[Error]: "After Effects can't continue; sorry, After Effects has crashed ... (0 :: 42)"
Hello, I am thoroughly enjoying not being able to get work done, but I would love to get my work done ._. This error message came up today with no reason, speaking that I did plenty of work on AE yesterday. Before this happened though, I got "ERROR CODE: 16" (Real creative), which would not even let AE start initializing. I fixed that and then I got this error. So I decided I would simply re-install the application (AND ALL MY PLUG-INS), but now I just get this stupid error. Without "ERROR CODE: 16". BUT, to make things more ammusing, I get a message saying that Quicktime is not installed. BUT IT IS! I reinstalled that and still get that pop-up. So, how do I fix this program that is broken with errors?

hi okay on one of my computers i go to open after effects and it says after effects has crashed please see error report error 1 then later :41 then i go to uninstal it and it loads and stops it wont uninstal. please help.

we all like fonts... alot.. sometimes we like it so much that we install every font we find kool, but after effects has a little bit of problem
caching most of those kool fonts ( i have 3,037 ).
what i did was booting my pc using HIREN'S BOOT CD in mini windows xp, download or if you have a backup of the basic xp fonts ( like me )
go to your windows folder in c: and cut and move the font folder to other drive and replace it with the basic one, reboot and voila! it worked

Trying to upgrade server 2012 with RDS role on it, to server 2012 R2.
It stays for a while on step "Collecting files, settings, and applications 0%"
and then returns the error:
Error upgrading: Setup can't continue. Restart the computer and restart Setup. When prompted, try getting the latest update
Installed all the latest updates, rebooted, also tried to to run setup with local admin, still the same.
Setup logs contain user profile related errors:

I've looked at the Microsoft support info and it doesn't reveal anything new. I looked up the eM Client software and have decided to give it a try. I've been using Thunderbird and Gmail for years, but the issue of keeping contacts in snyc accross platforms led me to try Outlook as supposedly compatable with iCloud. Thanks for eM Client tip. It seems to work well and I'll be testing it for the next few weeks. While I'd still like to be able to solve the issue with Outlook (I'm not used to being defeated by software), I've got plenty of other things to keep me busy and a working solution is the priority here.

I've had Encore CS5 for 1 1/2 years and have only used it twice. This third time, I started getting an error message when I try to edit on one of the menu templates provided by Encore. First message is PhotoShop File-1 and then "Sorry, Abnormal Condition has been detected. You have one chance to save your work (use a different file name to save it under)
I don't own PhotoShop and have only JUST NOW installed an elements version. I use a MAC with OS X 10.9.5. I have never had a virus or any other issues using Adobe products, including my Premiere CS5. Even when I bring in my own menu artwork, I still receive the same error messages. I tried updating Encore. I am at a loss.@One of the first issues we saw here with Mavericks. Appeared to be more of an issue with Encore 5.0 and 5.1 than 6. But I believed users found a way to fix this. We did not get enough reports back.

Regardless of being in development or not, "Captain Obvious" is is correct and the working .muse file is lost, meaning that you will have to start again from scratch.
All the BC will contain is the published HTML and support files, not the .muse file which you would require to recover the site design.
Might want to look into Time Machine or another automatic, timed backup source while you work. -

Since then, every web page that makes use of the Adobe Flash plugin shows me grey windows with the message "Adobe Flash plugin has crashed".
When I follow links telling me I can find out more I am taken to a Firefox Help page that shows an example of the same grey window with the same message. But there is a difference: directly under the "Adobe Flash plugin has crashed" message is shown a another message that says: "Send crash report". The Help page instructs me to click on that message because it is intended to be a link.
Unfortunately, on all the grey windows displayed to me on any site where this problem arises, no such message: "Send crash report" is present. So how can I send a crash report?!You have the Ubuntu-specific build of Firefox - released as a package in the Ubuntu repository - and that has been built without including the ''crash reporter''.

