Error 9672 when adding wireless HP printer

I am trying to add a HP 1315 printer for wireless printing through a Airport Express. I am using a MacBook Pro. Each time I attempt to add the printer, I receive a "error -9672". I am using the most uptdate HP driver downloaded from the HP site. The computer prints without problem when connected with the USB cable. Thoughts?

Nugen!!!
I could kiss you!!!
After almost 24 hours struggling (including a 40 minute phone call to Apple support), your post got my HP psc 1110 working over my new Airport Express, many many thanks!!!

  • Getting Error -9672 when trying to add printer wirelessly

    Hi,
    I seem to be getting an error -9672 when trying to add my HP PSC 1410 wirelessly to my airport network. I've tried on my intel iMac and my mac book but I'm getting the same error. Any suggestions on how to solve this?
    ANY help is much appreciated.
    Matt.

    Unfortunately, not all USB printers are compatible with AirPort base stations. A quick look at the iFelix Unofficial AirPort Printer Compatibility List doesn't show this particular model. This doesn't necessarily mean it won't work, but simply that it has not been verified. iFelix also provides the following workaround for printers not on the list that would certainly be worth a try.

  • Error -9672 when adding printer

    I've looked on the posts, guys, and I can't find something that will help. I had a Brother MFC-201C on my Airport before, but I disconnected it and used it directly through USB. I have just tried reconnecting it to the Airport, and it is identified as a rendevous printer, but when I try to add it I get the "error -9672" problem. Any ideas how I go about getting this printer added? I've updated all the firmware of Airport.

    Try this first:
    1. Unplug AirPort Express, and turn off the printer.
    2. Disconnect the USB cable from the AirPort Express.
    3. Plug in AirPort Express, and turn on the printer.
    4. After AirPort Express finishes starting up, reconnect the USB cable from the printer.
    If that fails, read Printer troubleshooting for AirPort Extreme and AirPort Express

  • Getting an Error:-9672  when trying to add printer through airport express

    Hi everyone, I have a canon colour laser printer (LBP5000) works fine when I pop the usb straight in to the mac, but when I try setting it up by plugging the usb into my airport express I get an Error:-9672 this happens when setting up the printer in print & fax system prefs.
    I have another printer set up on a different airport express, which works fine.... could this be a problem?
    Any help would be great
    Thanks
    Lee

    Hello Lee,
    When you select the LBP5000 in the Printer Borwser > Default Browser view, the Print Using menu should automatically set. If it isn't, and you are having to manually set the printer, then that will be a likely cause for the error (which usually occurs when the wrong driver is selected).
    Try turning off the Airport Express and the printer. After a few seconds turn the printer on first and after it finishes making it's warm up sounds, turn on the Express. Now try to add the printer via the Default Browser view.
    If that doesn't help, check your Airport Express firmware version. Some previous postees have found that their problems are resolved by updating their firmware on their Airport Extreme/Express.

    Paul

  • Error -9672 when adding an Epson 4800 via Airport Express & Bonjour

    I cannot add my Epson 4800 via Printer Setup Utility connected via USB through an Airport Extreme. Windows PC's via Bonjour have no problem but my Mac is just not connecting. It correctly sees it via the add printer dialog and even recognizes it as a 4800 but when I go to add it I get the Error -9672.
    Any ideas?

    What is the printer make & model that you are connecting to the USB port of the AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn)?
    You may want to double-check this iFelix site to see if it's compatible with the AEBSn.

    I cannot get the printer to be added. Everytime it says an error occured #9672.
    I have done all the suggested options to get the printer to add. It is recognized in the add list, and does everything up to adding it to the network, but the error pops up.
    I have updated airport extreme to the newest version.

