I'm sure I will be calling AppleCare, but the problem is, they charge for the phone calls don't they? Because I don't have money to be spending to be on the phone with a support service.
In other things, it seemed like the only time my MacBook was working was when I had Snow Leopard without the 10.6.8 update download that was supposed to be done to prepare for OS X Lion.
When I look at the information of my HD it says that I have 10.6.8 but that was the install that it claimed to have failed and caused me to restart resulting in all of the repeated problems.
Also, because my computer is currently down, and I've lost all files how would that effect the use of my iPhone? Because if it doesn't get fixed by the time OS 5 is released, how would I be able to upgrade?! -
I was updating my ipad2 to iOS.5 version, and somehow the iPad turned of and the update was not finished. When i turned on the iPad the computer nor iTunes could recognize the iPad. I have windows xp. How can I solve this issue?

The iTune cannot detect my iPhone 4S. I have already tried all methods suggested, including re-installling iTune, re-activating Apple Mobile Device, plugging in various USB ports, and etc. I use windows 7. How can I solve this?
The new cable is completely new, and my computer can detect the phone as a drive, and battery charging is ok. So I believe the USB cable works properly. It is so weird that just iTune itself cannot detect the phone, and it is of the most updated version. What else can I do? Thanks.

Every time i start up my computer and plug in my iphone the following message comes up multiple times. In fact, the message comes up with or without the iphone being plugged in.
The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling teh program to fix this problem.

I have tried to install iTunes using the 'repairp option but with no luck. Do i need to delete itues all togetehr and re-install it in order to get it working agin? Now an additional message came up saying.
Service 'Apple mobile device' failed to start. Verify that you have sufficiant privileges to start system services.
not sure if that is related to the above new installation but either way i was unable to fix the original problem.

Yesterday I updated my Itunes account and it stopped working. I tried installing itunes version 11.1.4 and once done it came back with 2 error messages MsvCR80.dll was not found and I tunes was not installed correctly Error 7 (windows error 126) I have removed Itunes completely and redownloaded several times with the same result. Is there an easy fix or can I download an older version of Itunes that works?
None of the solutions mentioned in this forum work for me. I've not ever had a problem with your software before. I installed and uninstalled itunes 3 times. No itunes directories exist. I've uninstalled everything labled Apple on my pc withe the same results. The problem is with your software not Windows.

My intunes stopped leting me connect my ipod or nconnect to the itunes store. So I uninstalled itunes and all apple software an tried reinstalling several times. After each instal I get the following error message.