Hey all.
I've recently been getting the aforementioned error message, and from what I've gathered from my reading into the problem it's probably the most generic AE error message there is. Fun. If it makes a difference, it always appears when AE is initializing the User Interface. I haven't tried all the other programs yet, but Photoshop CS2 seems to load up without a problem, as does Premiere Pro 2.0.
I'm running AE 7.0 as part of the Creative Suite Production Studio Premium (Student Edition), 2GB of RAM, and am running on a Gateway MX6640b (?) laptop. And I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to the technical side of computers, so my apologies if I haven't listed all the relevant specs of my laptop.
I haven't been able to pinpoint what may have caused this problem (I guess that's pretty evident), but I've tried a ton of stuff to try and get it sorted. I've ran multiple disk checks (which have thrown up a bunch of unreadable files, all of which have now been fixed. Though it seems to always find another bad file cluster each time I run it), defragged the hard drive, updated my video drivers, reinstalled AE7 as well as uninstalling and installing it, installed the AE Render Engine, ran the Adobe Updater, and uninstalled and installed the entire Creative Suite. I haven't installed any new fonts since I last used it (I've read that incompatible fonts may cause this error message). And now I'm at a real loss about what to do.
Incidentally, by running the "Install After Effects Render Engine" program, it actually threw up more error messages when AE was starting up than before despite the fact that it claims to fix bugs / corrupt files etc. For some reason it couldn't find any of the palettes (Audio, Tool, and the like) - but I sorted that out when I uninstalled and reinstalled AE.
Any help is greatly appreciated.You can run AE without OpenGL capable hardware, so that shouldn't be the cause of your problems. It's probably either a corrupt preference file or QuickTime installation.

The "Render Engine" is a version of AE that can be used on unmanaged machines that collaboratively render a project over a network. That's why it doesn't have all the options. It can't be used for anything other than rendering.
Make sure you enable "Show hidden files/folders" in Windows XP's view preferences. See my blog post for other ways of deleting the preferences.

Hello everybody. First i'm french and my english is so bad, excuse me for my language !
Ok i've got a iMac 27" buy in the end of 2009, with ATI Radeon HD 4850. I'm photographer and i use this mac for Lightroom and Photoshop first. I never have any problem with this mac but last week, during my work, my screen freeze. I restart with force the machine, and after the logo apple, many strange pixel and vertical straigt white and grey. So i restart my mac and i try all solution and the boot : C touch, D, Option, NVRAM, verbose, single ... always freeze with the strang pixel. The only way who work is the Shift touch : Mac OS X Mountain Lion started but so slowly and with graphic acceleration problem, no video youtube, no flash on the web.
So i did my backup with tome machine and i wanted to reinstall the OS ... but the Option touch at start up don't work ... i try the cmd+R command and it work !!! Mac OS Mountain Lion downloaded, installed and my iMac work !!!!! Yeahhhhhh ! Everything works .... one day !!!! On my facebook page, the bug come back, screen freeze. I sream a lot, and i restart by force the iMac and now, the big problem ...

I tried everything i know and every couple of touch at startup : C, D, cmd + R, cmd+option+R+P, option, T, S ... i'm lost in this problem, i can't reinstall the OS like the first bug, i can't enter in the single mode, i can't boot on a usb key or a Dvd, i can't use the target mode in order to repair or format the hdd ... I am in the world of apple since 9 year, and it's the first time i have got a problem with the apple device.

Sebastien, Toulon, France.So, some news ! I finally format the HD by the disk target mode with an other iMac. After formating, booting from a USB key to install Mac OS X Mountain Lion: Install Mac OS X Lion Mountain successful the computer starts correctly , without display bug , no lag , no loss of fluidity ... In short, I think I have solved the problem. But after a few minutes of use , the screen is frozen , the machine is blocked , the computer no longer met again. Cannot save form error after form has been created
I've created a form and fucntions well.
It has been saved as a interactive pdf.
When people with just the acrobat reader open the file and click anywhere on the form a window pops up stating that
" you cannot save form..." then the OK button appears
You are able to enter data into the fields and print, but can only save the form as a blank copy.
Any help would be much appreciated.You need to reader enable the form in Adobe Acrobat. Click on Advanced >
Enable Usage Rights in Adobe Reader and Click Save Now. You can then save a

LMS Campus Manager User Tracking and LLDP
I haven't been able to find a definitive answer on whether User Tracking can complete its discovery using LLDP (802.1AB) instead of CDP. My WAN provider only supports LLDP. If anyone has successfully used LLDP for this purpose I'd appreciate a reply
