i m using indesign last few days my indesign not working properly
i enclosed my error report as a snapshot pl;ease help me to fix this problem this error is very irritate me to work my file is on a network

Did they also have CS4 installed, and did you uninstall it?
It sounds like you may need to uninstall everything again, then run the clean tool. (see Adobe - Adobe CS5 Clean Script)
After that, reboot, then Run MSConfig to set the sytem to restart with all non-essential startup programs and services disabled. Antivirus, third-party firewalls, iTunes, Browser toolbars, messenger programs, etc are all known to cause problems for the CS3 installers. If you want to install both CS3 and CS4 (and I would), be sure to install CS3 first. After the installations are complete you can reset MSConfig to normal startup.

Hi,
since a while (as far as i am able to roll back system log in event viewer) I am having strange issues in the sys log, as in the subject. It is a warning of disk event 51: 'An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk0\D during a paging operation.'
I have freed up 1/3 of each partition on the harddrive. Any idea where can i keep going to investigate?

I have searched a bit about you issue in microsoft technet,and here's what they have got to say
"An event ID 51 entry is a generic error entry for any type of error that occurs when Windows is paging information to input/output (I/O).
A paging operation occurs when Windows either swaps a page of memory from memory to disk, or when Windows retrieves a page of memory from disk to memory."
In this event, D, DR and FT, they all stand for a certain disk partition number. You can use the Registry or Disk Management to locate the certain disk.

some of the resolutions mentioned there require you to modify your registry.Please DONOT attempt to modify the registry if you dont have enough prior knowledge about it
Also try defragmenting your HDD once.

Hi
I have a Dell PE 2850 running Windows Server 2003 which is attached via SCSI to a Power Vault 220 SCSI disk enclosure.
The server is beeping and in the eventvwr I see the following message:
An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk0 during a paging operation.
There are no disk failure lights on the server so what is causing these errors in the Event Viewer?

PaulThe "error" doesn't have to mean that the disk is faulty, it's just that that specific write operation might have failed (for unknown reasons).
That's all the light I can shed on it after looking through my event logs, I have a few of those too, but no errors anywhere else.Best regards

here I am trying to relink the book contents from different path. While I am running this script my indesign cs2 is shutting down.

a r u lYou have a serious corruption problem someplace, or a serious conflict with some other software that is running.
If this happens with more than one document, you can start with repalcing your preferences. See Replace Your Preferences
If it's isolated to a single document, see Remove minor corruption by exporting
Another very likey cause is a corrupt or poorly made font. Run a font utility to look for font problems.
Turn off any third party Plugins for ID that you might have installed. Also try turning off your font manager if you have one.
If none of this helps, you may have to reinstall ID. -
I was working on an InDesign file, saved the file and tried to export it. I then got this message "Adobe InDesign is shutting down. A serious error was detected. Please restart InDesign to recover work in any unsaved InDesign documents" - Return to Finder. I am now unable to open the file as the message keeps appearing at every attempt, what can I do, please help?
The recovery folder is empty and you can start ID normally, correct? But when you then try to open the file that crashed it crashes again? Is that also correct?
If it is, then it sounds like the file was damaged in the original crash. I would let ID try to recover the file once, just to be sure, though. So emepty the recovery folder again, launch ID from the Dock or the applications folder, then use File > Open... to open the file (and it won't hurt to choose the "as a copy" radio button in the dialog). If ID crashes, restart it without emptying the recovery folder one time. If it crashes again, the file is too damaged to open at all.
If it does open, immediately export to .idml, then open the .idml file and save as a new .indd with a new name (so you don't overwrite what you have now).
How much work is invloved in recreating the file? Do you have any older versions? -
Indesign 5.5 a serious error was detected
We have Indesign 5.5 that crashes everytime it's starts wiht the error message "A serious error was detected. Please restart...". If I remove the plugins from the Applications\Indesign\Plugins folder it starts up with no problem. I've re-installed the plugins from the installation package and the error returns. I've copied the plugins from a working computer to no avail. There are only a few plugins that fail, but would like to keep all of them working in InDesign. I've disabled Fusion 3 to see if it was preventing it from working. Preferences files were deleted to no avail. This is definitely a plugin issue but don't know how to resolve. Any help is greatly appreciated.

