Error 9302 occured at NI ELVIS VPS-close.vi

I tried to make an analog to digital converter using labview and
elvis.My aim was to take the rms and average values of input signal
from elvis prototyping board and also to reconstruct the original
signal using build waveform vi. The example vi " RC Transient.vi" is
not working. It shows a broken arrow which connects vps-initialize vi
to device no. Also when i try to run my vi it shows error 9302 with the
message " specified refnum tyupe is invalid. For instance, you may have
connected a refnum from fgen-vi to vps-vi." On this site i got the
suggestion for error 9302 that I should check my device no. but that
seems to be alright. Can there be any other reason for error 9302? Even
when i tried to make A to D converter using fgen vi's (initialize
,close, update etc.) instead of vps vi's it shows the same error
message. Please help

It is very likely that the reason you are experiencing this problem is because you are using a M Series Data Acquisition board with the NI ELVIS.
There is a great KnowledgeBase article that explains why the courseware VIs won't work with your device, and offers replacement VIs that do work.

NI ELVIS 2.0.1 and later added support for National Instruments M Series devices. I recommend downloading and installing the latest version of NI ELVIS (currently 2.0.5).

HP Sprinter show error while running new rest as "An error has occured and Sprintet needs to close."

Hi All,
I have installed and prepared one Data Injection scenario and then have Run the test couple of times and then closed Sprinter. Then I create another Data Inject test and "DataInjextExample.xls" and have added it in "Add Data Set".
When i execute this new Data Inject Test, it shows me error with referance to a data field ('Full name of first or sole applicant") from earlier Test's Excel data sheet where as I have alreadty removed DataSet referance from the "Add Data Set".
Error message:
An error has occured and Sprintet needs to close. " type does not have property named 'Full name of first or sole applicant", so cannot dort data collection.
Please see the following error and help me with possible solution.

Hi, Once you launch Sprinter, make sure the Sprinter Agent is running.
Now go to the Notification area and uncheck the option which says "Start Sprinter Agent when Computer Starts"
Click on Reset.
Restart the computer and start working on HP Sprinter.

Unable to open blackberry world in blackberry z10 error ' an error has occurred and blackberry world must close. Try waiting a few minutes and then reopen blackberry world'

I've been receiving this error ever since u tried to back up my files on my windows laptop, and no matter what I do I can't seem to get it to work.
Is there any work around for this error? Or is there any way to reinstall app world using my browser?

A serious error has occured......a bazillion different ways.

Hello, I've seen many posts on the web about the infamous Premiere Pro "A Serious Error has occured and Premiere needs to close the program..." I've encountered this error doing numerous different things while editing my project and can never seem to pinpoint the direct cause of my error. I received the error while:
Playing footage on sequence using scrubbing
inserting a photo into the timeline
adding keyframes to a clip
duplicating a sequence
This is what I am working on:
MAC Book Pro - Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory - 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB
Software OS X 10.8.4 (12E55)
Adobe CS6 - Premiere Pro Version 6.0.2
I have numerous amount of photos that are never more than 700KB and all are either .jpg or .png. I also have .mp4 video files I am working with. I never had any issues importing the files. I worked fine on the project for a few days. Then the errors started to come.
I am pulling my hair out because each time I have to go back to an earlier version of my project to re-edit it. I'm never going to get this done at this rate. Does anyone have any techincal suggestions? Will Adobe be coming out with an update for MAC to fix this any time soon????????? Thanks.

If GPU acceleration is enabled, try disabling it. That worked for me on a very similar laptop. A developer familiar with problems in this area told me that restarting the computer resolves the problem in many cases.
Incidentally, with the crash that I encountered, we have not yet determined whether the problem is rooted in our software our on the hardware side. We're investigating in collaboration with the hardware manufacturer to determine exactly that.

Go to the computer that the HP F4280 printer is connected to.
Click on Start --> Printer and Faxes
Right click on HP Deskjet F4280 and select Properties
Click on Advanced tab
Uncheck "Enable advanced printing features"
click OK
And it works!

"Error 7 occurred at Invoke Node..." when attempting to open .vi for editing

I am attempting to open a vi for editing, and instead the vi is attempting to execute. I get the error:
"Error 7 occurred at Invoke Node in BuildTargetBuildSpecification.vi->BuildXFS.vi"
Possible reason(s): LabVIEW: File not found. The file might have been moved or deleted, or the file path might be incorrectly formatted for the operating system. Error 7 generally occurs when trying to create an executable when there is an extra instance of a top-level vi. You may need to remove the file as a support file (but leave it as the top level vi).
Are you trying to run an executable that has already been created? Unless you have already built an executable, it should not automatically run when opened. Also, was it built in a previous version of LabVIEW? Sometimes this error can be seen when you upgrade to a newer version without compiling.

