Error 8003 downloading updates.
Connected iPad to iTunes to download updates. iTunes reports error 8003.
Is this the right discussion there?
What to do, please?

I just set up my new iMac, and receive error messages when trying to purchase from the iTunes store (error 8003) or update from the App store (error 403 forbidden). THOUGHTS?
I am not sure what you mean by "Flash Player for steam"; the only Flash Player installers I know is the ActiveX (for Internet Explorer) and the plugin (for other browsers); you can find both at http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player- windows.html#main-pars_header

Error while downloading updates on ZTE Open
Hello, sorry guys for asking lot of questions. I have purchased ZTE Open from ebay store(UK) and i wanted to update my phone to FF OS(1.1) but when i click on Check Now button after sometime it says "Error While Downloading Updates"
Any Solution?OTA 1.1 is still delayed to be pushed, hopefully soon. What you are seeing is a bug that ZTE are aware off & should be fixed with next round of updates. Ignore for now. It's not 1.1, or any update for that matter, just a false alarm.

I keep getting network connections error when downloading update for iPhone 4. Any suggestions?
I think I solved the problem by initiating the update in a different way, from the itunes panel where I can click to start the update, instead of saying yes when asked if I want to update when itunes launches in response to the iphone being plugged into the computer.

SCCM 2012 SP1 errors when downloading updates
Currently using SCCM 2012 SP1 with CU2 and I am having some update download issue with Automatic Deployment Rules.
The Environment is:
Server 2008 R2
SCCM 2012 SP1 CU2 (Upgraded from SCCM 2012 CU2)
I created an Automatic Deployment Rule for Adobe Flash. Since I was having the same issue with Adobe Reader, when I published via SCUP to WSUS I chose not to sign the updates.
After publishing to WSUS I then sync SCCM, I see the updates and then in the ADR I had it download the updates and I see this error:
Authentication of file C:\Windows\TEMP\CABDEC5.tmp failed, error 0x800b0004 Software Updates Patch Downloader 8/15/2013 6:49:43 PM 3712 (0x0E80)
ERROR: DownloadContentFiles() failed with hr=0x80073633 Software Updates Patch Downloader 8/15/2013 6:49:43 PM 6876 (0x1ADC)
Failed to download the update from internet. Error = 13875 SMS_RULE_ENGINE 8/15/2013 6:49:43 PM 6876 (0x1ADC)
Failed to download ContentID 16845337 for UpdateID 16841530. Error code = 13875 SMS_RULE_ENGINE 8/15/2013 6:49:43 PM 6876 (0x1ADC)
Now the funny thing is if I go to the update itself within update group that Flash is a member I can right click it and choose download and the error doesn't occur.
I observed that the UNC path for ADR Adobe flash, when the rule is ran, is populated with folders that have a name something like 44738297895427890.1 or 423154325378u867234789.1. I have come to realize that those are failed downloads. So for the
heck of it I then right clicked the update itself and chose download and it downloaded without issue. Now I'm guessing that when I chose to download directly from the update maybe the system is getting the update from adobe and not from wherever the rule was
trying to get it from. I then see the .1 removed from the directory name and there are updates within them.
Just for clarity here are the steps I go through from SCUP to Syncing...
Log in to WSUS server
Run SCUP as administrator
Get notified there are updates from Adobe and let SCUP download updates
Find the updates the specify the following publishing options
Full Content
Sign all software updates with a new publishing certificate .... (Is this necessary by the way?)
Then click Next
After that's done I then go to SCCM Manager Console and go to Software Updates and right click to Synchronize them.
After that's done then I run the ADR for Adobe Flash and when it goes to download the updates that's when the error occurs.
What am I missing?
Also, while I wait for help I just recently added the WSUS SCUP certificate to the SCCM server to see if by chance that fixes stuff. If it does then I'll post the results of adding the certificate to the SCCM server.
One other thing, is there a way to delete updates? When I was having this issue in the past, I went in to SCUP I marked the updates as expired and then deleted the updates. Went to SCCM and synchronized the updates and they went from not expired to expired
then I waited, maybe 30 days or so before I could add the updates back in.
Thanks for the help!Yes, I know this is an old post, but I’m trying to clean them up. Did you solve this problem, if so what was the solution?
Have you seen the note at the bottom of this page about this error?

