Error after importing report

Hi all,
I created a Discoverer report on one instance. One new folder (joined with two old folders) and one new workbook was created. I exported the the following files:
1) business area definition
2) old folder joined with new folder
3) old folder joined with new folder
4) new folder.
5) the workbook.
Before I run the installation script I deleted the the old folders from new instance where it was supposed to be moved. The report is working fine on old instance. I run the installation script and it worked properly (no error in any installation log), now when I run the report i get the error message.
Cannot join tables used in the workbook. Item dependency ".................join shown here........................." not found in EUL. EUL on both the instances are same and one instance is replica of other but when I move the report to that intance it start giving error.
Can anybody tell what am i doing wrong? What could be the error?

Well, I am confused. I don't understand your export step 2 and export step 3 (which seem to be duplicates as well, for some reason).
My normal approach would be to export the business area (step 1) and then export the workbook (step 2). I also don't delete objects out of the target instance. Whether that deletion is leading to your problem, I do not know. Would think not, but could be wrong.
By trying to export selected objects in the EUL as your approach instead, it is possible that you may have missed exporting an object that you needed to export. I am saying that is a possibility - not saying it actually happened. Oracle documentation is not clear on what they mean when you select "business area definition". I doubt this is the issue actually, but I could be wrong to think that.
If you go into Discoverer Administrator in the new instance and select the business area that is involved with this problem, what do you see? I am thinking to look at the join definitions you see for the old folder, and the join definitions you see for the new folder. Write down what you see. Then log off and log into the old instance. Look at the join definitions for both the old folder and the new folder. Are there any differences? You may have to actually look at the join properties for each join on each folder as well, looking for a difference. Especially if maybe you have an internal id difference between the two instances.
Are you sharing folders among business areas? That could be an issue if you are. I started out doing that, only to stop when I ran into problems with promoting from development to test. What can happen is this. Create new Business Area A. Populate iwth folders. Create new Business Area B. Use share folders function to populate with some (but not all) of the A folders. You also create some new folders for B, and join shared folders to new folders in B. A also has joins between shared folders and folders not shared. Shared folders carry the joins across business areas. So if I promoted B before A, I would get an import error because I was trying to import a B folder that had a join to an A folder that did not exist in the EUL. Not saying that is your problem here, but that is why I ask if you might be sharing folders across business areas.
It sounds like either you are missing something (either from the delete or not being exported) or you might have an Discoverer internal id problem, is what I am thinking off the top of my head. Do you have the EUL business area and workbooks installed? If so, you might try using those to see if you can identify the issue. Otherwise this may be a situation where you need to log a service request with Oracle support. It may take someone who can look at your actual data tables to figure out what is going on (something we on this forum cannot do).

Importing After Effects document to Premiere Pro errors: "The importer reported a generic error."

I´m using Premiere Pro CC ver 2014.1. and After Effets 2014.1.1. in OS X Yosemite. I can't import After Effects project to Premiere.
There is always same error message: "The importer reported a generic error."
I have tryed to save After document several different names and greate new ones. Always same error. Whats wrong in my workflow?

Okay so I've searched around most of this forum and as much of Google as I could find - I have found similar problems, but nothing exactly the same; and none of the solutions I've found have worked for me. I've seen a lot of people having trouble connecting to the DL server on the file-selection window, but I don't even get that far - an error message just pops up in the middle of my screen - and my error doesn't mention a server, just that it can't connect to AE DL.
I changed firewall software (which I've wanted to do for months, anyway) and still to no avail.
As for the "The importer reported a generic error" problem also, I can't find any problems or solutions with After Effects files not being able to be imported.

ERROR: The Importer Reported Generic Error

I just purchased PE 10 about 2 weeks ago after trial version which I installed on separate machine and utilized for Photoshop. I purchased it, because of Adobe's trusted reputation. I installed purchased copy in high end machine containing Corsair 120 Force GT SSD Sata 3 root drive with 2 additional internal 500 gb each storage drives. One WD & Seagate Barracuda at 7200 rpm.
Photoshop portion works without any glitches. PE10 reports said error message upon attempts at 95 percent of my .vob, .TS & .wmv files, which should be compatible as stated by Adobe. I am able to open same files on Windows Movie Maker and WMP.
I contacted Adobe support and was disconnected during troubleshooting by Adobe rep. Second attempt lead me to a rep who did not really have any answers or resolve. His explanation was to keep looking for files which would open only on the root drive as network drives, logical drives and external drives are not supported by Adobe. I complied and copied files to C: Drive at his request to no avail. Problem persists.
Basically, you need an enormous: Drive to accommodate the huge amount of space videos & photos normally capacitate. In my case, over 469 gigs.
Maybe it's me, but you would think Adobe would consider the fact no one in their right mind would relegate pertinent data to root drive as it is where the OS resides, thus is susceptible to crashes and data loss. Yes, OS should be partitioned separately from data, but anyone who really knows hardware, ie: hard drives, would be fully aware the entire drive can become unstable and usuable due to OS crashes.
Questions:
Why has Adobe not taken a closer look at what appears to be a proprietary issue as opposed to informing its customers that their files are corrupt?
Why does Adobe not offer fixes\resolves to importing (Get Media) issues such as addins, plugins, hotfixes, possible Codecs and\or conversion software when this is in fact their responsibility when advertising claims of compatibility with said files?
Why does Adobe not support importation of files residing in NAS External Drives and internal logical drives, as this is the direction of the end user home industry?
Has anyone in these forums actually been able to resolve ERROR Message: "The Importer Reported Generic Error"?
Please feel free to answer and\or comment on my statements\questions as I am simply a customer looking for resolve and would be more than willing to retract what I have mentioned here for some real support from Adobe.