I have searched the internet but most similar issues revolve around the resource center. I did find one person who just backed up the databases and provisioned a new site with success, but this has not worked. I am using the farm admin account, but all users

Project Server 2010 Task page - An unknown error has occurred

It's not a task related errors because i have alredy done an analysis of the resorce's assignments.
I have also verified IIS authentication settings as described in this
post but all had been alredy correctly configured.
We have a farm installation with two physical server:
Application Server with Windows 2008 R2, SharePoint 2010 Enterprise, Project Server 2010
Database Server with Windows 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2008 SP2

Hi,
I faced exactly the same problem: some resources try to connect to My Tasks, and get an Unknown error. No error message in ULS or Eventlog.
I hope I solved the problem, and want to share the experience here.
First, by reading this article,

the problem, by assigning a test account on them, and see that the pb happened).
So I decided to delete my project from the Published Database (and keep it in the Draft of course). Than in Project Pro, I opened and Published: the problem seem to be solved.
I don't know the root cause of the pb: maybe some SQL data were corrupted for an unknown reason.
Hope it could help some one ! Don't hesitate to give feedback if you solved this pb with this solution, or workaround.

Error 7 occurred at Open VI Reference with Application Builder

Using Labview 5.1, I am building an application where all the vi's are placed in a single .LLB file. I have one top level vi (with sub-vi's), and one vi that is opened by the Open VI command. The program runs fine with labview installed. I want to make an executable file. I select the top level vi and select the vi that is opened by the Open VI command as a dynamically loaded file. I get an error when I attempt to build the file.
"Error 7 occured at Open VI Reference in Dist Build LLB Image.vi -> Dist Build App Image.vi -> Build application.vi"

Dear Sir;
There are two things that are good to try:
First, create the application in a folder that is closer to the root directory (e.g., c:\myApp). There is a limit to the length (or depth) of the path name to your application's target directory, so, if you are choosing a too long path you might get an error.
Second: The Application Builder reads certain information from the VI in order to determine how to build the executable. To avoid possible errors, either in the build process or in the built executable, make sure the VIs are LabVIEW 5.1 VIs. You can convert your VIs to LabVIEW 5.1 VIs by using the Mass Compile feature (File >> Mass Compile) in LabVIEW before you build your executable. The Mass Compile feature will allow you to select either a directory or a LabVIEW
.llb file to compile.

Error -50400 occurred at Invoke Method: FIFO.Read in Host.vi

Hey there,
we have sensors on an Engine which are connected to a NI cRIO 9014 board (with a NI9411 6-channel digital input modul) and go from there via network to a host computer.
cRIO board: the cRIO board collects the data from the engine and stores it in a buffer, this is because the network is to slow for the magnitude of data
host computer: the host computer reads over the network the buffer on the cRIO board, on the host computer it takes out specific portions of the data to create pressure graphs of the engine
Error:
Error -50400 occurred at Invoke Method: FIFO.Read in Host.vi
Possible reason(s):
The transfer did not complete within the timeout period or within the specified number of retries.
This error occurs in the following scenario:
- engine is running
- cRIO is running
When I press the start button (boolean 3) in the host.VI to start the reading of the data from the board AFTER I pressed the run button of the host VI.
The Error would not occur if I pressed the start button (boolean 3) BEFORE I pressed the run button of the host VI.
We tried to increase the time out, but it still did not work, the error occurs!
We would be really happy if you could look over it and help us in this case! If you need further informations or if we need to clarify some specific portion, please let us know!
We included the VI's in the attachement!

There are a few things wrong in your application, if I may offer some suggestions.
First, your while loops are not running in parallel. In fact, they are in while loops with a true constant wired to them. I am not sure if this is by design for debugging, or on accident. I would put the Polling(read pulling zero elements) outside your main while loop.
Your second nested while loop (the one polling the # of elements and then pulling them out) is going to run just once, and may pull only a few samples. I don't think that is what you are looking for here, and there are a couple ways we can go here. You could continuously poll until you have 0 elements available for x amount of time, then you know you have no more samples available and you can process all the data OR you can put all of your data processing as part of that loop and just always write to file immediately as x samples are pulled.
Also, your main loop's stop condition is (i <= 3) Therefore, it will run once and then stop. Maybe you mean >=3?
Also, you have 'append to file' disabled on your write to spreadsheet, so everytime you write you are overwriting old data. If you want to continuously write, you will be losing data. This can be cured by either setting this to true(requiring a new file name or programatically deleting the old spreadsheet every time you run the vi) OR you can collect all of your data in a shift register, and only write to file once you have all your data available.
The error you are seeing is because you try to close your FPGA reference twice. You only need to close it once.
After seeing your overall picture, I think this can all be cured by simply hardwiring your Read to get your 1440X4 elements, but as we have seen, this does not work. Something is happening in your system....this is what I want you to do...run just the following code...and let me know how many elements remaining it gives you...Once the number has settled(I hope it does and your engine doesn't keep running), hit stop, and all the values will be put on a graph for you. My broken wires are because I do not have the FPGA VI.

