Error 9006 when downloading rented movie

The subject basically says it all. I have been downloading movies from itunes for years but the last one I tried has been unsuccessful. The download is slower than normal and after 20-30 MB of the movie downloads, it stops, loses all progress and gives me an error 9006 and says to restart the download. I have messed with all my firewalls and configurations to allow for improved results but so far nothing has worked. Any advice or help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I was having the same error 9006 trying to download a rented movie on iTunes. I read on another board it might have something to do with Internet Explorer 8 and iTunes using the same downloader. My Explorer 8 had recently quit working but I didn't care because I use Firefox. However, I then started getting the 9006 error on iTunes. On Windows 7 you have to go to the control panel. Click on "uninstall a program", in the uninstall window go to the left column and click on "Turn Window features on or off", this will open another window with the Windows features check marked. Uncheck Internet Explorer, then restart your computer. After it restarts, go back to the uninstall programs feature again and click "Turn Window features on or off", put a check mark next to Internet Explorer and restart the computer again. This fixed the problem with Internet Explorer and iTunes started the download without any errors popping up.

I am getting Error = 9006 when downloading some Podcasts

I am getting Error = 9006 when downloading a podcast, Derb Radio on TakiMag, but not other podcasts. It started occurring recently, about 3 of the last 4. This occurs on both a Windows and Apple machine. iTunes is updated. It does not occur with other podcasts. Then end result is that the podcast does not download.
I also get a "rebuffering stream" interruption during playback on the computer.

Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006. Sometimes security software can prevent your device from communicating with either the Apple update server or with your device.
Check your security software and settings to make sure that they aren't preventing a connection to the Apple servers.

Yeah this "fix" is bunk. The movie is downloading just fine, but the extra features is the one giving me this error code. It is NOT my firewall. If it was, then both files wouldn't download. Plus, I already have the firewall "issue" tacked down and fixed. Have had it fixed for months now. No, this is due to the "new" itunes version 11 software. The only conclusion to fix this issue is UPgrading from 11 back to 10.7 which is what I am going to do. This is completely ridiculous! Come on, Apple, get itunes working once and for all, and fire the people responsible for itunes 11, just like you did to the guy who was responsible for apple maps. Thankfully Google came back to the rescue with google maps app.

Help me please, I already frustrated because this problem. When I rented movies from iTunes in my iPhone 4, i cannot download that with the message : download error, unable to download movies, "real steel" could not be downloade at this time. I already try to another network but it still like that, and I also try to rent another movie but I still get the same problem. My available storage is double than the movie size. Receiving Error 9006 when downloading Podcast

Hey guys,
I got an Error when trying to download Podcast: it will randomly stop downloading showing Errorcode 9006. 1 Podcast will always start from beginning when this happens and I press "retry", others will usually take of from where they stop and continue to their end.
What I've tried so far:
1. Reinstalled iTunes
2. Restarted Machine
3. Flushed Ipconfig
4. Checked the Host file
5. Disabled my firewall and antivirus (Kaspersky 2014)
The network and internet connection are stable and working.
Anybody got an idea?

HT203200 ERROR -50 WHEN DOWNLOADING A MOVIE.

Error -50 when trying to download movie rental. i followed the steps to delete the cache file three times. It still keeps sending error -50. I checked the network connections, also checked my firewall. All appears normal. I was able to rent two movies a couple days ago with no issies.
Now what should I do? I have spent WAY TOO much time trouble shooting this, and I have been charged for a movie that won't download. frustrating

I started to downloaded a movie but now get and error when trying to resume. On ITunes it says "downloading" when it clearly isn't. I am also unable to delete the download in the download tab on ITunes. Please help.

Can not download a movie purchased and paid for. Will load for a short time but then tap to retry. Plenty of space available

I redeemed a code in the iTunes store to download my digital copy of Les Mis. I paused the downloads (movie & extras) overnight and the next day the extras wouldn't download again because of the -50 error. The movie continued downloading with no problems. Error (-50) when trying to download rented movie?

I am trying to download a movie that I have rented (it's about 80% downloaded so far) but then it stopped. When I click on it again to refresh the downloading, I get "There was a problem downloading (Movie Title). An Unknown error occurred (-50). Please check that the connection to the network is active and try again."
The other day I rented a movie on the same network and it was fine. I'm not sure what this means or how to fix it.