I have never had any problem, when Importing files from my NAS, but found early on, that it was too slow a process to use and edit effectively. Same for other mapped networked drives. After those initial tests, I just altered my workflow. I still use my NAS to archive my Assets, but will Copy those to my "media drive" (my D:\ on my system). My Project files are on my E:\ drive, and only my OS and programs are on C:\. Note: those are all physical HDD's, and NOT partitions. That layout works 100% for me. In my case, it was not a inability to use the NAS, or mapped networked drives (for Assets ONLY), but the speed of the gigabit (dual in my case) network being too slow for me to edit comfortably.
Premiere (both PrPro and PrE) work best with at least two physical HDD's, and even better with three.
Where Premiere has issues with networked drives will usually be where one has mapped My Documents to a networked drive, or where the user has located the working files (Scratch Disks) to a networked HDD. That situation can create issues.
I have never encountered any "Importer" error messages, and really do not recall seeing others with that issue, so cannot help there.

Premier Pro Error "The importer reported a generic error"

Good Afternoon, Im having an issue with my Mac and adobe premier's dynamic link towards after effects. Every time I try to copy a sequence in and replace it into Adobe After effects composition from Premier I get this generated error, "Replace With After Effects Composition, The importer reported a generic error". I have tried various ways to trouble shoot this, from re-installing to deleting caches and It still doesn't seem to work.
I do have all updated versions of Adobe Premier and After Effects.

Hi, PringleTheOne, Your problem is that your project after effects (CC or CS) has not been converted to CC 2014 size.
When a AE project is opened in AEffects CC 2014, he asks us to automatically convert.
Then, when you open it in Premiere Pro CC 2014 , there is no error message.

PremierePro PC 8.2.0 (65) replace footage causes error "The importer reported a generic error"

I tried everything multiple PC's and windows installs, goggled every support site available for answers to no avail so far.
The following is tested on a brand new and untampered win8 install (all win8 updates included)
Trail and fully updated versions of Premier Pro 8.2.0 (65) and AE 13.2.0.49 are the only two programs installed on to the PC.
The problem.
Create a new project in Premiere Pro
I make a single sequence
Add a single Black video item to the sequence
Now pick the black video item in the Premiere project Bin area, right click it and choose "Replace footage"
Then the browser opens and I pick a After effect project file (.aep) that I prepared earlier.(the most simple AE project file I can make, consisting of a single Comp with a shape drawing in it)
When I click the Select button to confirm my choice of .aep file a window immediately opens that says "The importer reported a generic error".
Next I am back in the PP bin and the black video item has turned "off line".
This option / featured executed in the 100% similar way works as expected without errors in an old CC6 setup.
Please help as the this is an very useful feature that needs to be fixed/work.

No key frames what so ever.
The AE project I refer to, only involves a standard hdtv 720p comp with a text element or a simple shape drawn. (Actually I am pretty certain that an empty comp will yield the same result)
The problem is consistent no matter if it's the most simple AE project I can possible make or a complexed project with many comps in it.
Personally, I am pretty sure the potential bug is isolated in PP and has nothing to do with AE. The reason why I believe so, is that when I try to pick large AE project the error message pops up much quicker than the time it takes to loads and analyze the AE .aep file.
Please before you go, can you tell me wether or not you get the same result when doing a simple test as I described in a somewhat similar set up.
And please pass the information on to the developer team. (I have already written a bug report) but I am desperate for a quick fix to this issue, so any help bringing their attention to the problem is much appreciated.