Thunderbolt SMS text errors after downloading update.
So far, after downloading the newest update for the Thunderbolt on Thu July 14th, I have been having more problems with the phone than I have ever had before. It seems like I am now consistently having THREE different problems with the Messages component of the software:
1) I go to select a conversation and it highlights the conversation when I tap the one that I'm trying to select, but it doesn't open it. Fairly often I have to hit it an extra 1-2 times for it to open the convo...
2) I select a conversation to open, and it opens a conversation for someone else. I haven't had any "calibration" issues with the touch-screen before AND it looks like it highlights the convo that I am trying to open, but then it seems to open another random person from my list of conversations. I'm pretty sure I'm not pressing the wrong one because many times, the one it opens is somewhere way down in the list when I'm just trying to select the most recent one.
3) I have a text conversation open and I know I have the correct one open because I am reading what the person said so I can reply to it. I type in my reply and hit send, and every once in a while it will take about 5-10 extra seconds to send and displays a small dialogue box that says either "Waiting" or "Sending" or "Loading" (I can't quite remember which one). Then the screen switches to a conversation with someone else and it shows that I sent the message to that other person that I didn't even have open. It does actually send it to the wrong person too because I have had someone ask me what I was talking about in my seemingly random text... Pretty frustrating, and now I have to be VERY careful of what I say in my texts because I don't know what random person it might get sent to. A little scary!!!!!
IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING THESE PROBLEMS WITH THE NEW UPDATE??? I have not downloaded any apps from the Android Market that modify my message layout or anything. I'm just using the stock Massages app.Hello Jordan216,
I know messaging is an important form of communication and can be a bit frustrating when not working properly. I would first suggest to try to clear the data for the text messaging application by navigating to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All>Text messaging>Clear Data. After clearing the data please power cycle the device and retest. If that does not assist considering you have the most recent software I would then suggest doing a factory reset. This will erase everything on the device so please back up if desired. You may do so by going to Settings>SD & Phone Storage>Factory Data Reset>Reset Phone>Erase Everything. The phone will prompt you to reactivate after the reset is done and I would like for you to observe the messaging after. If this addresses the issue great, if not please let me know so I may further assist you. Thank you. -
Downloading Update Failed - Internal Module Error
Trying to update my Nokia 6630, and each time it completes the 25mb download before giving me the error.
Downloading update failes
Internal module error
Is this because my phone is a a Vodafone fone, and therefore locked by their software to some description? Or is it a more sinister (or simpler) error?28-Mar-2008 01:07 PM

DnldMgr Error 0x80072efd occurred while downloading update; notifying dependent calls.
Greetings,
I have been running WSUS at my site going on a year now, and have been fairly successful with monitoring and applying updates.j
Very recently a number of my clients a particular site say just slightly less than half have been displaying this error while downloading updates from the server.
I have researched the topic and found few possible solutions, but after testing nothing seems to be consistent.
1. stop update service and bits and remove the sus client ids and restart the service.
2. flushdns entries
3. verify that windowsauthenticated users have access to WSUS folders in IIS.
4. re-register the wups2.dll
Trouble is no one solution seems to work and so I'm having hard time pinning down a specific solution that I need to apply to 78 or so computers. Additionally it seems work almost instantly sometimes and other times it doesn't seem to get fixed till the next day. Its quite confusing, and it seems only affect 1 site out of 4, and I'm anxious to keep the problem isolated to one site. This is quite true, and I have been tackling single computers to correct the problem.
What has changed is the IP address of the WSUS server since we changed subnet masking at our site.
In my early test stages I simply used the IP address at this site, and when the subnet mask and IP changes occurred I took the opportunity to change the policy to reflect the server name as well instead of an IP.
Now roughly 81 out of 277 computers are experiencing this problem, they communicate with the WSUS server, but when they try and download updates several different error's occur.
Here is an excerpt of the log I see on the problem clients. All of them have similiar errors.

Hi - I continue to get error 206 when trying to download photoshop. What is this error? Thank you.
[ERROR] UWANative - download updates returned statusCode:43, errorCode:206
Some error occurred during download. Try again later.
Try the download later or download the update from Adobe.com.
if you follow all 7 steps you can directly download a trial here: http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs6-direct-download-links.html
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version. -
Suddenly receiving error 8003 when downloading updates for apps
Hello -
I've suddently started receiving error 8003 when attempting to download updates to some of my apps. I continue to be able to download other content - new music purchases for example - but not this these 16 updates. I'm running iTunes 10.5.2 on OSX 10.6.8.
Any thoughts on this situation are much appreciated.
Thank you.

