Error A12E6 Creative Cloud Desktop Install

Mac OS, 10.8.4, 16RAM
I've tried every "solution" found: cleaner app, uninstalling CC desktop, creating a new admin user, deleting the OOBE folder, etc.
Any help please?

Hi Scott,
My post may have overlapped your post. Thank you for your time. My problem has been solved. I'm glad your method worked for you. I recall seeing your fix somewhere and did try it without success. Thanks for posting! I do love how the Adobe user community steps up.
In chatting with Adobe tech support, Saravana, who solved the problem, there was no need to disable security or go to root. I had already uninstalled Creative Cloud Desktop before my message.
Saravana had me delete /tmp files first. That didn't work. Then we methodically renamed a few folders and deleted the Adobe Application Manager and a few Creative Cloud files...wish I saved the chat and then I could be more specific. Yet, others can just go to support chat and get the same help. I find this rather rare and welcome.
Installed CC Desktop while still in chat and it worked! even though it showed none of my prev installed CC apps installed. However, installing them again worked just fine. Was worried that my Lightroom DB might not be found. It was. FYI: haven't install everything just yet as of this writing. Yet, AE, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, and Premiere, my mainstay apps launch just fine.
I know that the transition to CC has caused a few problems and controversy. I'm a developer myself and understand this. Overall, I like CC much better than CS6 and before because of continual updates and a reasonable licence that allows the apps on my laptop and desktop.
However, do desire that if I chose not to subscribe after a year (Ideally because I'm in Fiji or Bali after a good gig), that my old versions would continue to work as in the old days. My only pet peave, and would lobby for this kind of functionality from Adobe. Also, maybe some kind of fair licence for hobbyists/students other than the "elements" line. Many of those hobbyists/students have turned into valued collaborators even if they were running CS4 Creative Suite Student edition that they bought 3 years ago for $300.
Best,
Geoff

Register Applications photoshop CC   Lightroom 300 baht per month Creative Cloud desktop install and load the program into Lightroom down normally open normally, but the work load photoshop program installed. Open access Like we use it to fill a 30-day trial version, serial no.

    1) WHAT if I juse JUST ONE Adobe program pretty often?
They have a single use subscription for $20/mo.  Similar to upgrading extended version every 1.5 years.
    2)  WHAT if I created projects like 2 months ago and I didn't use Photoshop for a full month.  Who assures us that with the CC series the projects are opened with the old CS ones?Or don't use it every day?
Same problem if you own it.  If upgrade price is $400 every 1.5 year that is same as $16/month.  You can choose not to update and version will be same as when you last used it.
    3) WHAT if I don't use Adobe 24/7?  and 5) Making an day-based subscription??  Same problem if you own it.  If upgrade price is $400 every 1.5 year that is same as $16/month.
    4) Adobe, do you think to be the only one making these softwares?
Competition is always a factor in market.
    6) After all this mess, you discriminate Europeans, too?
Taxes charged by Governments and municipalities are not controlled by Adobe.

  • Creative Cloud Desktop install crashes Windows Explorer and hangs

This all started with my inability to activate Adobe Acrobat on my computer after wiping the hard drive and reinstalling the OS.
I had no trouble initially downloading or installing anything from the Adobe Creative Cloud. I ran several apps and they worked (albeit in trial mode for a day or two)
And then the Initial Problem: Trying to Activate Adobe Acrobat failed to get pass the sign-in screen.
It would hang for about 30 minutes and then come back to the error that the computer's clock must be incorrect or an error with the Internet connection. (It's a standard error documented on Adobe's site that says you need to make sure your computer can really get to all of Adobe's activation servers/sites/etc. I double-checked everything in the troubleshooting list to be sure but found nothing wrong with the computer or the ability to get to Adobe's sites.
Exasperated. I went online for tech support. It was definately Level 1 support (had me checking all the stuff I had already spent an hour checking - and had already told him I tested it all).
Anyway, I spent an hour on the chat with Adobe Tech Support going through the usual stuff.
He had me check virus programs, computer clock, conenctions to Adobe sites (like the licensing servers). But nothing ever helped or worked. Then he told me to try going directly to the Adobe Creative Cloud site and trying to download and install the Creative Cloud desktop manager. I did that but it hangs when it launches the manager on the initial window with a black/grey Creative Cloud bar at the top (with the tool drop-down on the right side) but the rest of the window never loads.
After an hour of going in circles I decided it would be better to try again later with someone in second-level support.
In the meantime, I uninstalled ALL Adobe applications. There is no Flash-Player, no Acrobat Reader - nothing from Adobe in my programs list.
I then tried to download and install the Adobe Application Manager. It works up to the point where it launches the Creative Cloud Desktop tools and then hangs at the same place.
There is a Creative Cloud window with the normal black/grey bar at the top - but the rest of the window (where you would normally see and load the apps from) stays empty.
I have rebooted the computer several times to be sure it is a fresh start. That has not helped at all. One additional thing I have noticed in these multiple attempts is that when the Creative Cloud Desktop Manager installer gets about 95% done, it causes Windows Explorer to crash (not Internet Explorer but Windows Explorer). Once Windows Explorer resets, Creative Cloud continues the installation but then opens the window (above) that has nothing but the black/grey header.
I'm struggling for what to do next. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Right now I am paying $50 a month for something I can't even install or use.
For what it's worth, the system is an HP laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate x64. 8GB of RAM and plenty of HDD space. All security updates applied and Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1. I doubt that any of that last line is relevant since I could run all of this with no problem before wiping the hard drive AND it was all running with no problem - other than Activating Acrobat at the start of this whole issue.