Error after import external webservice(RFC) wsdl url to Process Composer

Hi all,
I try to use RFC webservice in my BPM as below:
1. Expose RFC as webservice using CAF (import external service RFC and then create application service use this external service)
2. Define Destination in NWA.
3. Create a Process Composer project, and import the external webservice(RFC) wsdl file as service interface in the project.
After importing, i get error : the port type specified for the ...binding is undefined. Check port type name and ensure it is defined.
If i import another external service, not RFC (such as business object), there is no error.
My system is NWCE 7.11

Error while importing Reports and Plans

I am migrating baseviews,metaviews,plans,dataobjects and reports from one repository to another. I have used SARPUTIL utility tool to export the baseviews,metaviews,plans.Icommand utility to export dataobjects and reports.Everything is fine so far. I have imported baseviews,metaviews,plans using SARPUTIL in the target machine.I could see metaview in Enterprise Link.But i could not find Plan and Baseview in Enterprise. When i got EL Admin i could find everything that means everything is imported well. How can i view the imported plan in Enterprise Link?
When i m trying to import report using icommand i m getting the following error.

Color/Picture Error After import to LR4.4

After importing RAW FIles from my 5D3 into LR4.4 on my (fresh installed) win7 PC it looks like this:
has anybody seen that before and/or has an idea why? I tried it with the same files on a actual mac and there were no problems at all.

for now i can rule out the CF Card.
i used the same reader, but i'm not 100% certain for now, since i sometimes have to plug it in twice on the mac (but yeah that could be a prob with teh mac as well). i test it with another one tonight. also another hard disk as destination.

Receive an ORA-01403: no data found error after importing

After making changes to an application and exporting it and importing it into another applications (copy of the app) on the same server I recieve this error.
Error Single Sign-On Procces Failed
However if I export and import the application to a different server it works fine.
This is done in APEX

I asked you before to provide the versions of every major component in your configuration (apex, database, etc.).
After making changes to an application and exporting it and importing it into another applications (copy of the app) on the same server I recieve this error.Is it relevant that you made changes to the application or does this problem manifest itself with unchanged versions of the application that you export and then import/install into the same apex instance? Did you install it in the same workspace or a different workspace?
If you can install the application into your workspace on apex.oracle.com we might be able to find some clues.

From your system component information, EA-HR still in SP 00.
You are recommended to import SP for EA-HR ehp2 once installed EHP2 package.
You may try to import support package for EA-HR and let c if it works.

Navigator display returns error after import

I am able to run the export/import successfully (while attempting to transfer an entire application from one instance to another).
However, when I browse through the Navigator on the target instance, I get this error:
An unexpected error ORA-01422: exact fetch returns more than requested number of rows occurred when executing default_action action of the APP datasource. (WWC-38130)
Any ideas?

I am sure, It created another provider, with same name.
Easiest solution for this problem would be restore backup, remove providers from destination which you are planning to import from source.
I know this is not the solution anybody is looking for, but after spending good time to look for tables where the providers are stored & other referencing entries in different tables.
It will take you for ride. If you want to go for one.

Background - I am using powershell to manage Active Directory, Exchange and Sharepoint Online user data. I have an SSIS package that dynamically builds arguments passed to powershell scripts for creating new and updating existing AD user data, adding/updating
necessary security and distribution groups for each user, enabling exchange mailboxes, and passing custom attribute data to Sharepoint online user profiles.
In effort to maintain the purity of the SQL server running the SSIS package, dynamic sessions are created to servers having the modules necessary for import. This allows me to do all of the things mentioned above without having to install the different modules
on my SQL server.
My final hurdle is automating the Office 365 licensing. To script licensing assignments I create a session to our server having the necessary MSOnline module and import it giving me access to the Cmdlets, like Set-MsolUserLicense. However, before I can use
the Cmdlets I have to connect to the MSOLService.
When I run Connect-MsolService, the credentials modal pops as expected, the appropriate credentials are entered (which have been verified a thousand times over), and I receive the error shown above.
These commands all work fine when I run them from the server where the MSOnline cmdlets are installed, but return the error when run post successful import-module on my SQL server.
Here are the commands used for establishing the session and importing the MSOnline module -

Thanks, Malar. We'd hope to accomplish the connection without having to install anything locally. However, after much trial and error and discussion with Microsoft support team we settled on that the components must be installed locally to work.
So, we finally gave up attempting to use the tools from a remote server, installed the MSOL sign-in assistant and the Azure Active Directory module for Powershell locally and were able to complete the connection.

Errors after generating report to PDF

BUG REPORT:
Using Reports 10.1.2.0.2, the following error is generated when running a report immediately after having generated the same report to a PDF file:
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
FROM CIMSMGR.==> CTVCORT
It seems as if Reports has 'disconnected' from the data source. A work around is simply connecting to the data source again (without first disconnecting).

Error after importing PAR file into NWDS

Hi Experts,
I have imported a par file into my NWDS worlspace . While building the project it's giving the following error .
import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse can't be resolved .
While i am organizing the importa , the same import is getting deleted and i am getting a new error as follows .
The project was not built since its classpath is incomplete. Cannot find the class file for javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest. Fix the classpath then try rebuilding this project.
jdk1.5 has been configured correctly inside NWDS and i have tested it also .
Can anybody help me out regarding this .