Error 6 occurred at TDMS Open in TDMS

Hi,
I have a application that is using the TDMS VI's to generate a Logfile.
The application ran correctly for 12 days. (Each errors, and some parameters - every hours - was correctly written to my TDMS file).
Then, the following error occured :
Error 6 occurred at TDMS Open in TDMS - Write data SubVI V1.2.vi->D2XX MultiTester V1.5.vi
Possible reason(s):
LabVIEW: Generic file I/O error.

NI-488: I/O operation aborted.
I join my VI that manage the TDMS file.
The error seems to come from the VI "TDMS OPEN". The corresponding TDMS file is effectively at the specified path, and its content is OK (all expected infos are present). The file is called LogFile_0_1.TDMS.
Depending on the TDMS file size, the application automatically creates a new file. I tried to force that to get a new TDMS file (assuming that the active file was corrupted or blocked). A new TDMS file was created (LogFile_0_2.TDMS.) but only the first tab (root) was created. Then the same "Error 6 " was still present, exactly like before.
Do you think this problem can come from Windows?
Or does it come from my application? What is not optimal, is that this "TDMS - Write data SubVI V1.2.vi" is called about every second, and the "TDMS OPEN" function is called unconditionally (even if no modification on the TDMS file are needed).
How can we explain that this bug appears after about 12 days only?
I also join you the LogFile_0_1.TDMS that I converted to an Excel file, and the LogFile_0_2.TDMS that was not correctly created.

That's not just a guess, that is a very real possibility. And lets not forget the memory leaks from not closing references.
ALWAYS close ANY references you create. If you open a reference to a file, make sure you close it.

I have a .vi that was working fine with Labview 7.0. I now have upgraded to Labview Professional 8.0, and I am trying to build a stand alone executable. When I build the executable, build an installer, and then try to install it on another computer then run it......... I get the "Error 7 occurred at Open/Create/Replace File in Open Config Data.vi" error. Any ideas?

I've been using this part of the program for over a year an suddenly this error occures. But not always, mainly at the very beginning of my tests when the file should not be open.
Info: I'm using a realtime PXI-System. Maybe the amount of data can cause the problem? (about 2MB)

Hi Meike,
is the file opened by a different program? Do you try to access it by FTP in parallel to your VI?
You could use basic file functions instead of WriteSpreadsheetFile. That way you could open the file before starting the loop, keep it open all the time and close it once you're finished - with the added benefit of easier error handling…

An error has occurred during SWF generation.

We are receiving the error message "An error has occurred during SWF generation. Please contact the file creator or your system administrator" while trying to publish a dashboard to the BO server. But we haven't been able to assure the client what's causing the problem.
Here is some background about the dashboard and the error:
- It does not contain any unsupported formulas.
- It contains about 3,000 rows distributed on different tabs.
The error appears to happen randomly. I have succesfully exported the swf file locally (on my computer) a couple of times. Using the preview button also works sometimes, but when we try tu publish we get the error. We also have other dashboards, and publishing them works fine with them.
I think this might be a resources issue, the computer from which we are trying to publish has 2GB in RAM, and although it doesn't seem to be consuming all memory when trying to publish, it looks pretty close to do so.
I've succesfully deployed the swf file on locally on an other computer that has 8GB in RAM, but it is not in domain, so I cannot publish from there, and due to company's policy we cannot copy the swf files directly to the server.
I'm looking for help on the error, or for an explanation on what does Xcelsius do when generating the swf, for the tests I've run I would say it is a resources problem but I don't have a way to support this.

You can try to reduce the size and complexity in excel.
Just export your excel to local machine, open and save it again reimport the same excel.
By doing so your excel file size will get reduced. (To see the difference record the size when exported from xcelsius and after saving xls).
One more suggestion is try to reduce the complex formulas. All i can say is replace the Vlookup formulas with Match and Index.
Reduce if more countif() or Sumif() are used.
Last but not least, try to increase flashs buffer size.
Hope this might help you.
If these things are not going to work......... Last option is to increase your machines RAM.