    Jim,
You are a lifesaver! I can't think of how many additional hours of frustration you just saved me - but Thank You!!
After posting, I had determined (like you said), that Explorer must be doing that for a reason. I created a new user profile on the system (added a user temporarily) and observed the same behavior of Windows Explorer (stopping/starting) but then continuing to work as it should. At that point I knew the answer was somewhere in the user's profile but I would have had no idea where to look. The opm.db file was indeed the culprit.
I sure do appreciate the excellent help.

  • I can't get Creative Cloud Desktop installed on my new iMac

    I bought a new iMac. It's running Mac OS X 10.9.2.
    1. I backed up everything on the old mac.
    2. I uninstalled all Adobe Creative Cloud apps on the old mac.
    3. I used Apple Migration Assistant to transfer all data from the old mac to the new mac.
    4. I downloaded and installed Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop on the new mac.
    5. I clicked on the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop icon at the top of the screen. (upper right)
    6. A window popped open, save "Creative Cloud" written on a black ground, then were nothing in the window. The window is blank. I wasn't asked to accept the terms of use. There is no "home", "apps", "files", "fonts" "behance" options. There's nothing.
Everything other time I've installed Creative Cloud Desktop, the first question is to accept the terms of use. In this case, there was nothing - just an empty window. Also, the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop icon at the top of the screen is light grey. It turns black after the user accepts the terms of use. The icon at the top of my screen is always light grey.
What can I do to fix this?

Ok, got it. What did I do?
    # Uninstall Adobe Cloud Application
    # Delete the folders
    - Mac OS: /User/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
    - Mac OS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater
    - Mac OS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdaterInventory
    - Mac OS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
    # started Photoshop, an error comes up and I reinstalled the Adobe Application Manager
    # installed the Adobe Cloud Application
    # restarted the mac
    Adobe CC up and running

  • Synchronize Files error on Creative Cloud desktop

    Hi there,
I can't synchronize anymore my files with the creative cloud Desktop.
I am running Creative Cloud Windows 8.1 64 bits. My OS and my softwares are uptodate. I think it's since 1 or two CC Desktop update that i can't synchronize files anymore. Fonts are still synchronized.
    I've tryed evrything i could:
         -remove and reinstall CC desktop
         -stop synchronize, star again
-place the folder to default location
         -no file in the folder
And even with no files in it it can't synchronize lol
When i remove and re-install it works fine, i can put files and it's synchronize well. But when i re-start my comp it show "error can't synchronize"
At work I'm running Windows 8.1 64 bits CC Team and it works fine. The only difference is my Anti virus, F-secure at work, Avast at home.
I Hope you've got some ideas for me..
    Cheers

I agree... a late evening talk would be better than chat. I think I'll have to give a call next week and hopefully talk to someone that I can explain the situation.
Right now CC is working okay with exception of the files and fonts.. I'm enjoying the latest software and can see all the apps and able to install as needed. I've just recently explored the other features. Such as storing files in the cloud account.
I thought it would be easy. The website uploaded them fine and a few test files are there but I just don't see them in the CC desktop app. Also the "Turn File and Font Sync OFF" in the dropdown at
top of the app looks the same. It won't toggle when clicked on.
It's hard to determine what is current information sometimes that I'm reading on forums. I have seen where the files feature is not available yet but I'm just not sure if that was from the past or still not working. There should be a page that you can go to that is the very most up to date information and maybe there is but I haven't found it.
I was able to get Typekit font account and for a moment I thought that was going to work. It showed under Fonts in the CC app on my desktop but that's all it did was show up. The moment I tried to retrieve a font through clicking it then everything under Font disappeared and now when I click the Fonts tab it's a blank white window with the wheel spinning in the center like it's loading.
One last thing regarding the files syncing. I believe there is suppose to be a folder on your computer that it creates and that's where the files are on your computer that match those in the cloud storage. I can't find that folder on my computer. I've done a search but no folder. I'm on Windows 7. Might still go back to that feature not being available though and just part of that.
If I find something out useful I'll let you know. I'll call on Monday if I can.
    Thanks for the reply.