How can i ensure that the harddisk3 designation is relatd with USB etxernal disk?
I have several erros in LOGs:

and
The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk3\DR7
All times are HardDisk3 and sometimes it references to DR3 and sometimes DR7
My disk structure is:
2 RAID5 arrays fomr the same disks (80GB and 2 TB)
and USB 2 TB External hard disk with several partitions
I´m 99% sure that the error is related to the external USB disk and the Dell DIag tool shows no problems with any component

I am making a book in InDesign CS5. It contains 148 different ID documents. I'm ready to make my hi-res pdf to send to the print shop, however, each time I try to make it, I get the above error message. It appears to be exporting to pdf all the way through to the last document before the message come up. I have no idea which of the documents was recovered. When I click okay to recover, nothing opens. As a side note, I had no problems with making a lo-res pdf of it.
Also I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but in the Book palette, I accidentally clicked the box to the left of one of the documents which "sets the Style Source". I didn't want to do that, and I don't know how to get it unclicked.
I'm not experienced in booking in InDesign, so I don't know what to do next. I saw an earlier discussion about this error message, but I'm not sure it applies, since my InDesign is on my hard drive, not on a server. Its on a MacBook Pro with 16GB of RAM.Your suggestion of breaking up the export to pdf into sections of pages was excellent. I don't know why I didn't think of it...maybe because I was in panic mode.
For anyone else who experiences this problem, I exported 50-page sections to pdf with no problem. I now have 7 hi-res pdfs, but that's no problem. The printer should have no problem dealing with it. No error messages came up.
The only thing I can think of is that InDesign couldn't export that many documents (148) in the book palette to hi-res pdf, and it has no error message available to explain the cause—either outside ID's ability to process or out of memory, even though I have 16G of RAM.

1. Open the visual admin at <installdrive>:\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\j2ee\admin\go.bat
2. Login is Administrator + admin-password you defined during installation.
3. Under the Server 0... node select Services->Deploy
4. Select the "Application" radio button at the bottom.
5. Check if there exists an application sap.com/tcwdtools
And the following applications are running
sap.com/tcwdcorecomp
sap.com/tcwddispwda
sap.com/tcwdtools.
Last thing was their any errors in the installation.

I hooked my ipod classic up to my mac to update it. It took for ever to detect. Than I got a message saying an error was detected that I should restore. I did. It than erased my ipod. than it synched up to itunes it said it was done and it was ok to disconnect so I did and my ipod is still blank... it said error 1433 was detected. So now I have an empty ipod that won't store anything on it.... what should I do to remedy this situation? I need my music:(((

From the error "The external code list ", it looks like ECL is not installed or not available with ecs.
1. Have you installed ExternalCodeList when you installed your Document Editor?
2. If not, install it, recreate ecs, xsd files. And rerun the transactions. That should fix your issue.

Error Message: "A virus was detected in FILENAME. This file will not be uploaded"
I have been synching files using Creative Cloud Connect for many months. During the past few weeks, I get the message "Some files failed to sync". When I click on "Learn more", it has 3 files there and all have the message "A virus was detected in filename . This file will not be uploaded". I scanned all three files with AVG and Malwarebytes (installed on my system) and both report that there is no virus in those files. I have tried to chat with support but I could not find any resolution with them. I believe that I never got to the right place. I was connected with 5 different people. At the end of the last discussion I spoke to Adobe Captivate support. It so happens that the files with that error are all Adobe Captivate files. But that support also concluded that they couldn't help. I could not find similar entries in the forums either. Did anyone else have this problem?

AngelaNo unfortunately, I have not. I spent over an hour on the phone with them already regarding this topic. In the end, the support in Adobe Captivate (that's the 5th support group they connected me to) told me that I wasn't allowed to upload Captivate files since Adobe Captivate 8 is not a CC application and that's why the problem was happening. I am absolutely sure that this is untrue since I have many Captivate files on CC. I think the key will be to get to the right support group. Good luck! I really hope you find a solution. A developer on my team is receiving the following error message while attempting to record content in SAP (specifically clicking on the status bar):

Andrea F.I just received a similar message "The message processing thread locked up. Developer will be shut down..." This occurred when I tried to end a capture session by pressing Print Screen. I was never returned to the Developer and after waiting for several minutes the message appeared. I guess I'll be submitting a ticket with Oracle as I can't find any references to this error.
