Can anybody tell me what this error means it is sometimes accompanied by a message "cannot find IP address.

08-08-2008 05:47 PM I started to get the 8013013D error message when I changed the wireless encryption on my router from WEP to WPA-PSK. I would run through all the settings, input the SSID and the encryption password and then accept the PS3 defaults for the other settings. At the end I did Test Connection and the error came up. I knew the settings I was entering was correct, because I used them on my laptop to connect wirelessly. I tried a few more times, incase I had input the password incorrectly etc but always got the same error. I ran through it again, but this time I didn't select Test connection, instead I did the Turn Off the System by holding down the PS button. When I turned it back on again and checked the Network Settings | Settings and Connection Status List, all the information was there, including the IP address and DNS information. So for me, it seems the Test Connection caused the problem for me. Maybe it will help others. Cheers RDJFC Holy crap it worked!!!!!! thanks! A user has a brand new (2 weeks old) Mac Pro 3.00GHZ quad running 8GB RAM that has started acting very strangelly this morning. I will break it down as it happened...
- When logging on, it brought up the connect to server dialogue BEFORE the log on screen. It would not allow us to cancel the screen for ages, but eventually the third restart cleared that.
- As soon as we logged on, it connected automatically to the server (without prompting for any password). From within apps, it was as if the server was not there, but a second connect would make the folders available. When trying to disconnect the first instance of the server, it prompted for an admin password and then said it was unable to disconnect.
- Ran a permission repair, which cleared that issue but presented me with a far worse issue...The user can no longer connect to the server with his username; Error -14910
- I then tried a whole bunch of other usernames to connect to the server but all failed. EVENTUALLY I was able to connect using the server's admin account, but obviously this is not ideal for my user.
Other info: OS 10.4.7 on Mac Pro and Server

It is important that you keep IE updated. The information included with your question, indicates that you are using IE7; you should update to IE8 for your own protection. IE9 will not be made available for Windows XP.

Getting error 789 when trying to connect with a PC remotely via VPN

When we set up the VPN we are getting a Error 789 when trying to connect with a PC. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The utilities, provided on the CD, are not required for the PC to access the Internet through the 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn). They are only necessary for administering the base station.
If your PC is currently configured as a DHCP client, it shouldn't have any issues connecting by Ethernet. The AEBSn will assign the appropriate IP addresses required for connectivity to the Internet ... just like it does for wireless clients.

I'm trying to connect to a Dynamixel MX-28 and receive the above error when I run my VI.
The COM ports detected by the VI match the ones that I see in Windows 7 Device Manager.
Any other ideas?

The config will go right before your write. If you turn on context help (the little ? in the upper right corner) and mouse over the various things on the block diagram and front panel, you'll see how to use them.
Not really sure about a desing suggestion. An array of position knobs to be indexed accordingly?

The information from a Google search indicates the error is generated when connecting to a PC share. So this may be some kind of error generated by the NAS' operating system. In any event I cannot find such an error number associated with OS X so if it is an OS X error number then it's not publicly documented. I would still think Synology's tech support should be able to help you since it is their device. If they sent you here then they're passing the buck.

I too am having this problem and have had, for about a week now.
I've found that by logging off itunes (if I can), closing it down, and then restarting it, sometimes allows it to work for one transaction (say downloading an updated app). After that it's back to the same error.
Really annoying.

Go to Settings > iCloud > Delete Account (This removes your data from your device, but not from your account, it will be added back later).
Restart the device.
Sign in again (Settings > iCloud, don't use the 'Create New Apple ID' button).

Hi there,
I have the following error when trying to map a network drive in my home network:
"\\iomegahmd can not be reached" and the error code is 0x800704b3.
I already looked into the services, and my strong assumption is that the problem is that the service "TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper" is not statrted and it is disabled. When I try to start it, there is an error message:
"The system could not find the path specified".
I've also checked the dependency components of the service "TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper":
Ancillary Function Driver for Winsock
NetBT
TCP/IP-Protocol driver
NetIO-Legacy-TDI Support driver
in the device manager if they are running, but they are all running. The start is set to "System".
Under the TCP/IP Internet version 4 properties of the wireless device, under Advanced -> WINS Ive set Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP, but it didnt help either.
What else could I try, so that I can map network drives?
I should also mention, that the problem persist since some week ago. Before it, it was properly functioning. Also, on the other computers in my networks I do not have problem accessing the same network drive.

Its difficult to say whats wrong in your case. My first idea is: set the system to early time point before this error appeared.
I would also recommend to disable all the security software and check if you come across the same problem.
