Error Accessing SOA Pages post SOA install

Dear All,
I am fairly new to SOA product suite and have recently installed (advanced install not basic one) it in a VMware Server environment on WIndows XP.
Installation was successful and completed OK.
I am able to start the SOA suite successfully.
However if I try to access any other pages for eg: SOA Launch Console, I get an error "Page cannot be displayed".
The URL I see in the address bar is http://192.168.230.129:8888/
If I replace the ip address above with my machine name which is "windows-xp" so that URL reads as http://windows-xp:8888/ then The page does appear OK.
I have an entry in the etc/hosts file
192.168.230.129 windows-xp
If I ping this server it does not connect.
Any ideas what I am not able to access the pages correctly ?
Can someone also explain or point in the right direction as to what the various servers do and how to find their ip address if required.
Many Thanks
Shankar

This is my output from ipconfig.

  • Error accessing Dashboard page

    I received error message while accessing "Dashboards" page (under "Administration" menu) as shown below.
    This error occurs only when I go to "Data Workshop" page and followed by going to "Dashboard" page. It seems that the URL for dashboard page is incorrect.
    It's not a big issue but I wonder whether the urls for admin menu is hard-coded and the developer entered the wrong page id. ;)
    Contact your application administrator.
    ERR-1016 Application "4350" Page "3" not found (requested language="en")
    -Gary
    Edited:
    This occurs on APEX 4.0

    Thanks Gary,
    I can confirm that I reproduced the error you've reported. Thanks for outlining the steps to reproduce it, that was a great help. The link from the Administration drop-down menu to "Dashboards" is incorrect, it's going to pg 4350:3 instead of pg 4350:33. I've logged bug 9941099 to track this issue, and a fix will be available in our next release. In the meantime, as you're aware, if you click the Administration tab, you can navigate to the Dashboards via the Dashboards icon on the Administration page, pg 4350:1.
    Thanks again for reporting this.
    Regards,
    Hilary

  • Error accessing support page

    Is the support center down? I need to reactivate my account, but can't because every time I try to access support it redirects me saying that there was an error.

    Any recommendation to fix this problem and I try to create and retrieve the DVM that I have in my environment SOA 11g (11.1.1.3)
    thanks

    Actually, that's exactly what we're doing.
    Later parts of the code have to look at the fill color of each item, check its type (gradient -vs- spot) and compare it to other colors.  In order to avoid a series of 'if' statements every time, we have made a function that takes each page item and returns a path item from it so we can work with that within the rest of the code (it's easier to write all of these comparisons if your'e always expecting to get a path item, and the first path item of every compound path has properties that apply to the entire compound path..) SO...  that function looks like this:
    function getLeadItem(glPage) {   //glPage is the Page Item
        if (glPage.typename == 'CompoundPathItem'){
            return glPage.pathItems[0]    //returns the first path item of the compound path (...but does not work)
        } else {
            return glPage  (if it is a normal page item, it just returns itself)
        glPage = null
    for all of the page items that are regular path items, the code later on that looks like this:
    if(item.fillColor == '[GradientColor]'){
                selectedColor = doc.activeLayer.pageItems[y].fillColor.gradient
    But any of the compound path ones break, which is why we made the function earlier, so that 'item' would ALWAYS be a path item, and not compound.

  • 404 error access JSF pages

    Hello,
    When I was running my JSF application through the embeded Tomcat 6.0.18 server in Netbeans 6.5.1 all worked fine. After deploying the *.WAR file to the stand alone Tomcat 6.0.18 server I get a 404 error when I access the jsf pages. The default page at http://localhost:8080 work fine and so does the servlet in the same webapp as my jsfs. I tried downloading the JSF & JSTL frameworks and placing the contents of their lib directory into TOMCATHOME/lib and restarted the server - no effect

    Thnx for your reply. Not sure what Faclets are. I added the JSF 1.2 framework from Netbeans into my project. I am also an idiot :)
    The links the servlet generates to take me to the JSFs had a typo - wrong port #

  • Error when installing patch 5983191 during SOA install

    Installing SOA Suite 10.1.3.1 with 11g database (11.1.0.6)
    Following instructions in note 465159.1 (Known Issues #2) during SOA install.
    OPatch fails with:
    MISSING_COMPONENT : oracle.j2ee, 10.1.3.1.0
    This Oracle Home does not have components/versions required by the patch.
    'opatch lsinventory -detail' reports OracleAS J2EE version as 10.1.3.0.0
    Please advise.
    Edited by: Alan3 on Dec 8, 2008 3:33 PM
    BTW, this is on Oracle Enterprise Linux R5...

    I gave this a shot not really expecting it to work.
    I used OPatch version 1.0.0.0.60 and still get the same error.
    I didn't expect it to work because in patch 5983191 the actions file (etc/config/actions) has the j2ee version requirement specified as 10.1.3.1.0.
    Here's the contents:
    <oneoff_actions>
    <oracle.j2ee version="10.1.3.1.0" opt_req="R">
    <copy name="wsil-install.xml" path="%ORACLE_HOME%/webservices/lib" file_name="webservices/lib/wsil-install.xml"/>
    </oracle.j2ee>
    </oneoff_actions>
    The SOA install includes j2ee version 10.1.3.0.0 NOT 10.1.3.1.0.
    Patch 5983191 is incompatible with this SOA install.
    What next?
    Is there a j2ee upgrade patch that I can install BEFORE installing 5983191? If so, it's not in the documentation...

  • Popup window error : You are trying to access a page that is no longer..

