I ullpdated itunes with the last version. I have Windows 7 on my computer. Got several error messages, last one was Error 7 (126 ). If I uninstal Itunes and install it again do I loose all the contents (music, books, pictures, apps, ecc)? Thanks for any help

I have an iphone 4 started the problem saying no service, then when restarting asked to connect to itunes and became jammed in MDU mode, I connect to itunes and clicked on restore, it went through all the steps and nearly completed it gives me an error message saying cannot be restored error -1. Can anybody help me how to restore my iphone. or what to do next, some reseller asked me to go the shop where I bought to replace it for me as this error cannot be restored by any shop. Thank you for the question. I understand that you are concerned about losing your media files when uninstalling, but the media files and the application files for iTunes are stored in different locations. When uninstalling the iTunes application, your media files are not affected.

My ipod will not connect to itunes. I reset the ipod touch. uninstalled itunes and installed it. Turned off firewall however the device manager still does not show Apple mobile device usb. What should i do next? I have windows 7.

ITunes worked fine on my Windows 7 machine. Had to rebuild the machine but all the data remains. Downloaded a new version of iTunes and cannot figure out how to load all of my music currently on my hard drive. Tried moving "iTunes Library" file. Did not work. Never had trouble like this before.

The IOS5 upgrade will erase everything on your iPad, so make sure you have a good backup before you start.
If not, you will just have to reenter all of your settings all over again. Have you ever backed it up successfully? -
iTunes would not open, telling me I needed to update to a newer vesion. I downloaded the latest but kept bing met with the error 'Apple Application Support was not found. Apple application Support is required to run iTunesHelper. Please uninstal iTunes, then install iTunes again. Error 2'. Had older version of itunes running well on it but then just bought Ipod and hooked it up and was told to upgrade by uninstalling old version and reinstalling new version..oops..then the nightmares

Disconnected all firewalls and antivirus and even uninstalled them with Revo..
with that effort..I then used winrar to extract to a file and manually install each piece..
all load EXCEPT Apple Application Support..but only if I do it manually..
Quicktime had to be manually installed.
Changed RegSZ to 0xFFFFFF value..still same error An error occurred during the installation of assembly policy 8.0 microsoft VC80. CRT, type =..blah, blah blah..ending HRESULT.... in middle of install..then at end error Apple Application Support not found error 2.
Whew..sooOO frustrated! Have Visual C++ 2005..am having trouble installing upgrades to it..
Windows Installer likes to quit alot..not sure how to fix that..urgh
Want to trash Ipod and itunes all together since finding solution that works for 2 days straight has been in vain!

I used to share an Itunes account but I recently made my own through my phone. I have all my stuff from my phone backed up on the computer on my old Apple ID/Itunes account. I want to back up all my current content on my phone to my NEW Apple ID/Itunes account but I'm afraid things will erase if I try to do so. How can I do this and still keep all the content on my phone currently?
You can't back up iTunes store content to a different account on your oomputer.

My profile on Windows 7 home is set to Administrator and always has been i.e. before iTunes was originally installed. I haven't backed my phone up in a while but found my 3GS stating that it needed to be updated before I could make any more calls. I've got home to find that my iTunes won't run due to a missing .dll file and the suggested solution is to remove everything to do with iTunes and reinstall "with sufficient privelidge". If I'm already an administor then why is it still broke and if i remove everything am I going to loose all my dearly loved playlists etc??
Your playlists are saved as part of your library, and it should not be lost at all as a result of the program uninstall/reinstall.

ITunes and Match not playing Apple Store purchases all the way through
Hi! I recently noticed that several (but not all) of the m4p songs on my computer will not play all the way through, with the music ending 30 seconds to 2 minutes before the end of the song. I decided to try Match thinking this would solve the problem (since they were purchased from Apple, Match is supposed to provide a clean copy, right?), but the songs cut off at the exact same point through Match as well. On my computer the song ends abruptly and switches to another. On my phone, with Match, the song either stays blank as it counts down the rest of the track or switches to another one while the information on the first song stays on screen until the point where it should have ended.
For a specific example: Ryuichi Sakamoto's Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence off the album 1996 is a classical m4p. iTunes stops playing it 1:45 from the end. The stop and start times are listed correctly. It played correctly when I first purchased it from the Apple store in 2005.
Any help fixing this problem would be appreciated.I finally found some answers. I guess the problem is related to moving protected AACs to a new computer. If anyone else is haivng this trouble, the solution can be found at:

Do I loose all the contact on my mac if I install OS X Mountain Lion
Hi,
I want to install OS X Mountain Lion but I wonder if I loose all the content i.e. file and program that I have already on my mac. In that case I have to make backup of all the contents.If you have Lion and use iCloud for Contacts and Calendar, then they will still be there after installing ML. If not, then it would be a good idea to archive them. Go to File>Export>Addressbook archive for Contacts and in iCal the same File>Export. Put these files in a backup folder somewhere for safe keeping. I do the same for Safari bookmarks, Google Earth Places etc, because it can be a bind to lose all your hard work.
Having said that, Setup Assistant will normally transfer your data to the new OS during the installation process without problems. -
After downloading 7.0.3. And then buying an audiobook on iTunes, all the contents in my Books section disappeared, and the new book - 30+ hours - has still has still not fully downloaded. Are all these things linked?

Found an Ipod 8g gen4, had been on the wet and muddy ground, after cleaning, I purchased usb cord to recharge and had to reset to make it work Loaded Itunes to my pc and then loaded my cd's to the Ipod.Had to delete the music from my pc to make room for other stuff, now I want to get on line w/ the pod but it doesn't show up on my pc's "my computor list, and when i type in my password for my wifi the pod tells me I have the incorrect password, but it is not.Any help on how to connect the pod without loosing all the content I have on it ???

You can try installing 7-Zip (free), then right-click on the iTunesSetup.exe or iTunesSetup64.exe file to unpack its contents, and install AppleApplicationSupport.msi as a standalone component. It may still not install successfully, but if it doesn't you may get a more useful error message regarding the reason why.