  • Creative Cloud Desktop Install Reaches 100% then Starts Over

With Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop, it launches and logins just fine, detects my installed apps and shows updates and all apps that are not installed yet.  When I click Install on any app, it will download, then initializes the installer.  When the installation progress reaches 100%, it starts over again with the installation progress at 0%.  I have let Acrobat XI Pro go through 5 "installations" now and each time it reaches 100% then starts over.
    Steps takens already:
    -Rebooted
    -Reinstalled Creative Cloud
    -Deleted folder: C:\%AppData%\Local\Adobe\OOBE
    -Removed everything in: %temp%
-Verified that my firewall policy is permitting all ports to *.adobe.com*/* and to *.adobelogin.com*/* (Per the Adobe IT Deployment article for URL's and Ports to allow)
-Verified there are no packet drops during the "download" that could cause a bad installation
-Verified my local security (Kaspersky) is not blocking anything Adobe related...but that does not apply since Creative Cloud is already installed and is an allowed process for all sub-threads
    Please help!
    Thank you

  • Creative cloud desktop instalation

I purchased the Creative Cloud today and went to instal the Desktop thing. When it installs, it opens it and says that it sent me a verification email to a different email than what I purchased the cloud with. An email I used to get a demo version. How do I change that email. That old email is deactivated???

You can change your e-mail address in your adobe profile section -> my information
In this section you can choose your primary email for the adobe ID and your secondary e-mail.

    Hi MistyTom,
The error 13 does look like a permission issue.
Please try logging in as a root user and install the Adobe Creative Cloud application under that account.
You can find details on how to log in as root at OS X Mountain Lion:

  • Error Code 201 and 213 when trying to install any Adobe application / Update my Creative Cloud Desktop App. Have tried troubleshooting with Online Chat Agents, no luck.

I have been trying for 2 days now to get this resolved.
Computer hashard wired internet connection, running Windows 7 Home Premium. No other issues with downloading or uploading from any other sites or programs. No other network issues reported on other computers.
It started when I went to install Lightroom through my Creative Cloud. It prompted me to update my Creative Cloud Desktop App, which I went to do and then promptly got Error Code 201. I restarted my Creative Cloud and then skipped the update, hoping it was just an issue with that specific download. I clicked to install Lightroom and the same thing happened, Error code 201.
I restarted my machine, and tried again. Same issue.
I contacted Support. They had me go in and change a bunch of folder names to and add "old" to the end of them and then had me try using the Adobe Cleaner tool, which did not work. He had me go in and change some internet settings, still nothing. Same issues as before, only now with all the renaming of things I cannot even open programs I had previously been able to open like Photoshop.
He instructed me to reinstall the CC Desktop App because the Cleaner tool was not recognizing that it existed anymore (probably something to do with renaming files.. just saying) and now I get the 201 Error when I try to reinstall the CC Desktop App.
I ran out of time and had to stop after being on with them for over an hour.
Today I contact back and was instructed to create a new user account on my computer and try downloading and installing the application in the new user. Same errors. 213 at first, restarted my computer and then got Error Code 201 again.
I am getting really frustrated and really behind on my work. Any information someone could give me would be greatly appreciated. Currently waiting for a chat person to be available again.
Thank you for your time and assistance.

Meowia for Error 201 please see Error downloading Creative Cloud applications - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/error-downloading-cc-apps.html.  Error 213 indicates there was problem locating the update or an incorrect URL.  The troubleshooting steps are still the same as both errors are related to failure of the current network connection.

  • Failed to install Creative Cloud desktop error code 1 Windows 8.1

I just recently tried to begin a trial of creative cloud in order to get access to photoshop. I really need photoshop for my school because of how powerful it is and the tools is offers. A couple weeks ago I tried to download and install creative cloud for windows 8 64-bit, and the download begins, but once it reaches around 50%, it raises an error message saying "We've encountered the following issues: Creative Cloud desktop failed to install (error code 1)". I was having problems with the internet at the time so I just naturally assumed it was the cause. So I went ahead and gave it a couple of days before I tried again. When I tried again I received the same error message at the same time. I continued to look around for a solution and trying it everyday but I have had absolutely no luck with it, and honestly am getting quite frustrated with it. I have looked everywhere for a solution, I tried the adobe clenup tool, I have checked to make sure I don't have any previous versions of adobe products on my computer, and even tried installing it as an admin in safe mode, and still nothing. I have no idea what to do next, but I know that I have to get ahold of photoshop, one way or another, and it must have the professional tools included in the creative cloud edition. Please tell me there is a simple solution and I have been blind this entire time. If there is no solution, can someone direct me to another software similar to photoshop that has access to the plug-in dDo? (I am in game development and have heard how powerful dDo is and have been dying to use it. I have also been anxious to get photoshop, but it doesn't appear to be possible without the creative cloud desktop app).
