For the first time in two years showing 'error -51' when trying to sink iPad to desktop. ?
search of support.apple.com yielded a mere one result for "error 51" - archived and seemingly unrelated to anything you indicate.
help us out... tell all about your iPad and your desktop - model details, OS details, etc.
take a screenshot of the message (whole screen provides some context perhaps)
also, if you can remember anything that may have immediately preceded the misbehavior or between the last success and now.

For the last week or so, I haven't been able to sync my iPad. Every time I try to do so, I get the same error message:

I have the same issue and I believe we need to upgrade to a newer OS X. I currently have OS X Leopard 10.5.8 and I purchased OS X Snow Leopard 10.6 for $19.99 so that I can install iTunes 11.1. This will hopefully allow me to eliminate the error and sync the iTunes from my iPhone 4s and Mac Book.
iTunes 11.1 requires an OS X of at least 10.6 -

Restart your computer and the iPhone. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons together for 10+ seconds, ignoring the red power-off slider, until you see the Apple logo. It is safe to do, there should be no content loss. It is the same as rebooting your computer.

I'm receiving the following error message when trying to sync my calendars only: "Invalid response received from .mac. Could not complete syncronization. Please try again later." I have no problem syncing Mail, Bookmarks, etc...

I repeatedly receive an error message when trying to sync my ipod touch with my itunes library with my new computer which reads, "Some of the items in the itunes library were not copied to the ipod because you are not authorized on this computer." However when I try and authorize my computer I always receive the message that this computer is authorized. What am I doing wrong? I'm missing about 100 songs as a result of this error!!

In the last few days when I start my computer, I get a box that opens with "AppleSyncNotifier.exe" Entry Point Not Found in the title.
It says: "The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQlite3.dll.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and still get an error message when trying to sync my phone with iTunes
"iTunes could not back up iPhone ####, because a session could not be started with the iPhone."
The last time I tried to sync my phone (iPhone 3G S) with iTunes, everything seemed to freeze up at Stage 4 of the sync process.
Any advice????With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Reboot and see if all is well
In case that your OS is Windows 7 (64 bit)
1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"
3. Open new windows explorer, to to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
4. Paste file "SQLite3.dll" to the location.
5. Reboot your computer, it should not display that message, it should be clear.

You can try going to iTunes with your device connected, select your device, then click view, show duplicate items

I downloaded the icloud software on my computer in order to sync calenders and contacts using Windows 2007, but I keep getting an error message when trying to sync my icloud and Outlook calendars. I downloaded it for the first time a month ago and had it working but it stopped syncing, so I deinstalled the iCloud software and reinstalled, but keep getting the error message "Your setup couldn't be started because of an unexpected error. 1. Restart your computer.
2. Install the latest version of iTunes.
3. Verify that your computer meets the minimum system requirements. iOS devices require the following minimum version of Windows:

Windows 8
4. Download and install any available software updates from Microsoft.5. Connect the device directly to your computer; not to an external USB hub. Find out if your computer has USB 2.0 ports.6. Check that the Dock Connector or Lightning Connector on both the device and cable are clean of any lint or other debris. If possible, connect your device using a different Apple 30-pin to USB cable or Apple Lightning Connector to USB cable.7. Disconnect other USB peripherals from your computer, with the exception of your keyboard and mouse. After disconnecting these peripherals, restart your computer, connect your device, and open iTunes.8. Connect your device to a different USB port on your computer.9. Launch the Task Manager:
For Windows XP: Press Control + alt + delete on the keyboard.
For Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8: Press Control + alt + delete on the keyboard. Then click "Start Task Manager". If Windows needs your permission to continue, click "Continue".
Click the Processes tab of the Task Manager. End each of these three processes by clicking in their names and choosing "End Process":
