Hi,
We are not able to access one of our Business Object Web server ( using IBM web Sphere) thur web browser.
While checking the log in the server i find the error message " ERROR An undefined exception has occurred in the plugin" please can anyone explain about the error massage. Thank you.

The hotfix you said is for Microsoft SQL Server 2008. So it will not work on your scenario since you are using SQL Server 2008 R2.
Based on the limited information, we cannot give you the exact reason that cause this issue. In order to narrow down this issue, you can apply the latest Service Pack and Cumulative Update as GregGalloway said. Besides, you can troubleshoot this issue by
using the Windows Event logs and msmdsrv.log.
You can access Windows Event logs via "Administrative Tools" --> "Event Viewer". SSAS error messages will appear in the application log.
The msmdsrv.log file for the SSAS instance that can be found in \log folder of the instance. (C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSAS10.MSSQLSERVER\OLAP\Log)

Security Plugin erro: an error has occurred in the plugin,

When I was using Report Design to connect to the repository (BusinessObjects Enterprise server), I've got an error message.
(Security Plugin erro: an error has occurred in the plugin, but the plugin is unable to return a detailed error message".
Client version: CR Professional, 11.5.8.826
Server: Central Mangement Server: 11.5.8.826
Any suggestion?

Error "A web exception has occurred during file upload" when trying to import ESXi image file into Update Manager

I'm encountering this error and not sure how to fix, I'm quite new to vCenter so please bear with me.
I'm trying out vCenter 5.1 with Update Manager 5.1 right now. No license key has been entered and I still have 50 odd days to try it out.
2 ESXi hosts are being managed by this vCenter, and they're both running ESXi 4.0
I'm looking to use Update Manager to try to upgrade the ESXi 4.0 hosts to ESXi 5.1
I downloaded the image file VMware-VIMSetup-all-5.1.0-799735.iso from VMWare website, and is looking to import it using the Update Manager so I can update the ESXi hosts, but I keep on getting the error:

Failed to transfer data
Error was: A web exception has occurred during file upload
I tried importing it by using vSphere client to connect to vCenter server both remotely and locally, with firewall disabled.

I've disabled firewall, and there is no anti-virus program on the server. I've also restarted the machine several times, to no avail, I didn't reinstall update manager because the whole Windows and VCenter installations are clean from scratch.
I logged into the vSphere Client using Active Directory credentials, and I've made all Domain Admins (which my account is a member of) part of the administrator group on the vCenter server. I can't log in using admin@System-Domain because it tells me I don't have permissions for it, I still haven't really had the chance to figure out why that is and not sure if that makes a difference.
Also, I'm fairly certain I'm using the right image file, as I've burned some DVD's used that image file to upgrade some other ESXi hosts. Unless there's a special image file I need to download?
I'm at lost on what I can do to make it work. Please advise.

The ISO file you mentioned is the one for vCenter Server. What you need is the "VMware-VMvisor-Installer-5.1.0-799733.x86_64.iso" (or VMware-VMvisor-Installer-201210001-838463.x86_64.iso) for the ESXi host.

BPC MS 7.0 Error: An unhandled exception has occured: COM object

Hi all,
While doing any BPC Administration task such as processing dimensions from clinet, I get this error in a dialog box:
"An unhandled exception has occured in your application. COM Object that has been separated from its uderlying RCW can not be used"
Application exits after this error. I am getting this error for last few days. I am using Office 2003.

Just to be on the sefe side, I would advise removing the admin client and then re-installing it. You may have had an update occur that has impacted the client and its abilities. This would be my 1st step to evaluate the issue.
Do you get this issue for all actions in the admin client? The other option, if this is only related to the processing of dimensions, is to enter the MSAS on the server and process the dimensions and applications. Then return to the client and try the admin operations again, in case something is out of synch.

Based on my knowledge, the error “unhandled exception has occurred in your application” always happens along with the following message when installing SQL Server 2008 R2:
“An error occurred creating the configuration section handler for userSettings/Microsoft.SqlServer.Configuration.LandingPage.Properties.Settings: Could not load file or assembly 'System, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089'
or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. “
If you encounter such issue, please perform the following steps to solve it.
1.Go to your app data directory by going to start > run > %appdata% .
2.This will by default take you to the "roaming" folder, go up one directory and move into the "Local" folder.
3. Go to the "Microsoft_Corporation" folder.
4. Delete the relevant folders from the "Microsoft_Corporation" folder.