  • 9672 error when adding canon CP720 printer

    Hi,
    I'm just trying to add a printer using the airport extreme. The system finds the CANON Selphy CP720 printer and locates a driver but i get an error message "Error 9672" when I click the "add" button. Any clue?
    Thanks in advance

    The CP720 driver included with Snow Leopard is the Gutenprint version. You could look at using the Canon provided driver via the following link.
    http://support-au.canon.com.au/contents/AU/EN/0100226102.html
    If the Canon driver has the same issue, try connecting the printer directly to the Mac via USB to see if this works okay. With it connected to the USB port of the Airport Extreme, it should work fine with either driver so I am not sure why you are getting this error (usually related to communication errors). So I am curious to see if the direct USB connection works for you...

  • Error -9672 when trying to connect Officejet 5510v USB printer

    I have an HP Officejet 5510v printer connected to my airport extreme. My G4 Mini can connect and print fine. I have an Intel Powerbook that can see the printer listed as available under Bonjour, but I get a "Error -9672" problem connecting to selected printer message. It's using the HP version 3.3 all in one printer driver.

    Forgot to mention this important difference between the working G4 Mini and the non-working Intel PB - The Mini is directly connected to the Airport by ethernet cable while the PB is wireless.

  • Error message when setting up a printer

    I just received my new airport extreme (way cool). I can access the internet on both my MacBook Pro and Intel based iMac. However, when I try to add my HP Deskjet 3940 on both machines I get an error message: "an error occurred while trying to add the selected printer. error: - 9672"
    I can see the printer in the printer set-up utility and it says it is connecting through bonjour.
    What am I missing and why can't I print?

    I checked this list. I checked it twice. No HP 3940. However, my printer is listed in the printer list - "Once your printer is connected to the base station, check to see that the printer is listed in the printer list in the Print Center (Applications/Utilities/Print Center)." When I click add I get the dreaded error message.
    What's up with that?

  • Error message when trying to view/print Crystal reports in B1

    I get the following Error message when trying to view/print crystal reports in SAP B1/Crystal Reports Integration Tool for SAP Business One:
    " Could not load file or assembly 'Crystal Decisions Windows Forms, version=12.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, Public Key Token=692fbea551e1304'  or one of its dependencies.  The system cannot find the file specified.  ????

    Hi
    Common issues for this :
    1. Once you install crystall add on ,you need to go to Crystal report Administration >Account setup .
    Put on the user name and password and click on creating ext tables
    Try then running the report .
    If not the case ,
    make sure you install runtime .
    You need :
    1.Crystal report basic from SAP download -(Not necessary if you want only report viewer >
    2.You need to have crystal integration addon (I think service pack is SP1)
    3.Make sure you have runtime install
    When you are installing ,make sure you restart your PC before you do or remove temporary file s
    Hope this solves your issue

  • I'm getting a "printer error" message when I try to print a document with a lot of scans in it. Any suggestions?

    I'm getting a "printer error" message when I try to print a document with a lot of scans in it. Any suggestions?

    OK, I tried a few things, and I do not understand the results.
    1) I opened the document in Preview, and it would only recognize the three initial pages which I typed using the Pages App. It did not recognize the bulk of the text which I copied from Appleworks 6. It also did not recognize any of the scans.
    2) I tried opening a pdf in Preview, and it would only recognize the scans. (No Text!)
    3) I tried copying everything (select all, and command-c) in Pages, and then opened a blank Pages doc, and typed Command-v. This got me all of the text, but none of the scans!
    4) I was worried that my Pages app might be corrupted, but I successfully converted a similar 78-page document with copied materials from Appleworks 6 and similar scans, ant this worked perfectly.
    My conclusion is that my file must be corrupted. Is there any way to check this? shabda88

  • SDK Error -5002 when adding a sales order

    I'm getting an error -5002 when adding a sales order.
    Source code:

          line.setQuantity(new Double(3));
          line.setTaxCode("0");

    Question:
    Where can I find a list of error codes that can be easy to understand? PDF, word, etc.
    Thanks.

    Hi Diego,
    Looking at your code I see that you are doing a
    line.add();
    You don’t need to have this here unless you are adding another line to your document.
    Maybe this will help you.
    Also just because java is a bit different from VB get the last error message using
    SBOErrorMessage errMsg= comp.getLastError();
    System.out.println(errMsg.getErrorMessage());