Partial Duplicate Downloads (Error 8003)
One evening I set a TV series to download on my ATV. The next morning I noticed that episodes were down loading on my iMac. When that had finished, I had a complete series (and nothing else) on my Mac. However, when I return to my ATV as well as all the complete episodes I also have some partial duplicates shown. These files are listed in the downloads menu as 1% complete with the message Download error 8003.
What I think happened is that my wireless connection was interrupted over night so the episodes could not down load to the ATV. Before this happened, however, the ATV synced and put them in my iTunes down load queue, where they happily downloaded and then were synced back to the ATV.
I have all the episodes so its not a big problem, but I have all this junk showing on my ATV (so a series is listed as having 12 episodes when it only has 8: I have episodes 1 to 8, plus partial duplicates of episodes 1 to 4).
Any ideas how to erase the junk from my ATV (it doesn't appear in iTunes)?Click the AppleTV device in iTunes to get the tabbed sync menus - if there aren't many tabs you may need to select to 'custom sync' on the ones available. My sync computer has failed so I can't check the exact option.
There are several posible ways to sort this, some more time consuming than others.
Those items which directly downloaded to AppleTV may have a trash can icon next to them when they're the current scrolled to item - if so you could just delete them direct from AppleTV.
Other alternatives would be to remove the sync computer from AppleTV Settings>Computers which will delete all synced data in preparation for a new sync library - it may not remove direct AppleTV downloads though - quick to try but you'd need to add the library agaim with the 5 digit code from this menu and resync stuff. Another alternative would be a factory restore, update software then add back the sync library but this is a last resort in my opinion.
Did the duplicates sync back to iTunes? If so deleting them from there may remove them from AppleTV at the next sync.
Oh, how I wish you could drag and drop files to AppleTV in iTunes, and delete/recover content from it in the same way! -
Posted the entire text from the error window, when trying to update, using the normal NON-TECHIE way to update any and all Adobe CC products, via the Creative Cloud updater installed when Adobe Creative Cloud subscription was purchased when first offered.
The following occurs, ad nauseam:
There was a problem updating InDesign CC
For more information see the specific error below.
Update Failed
Download error. Press Retry to try again or contact customer support.(49)
Here's the crux of my frustration:
(1) Customer Service is NOT contact-able, to receive LIVE help.
(2) There is NO way for me to mitigate this "Download error", being a student learning InDesign, and NOT in any way capable of tweaking folders/files here and there.
Therefore, the real question:
Given that a significant number of subscribers are having the above referenced issue with attempting to download the current update for InDesign, WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO, in order to get our contractually paid-for updates to our legally and contractually paid-for Adobe software, specifically in my case, InDesgin's current update?
Please, NO TECHNICAL mumbo-jumbo which most likely will cause the overwhelming majority of users, like me, to seriously corrupt their computer files, but rather an honest, straightforward "what to do" from real CS/Engineers working for Adobe, as to how to FIX this issue, period.

UPDATE:
Here is a way in which I think I was able to "update" my InDesign CC application:
(1) Sign-In to your Adobe Account
https://www.adobe.com/
(2) Click on the MENU icon
(3) Click on the product InDesign icon
Your browser should display the page for Adobe InDesign CC
https://www.adobe.com/products/indesign.html?promoid=KLXLU
(4) Click on the Download icon,
Your browser should now display the page to download InDesign,
https://creative.adobe.com/products/download/indesign
(5) a Pop-Up window should open, and display:
Launch Application
This link needs to be opened with an application.
with the first option to select being the CreativeCloud(URIHandler)
(5) Select this application and click OK.
What happened when I followed steps (1) thorugh (5) is that:
(a) InDesign CC(2014) was installed,
(b) InDesign CC, updated, and then
(c) InDesign CC(2014), also updated.
Why this all worked, is a mystery to me.
Looks like a separate, "new" version of InDesign, InDesign CC(2014), was installed, the existing "old" InDesign was updated, and then the newly installed Indesign CC(2014) was further updated.
A BIT MORE, when I launched my InDesign CC app, and checked to see if there were Updates Available, there in fact was an Adobe InDesign CC 64 bit (9.2.2) update.
I clicked on UPDATE and my "old" InDesign CC app was "successfully updated."
FURTHER INFO: I may have neglected to list some important info ... OS: Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center, 64-bit
Confused, I am able to launch BOTH of these apps, and hopefully I may use one of these versions of the InDesign CC app, to do some InDesign work.
Will keep y'all posted!