ADFDI-07528: An unexpected exception has occurred. The UI Controller cannot

Where we are is Safeway should not be bypassing Akamai as a special-case for use of the Excel Macro. We know Akamai is not the problem, we know going direct to Akamai does work – when we have an IP setup for direct access to Akamai via our FireWall.
We also know just using a Webrowser to the Fusion/HR modules accessing webpages, through our Proxy via Akamai works just fine. Even when the IP changes @ Akamai, the Webrowser=>SafewayProxy=>Akamai=>FusionHR path works just fine.
It is only the Excel plugin, when it must go through our Proxy that things fail. Thus, our current burning need is to know what the plugin is doing when it tries to establish the outbound connection to Fusion/HR. As I stated in a previous Email … my suspicion is the plugin is not obeying the local PC/Webrower’s configuration to “Send Requests to Webproxy”.
We need to get this suspicion validated (or not) and corrective code put into the plugin

Have you tried running adfdi ping test (run http://hostname:port/webapproot/adfdiRemoteServlet) in your IE? : https://wikis.oracle.com/display/jdeveloperandadf/ADFdi+Version+Check . Does it work fine without any error/exception?

Can't view my user control in the designer (An Unhandled Exception has occurred)

I'm using VS 2012, looking at some code I wrote some time ago. For some reason I cannot view the XAML in the design view, only the XAML view. I'm getting an error that says, "An Unhandled Exception has occurred". I can compile the solution fine,

I stopped when I saw stuff about databinding.
I guess your problem is you have code in your constructor.
A prameterless constructor of a view will be called by the designer.
This is probably trying to use things which aren't there at design time.
You can mock them or just exit out the constructor if you're in the designer.

During upgrade of EHP1 - NW 700 i am getting a error in configuration step like An error has occurred during the execution of the PREPARE_JSPM_QUEUE phase
The validation of the deploy queue was not successful. Request to check queue sapjup-queue completed with error. JSPM version is 7.01.4.0.17. Current JSPM log directory is /usr/sap/BIP/DVEBMGS00/j2ee/JSPM/log/log_2009_08_11_11_44_10.
You can find more information in the log file /EHPI/java/log/PREPARE_JSPM_QUEUE_CSZ_01.LOG.

Thanks for your response.I have went through the log wat u said and found that only Java Patch JSPM is deployed in my system and the others patches are found be taken from the xml file and not deployed due to this below errors.

When I use " NUM , SYSTEMIDNAME , SC_A , FC_A " column , chart is work well but add other column(ex. SC_B , FC_B) throws Exception.
What can you tell me about this?

Hello - if you are seeing any report problem or exceptions on UI, then (a) try without the filter. (b) Try another type of view and see if error reoccurs (c) see if your dataobject (the field on the filter) has any null or invalid data (or wrong type or format).
Also - for these type of errors - it is better to export your dataobject and report and send it to support. We have fixed these types of errors from 10.1.2 to 10.1.3- so I guess this is more with respect to your data or report design. Pl log support request using MetaLink or contact local oracle representative

An internal error has occured in the secLdap plugin

I am facing an issue that I can not login to the BOE via LDAP authentification. The error returned in a message box is as follows:
"An internal error has occured in the secLdap plugin."
I tried to login to the Enterprise server from two different workstations, and it works fine. It happens only from a specific station, and it also means, that a different user can not login from that workstation. So I took traces of the communication between the workstation and the BOE, and found, that the LDAP bind request is successful, but the following GIOP request from my workstation
to 'ContinueLogon' is answered by the BOE with a GIOP 'User Exception'.
The exception id has a little more details and reads as follows: IDL:img.seagatesoftware.com/OCA/oca_abuse:3.2
In a trace where the user logon request is answered correctly, this error returned from the BOE is not seen. By the way, I tested the same with completely disabled firewalls, did a complete re-install and SP install without success. I also tried two different product license keys. I am running on Windows XP, and Crystal Reports Developer v10 installation: CR Developer Product Version 10.0.5.1506 (Crystal 10 with SP6 (cr10win_en_sp6)).
I am out of ideas now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This error generally occurs when there is a patch difference on the client machine from the server machine.
Check the version of "secldap.dll".
1. Go to the "<installation directory of BO>:\Program Files\Business Objects\Business Objects Enterprise 11.5\ win32_x86\plugins\auth\secLDAP"
2. Right click on the file secldap.dll and go to Properties.
3. Select the version tab and check the file version.
Check the same on both the client and server machines, if it is different bring the client machine to the same patch level as of the server.
