (which goes away if I open Reader XI and accept the EULA), and 507:507.
Our security group will most likely insist on Reader XI, so figuring this out is a priority.  Any help/advice would be very much appreciated.

  • Reload error 507

    Hi team,
My blackberry smart phone getting 507 error, my device connected with blackberry desktop manager for update the software but its showing there are no available software update. i tried the remove the batter and connecting to desktop manager but its not connecting.
please help me for resolving the issue.
    Regards

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
507 means that there is no OS installed to your BB at all...it's empty. But, it can be recovered from, but not perhaps via the automated means (which, from your post, it seems that's what you've tried). Rather, you need to take full manual control over what is to be installed to your BB. The simplest way is to, on a PC (you cannot do this on MAC):
    1) Make sure you have a current and complete backup of your BB...you can find complete instructions via the link in my auto-sig below. This is irrelevant to your situation now as your BB is already "empty".
    6) Use LOADER.EXE directly, by proceeding to step 2 in this process:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste...
Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC.
If, during the processes, your BB presents another "507" error, simply unplug the USB cord from the BB and re-insert it...don't do anything else...this should allow the install to continue.

  • Error 507- TRIED IT ALL!

I just got my blackberry curve yesterday. I was trying to sync it to my computer and entered the password on the computer wrong ten times.. I thought it just wanted the password ten times, I didn't realise I was getting it wrong! (absolutely stupid I know)
I am pretty computer literate and handy, however I am having problems getting the OS installed back onto my Blackberry, since it has been wiped out. Let me tell you what I have done, and what has happened, and maybe someone can tell me what I am doing wrong?
-I used the Jl_cmder process to wipe out my phone. It changed the error code from 513(i think, whatever the code is after the failed password attempts) to error code 507.
And here is what all i have gone through to try and get the firmware back on my phone:
-I uninstalled and reinstalled the desktop manager 4.5  and the blackberry device manager appropriate my phone. Then I deleted the Vendor file and emptied the recycle bin and rebooted.
-From here I went to the Loader.exe and tried to upload apps here in several ways (with phone plugged in with battery, without battery..etc, basically anyway any type of "how to" article has said)
The loader would basically gave a message saying it could not find any applications for my device.
-I also tried through destop manager to to an application loader, again saying no applications found.
-I loaded the loader through comand prompts. Again no good.
-Unistalled EVERYTHING, reinstalled, rebooted, still nothing.
*note: that my computer detects the phone, it shows up in device manager and desktop manager. And on the apploader.
    So in summary..
I have never backed up my phone before
I wiped it out with JL_cmder
    It says error code 507
I have the current desktop manager
I have the proper OS software installed
I have deleted the vendor file.
    My computer detects my phone
....but for the last 6 hours I have been trying to get it to find the OS software and put it onto my phone and that seems IMPOSSIBLE.
PLEASE help me. I think im loosing it.

Desktop Manager is the sofwtare with, backup/restore, application loader, syncronize...etc
device manager is a component built into desktop manager that makes the comunication to the BB for DTM
device software is the only one that is 'supposed' to be carrier specific and gets installed to windows first
then you use application loader to load it to your BB
when you go through the loader wizard and it says it cant find any software for your device... thats the software its referring to... device software.
if you give me your carrier and your model number, ill get you the exact link you want... it will be some form of 4.5.0.x
but also make sure you definately install DTM 5.0 or 4.7(my other trick depends on it if needed)
also im off to bed, so i wont get the link to you tonight but if you want to try yourself, go here
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
click on your carrier at the bottom and click on your model, then the newest Device software or Handheld Software
    good luck
PS do it with the battery in