    Hello guys,
    read all the threads related to popup windows and everything works fine except one thing: all the time I get following error :
    "You are trying to access a page that is no longer active.
    - The referring page may have come from a previous session. Please select Home to proceed."
    Let's define setup I did :
    1. page installed and should be fine, some controller created as well;
    2. new function defined using following params : Type = SSWA jsp function, web HTML = OA.jsp?page=/xxcompany/oracle/apps/icx/por/req/webui/xxPage
    3. function added to menu used in particular responsibility
    IF I define some Promt for this menu entry, I can access this page following way : OA_HTML/RF.jsp?function_id=25860 - everything works fine but I need to get it in popup window
    Fine, popup window URl (no problems with popup window at all) : OA_HTML/OA.jsp?page=/xxcompany/oracle/apps/icx/por/req/webui/xxPage return mentioned error message.
    Fine, let's try this : OA_HTML/OA.jsp?OAFunc=XX_FUNCTION return same error again.
    What else I tried? Well, post params like resp_id and so on = nothing helps so far.
    Something missing in setup?
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
    is it a seeded page or a custom one?
    In the first case, have you extended the root AM?
    I had an error like that when I tried to extend the root AM in a seeded page, before to know it was not possible.
    Bye

  • Business Rules Decision Service Error using SOA Suite with the WebLogic

    Hi,
    We are working with Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 on WebLogic 9.2. We have some decision services that work properly on Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 with Oracle Application Server. Following http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12524_01/core.1013/e13058/weblogic.htm, we have made necesary changes and deployed bpel process and deployed manually Decision Services EAR Files on Weblogic.
    When we invoke decision service from BPEL proccess next error appears, Could anybody help me to knows if this is a product installation/configuration problem or there is a failure on my ear rule file?
    Any help would be appreciated. Regards,

    Hi Boris,
    Looks like you have not run the post upgrade script for 10.1.3.4.
    You need to install SOA 10.1.3.4 Basic Installation. Then start following : http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12524_01/core.1013/e13058/weblogic.htm#BHCIIBFB
    You basically, first install 10.1.3.4 basic SOA install, Apply the Opatch 7337034 (HOTPLUG: SOASUITE 10.1.3.4 ON WEBLOGIC 9.2 - CHANGES FOR HOTPLUGGABILITY). Install WLS 9.2 MP3.
    Now, Download the Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 WebLogic Server 9.2 : patch : 7490612.
    Then , Modify the following mandatory installation properties in the Weblogic_SOA10134_Base\SOADomain.properties file as per the documentation above.
    Cheers

  • "One or more field types are not installed properly. Go to the list settings page to delete these fields" while accessing website pages

    We have a publishing website in SharePoint 2010. There are total 4 environments - Development, Test, Stage and Production. For some enhancements, we had to create some new lists and libraries. When we moved changes from Development to Test environment, everything
    worked fine. Relevant lists and libraries in lower environments were saved as templates (in .stp format) including content, imported to higher environment, lists/libraries were created in higher environment using imported templates.
    Things worked fine from Development to Test. We did similar exercise from Test to Stage environment. Now in Stage, when we access some pages, we get error message - "One or more field types are not installed
    properly. Go to the list settings page to delete these fields.". ULS logs don't tell which exact list has got problems.
    On searching for this error, I got many articles that explain how this could happen when we migrate from SharePoint 2007 (MOSS) to 2010. Though our case different (as all our environments are in 2010), we still tried following steps.
    De-activate 'SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure' Site Collection feature
    Go to https://site-name/relationships%20list/allitems.aspx. This is a hidden list. Delete this list.
    Re-activate 'SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure' Site Collection feature.
    Make sure that new hidden list with one item is created at https://site-name/relationships%20list/allitems.aspx
    However, this didn't help as we are still getting same error message. Appreciate if someone can suggest how this issue can be resolved.
    Following are ULS logs:
    Unable to execute query: Error 0x81020014
    One or more field types are not installed properly. Go to the list settings page to delete these fields.
    System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: One or more field types are not installed properly. Go to the list settings page to delete these fields.

    Thanks!

    Hi Shrishail ,
    Some time this issue occurs if you have any custom filed types in the list or library and that field type is not installed on server .
    Can you please check that if you are having any custom field types column on the list and library and if that is the case you need to install that field type on the server. sometimes it happens if field types are not properly deployed / Installed then
    you have to uninstall that field types (retract solution) and deploy it again.
    Thanks,

  • Error 403 Reported when trying to access web page through a program.

    I was writing a program for fun, to try to download a web page, pdf or anything from the web. The program works fine when given local file system path in URL and also works well when i tried to access a page from the tomcat installed on my machine but gives a error 403 when tried to access URL's outside the system. Tried to read about 403, seems that many sites does not allow to access a particular URL directly using the directory structure, you have to pass thru different hyperlinks before reaching resource.

    I´ve seen those load problems under VMWare and on boxes hosted as Xen VMs.

  • Username password error when ifolder admin access admin page

    OS: SLES 10 SP4 i586 + online updates
    OES2 SP3 + online updates.
    Today, I was configuring a POC demo of iFolder to a customer, and faced the following:
    iFolder configured with MS AD 2003, and initial configuration(simias-server-setup, ifolder-admin, ifolder-web) went smooth, without errors. But I can't login via ifolder admin(ifadmin) user when accessing Admin Page(http://ip/admin) I got incorrect username password error.
    As already informed, that iFolder configuration went smooth(error free) and iFolder Administrator account, plus iFolder Proxy accounts are all available in MS AD 2003, also I have provided the
    appropriate DN during configuration(but still I am getting 'username password' error when accessing admin page).
    logs says following:
