Error and crash durring creation of Designer 2000 repository
I am a student learning to use Oracle and have run accross a problem when I tried to generate a Designer 2000 repository.
I have installed Oracle 8i Personal Edition Release 8.1.5 on Windows 98.
I logged on to Oracle using the internal id and began generating a repository, at the point in the process when it reaches these details:
Stage Details
CKTRIG
Creating the repository triggers
Object Details
TRIGGER
CDI_EL_CREATE_AUDIT
Staus Information
Submitting Definition/Statement..
cdapitrg.sql
I get the following error message:
ora-04089: Cannot create triggers on objects owned by SYS
I have tried skipping the step until it reaches one it accepts and then received a fatal error which closed the whole program down. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling and starting the process from the beginning and ended with the same results.
Does anyone know why this is happening and more importantly how I can get around it?
Thanks.
Am not sure if you were able to resolve the issue but below are some points:
a. I think the dlls sfabol and msa are not any more registerable, since they are more of VB.NET components and here assembly is registered and not the dll.
b. For logging into the application just ensure that you have user id in table SMOUSER and the employee for that user in SMOMITABT table.
c. If this is fine, then ensure that you have the latest BDOC metadata information on your laptop. I think in 5.0 also you need to use Clientconsole to download this information.
d. If this is all okay, then try running SQL profiler and check if the query to the ides db is being executed by the framework. If the query is fired then it means application seems to behave properly but the query is not retrieving relevant details.
For further details feel free to contact me..
thanks,
Piyush

Not a problem, please post the KJS error logs for me to hunt the
exact reason for the error.

RoboHelp 9 gives an out of memory error and crashes when I try to import or link a Frame 10 file or
I have Tech Suite 3. If I start a new RoboHelp project and try to import or link Frame files, RoboHelp tries for a while, then I get an Out of Memory error and the program crashes.
I opened one of the sample projects and was able to link to one of my frame files without any problem, so it seems to be an issue with creating something new.
Any suggestions? It happens when I create a new project and then try to import or link frame docs to make up the content. It starts scanning, then crashes. I did get it to the conversion setting page once, but no further.
It does not happen if I open one of the supplied example projects and link a file. But then it doesn't let me choose, during import, any style mapping. And I can't delete the sample project fold
Twice now it has told me when I tried to import (not link, but import) that my .fm file could not be opened, and told me to verify that Frame is installed (it is) and that the file is a valid frame file (it is).
The docs and project are in separate folders on my C: drive. -

Error and crash when importing
Hi,
Just curious if anyone else have had this issue, or can help
resolve.
Whenever I select "Import to Library..." or "Import to
Stage..." the application crashes. It never brings up the dialog to
select files. I get the generic windows error, something like
"Flash CS3 has encounter and error and must close".
I have already tried re-installing.Thanks for the reply!
The audio source is a 24-second long MP3 at 265kbps.
I've tried rendering with default losseless avi without sound, which still crashed and gave the second error message.
Other times, I've tried H.264 MP4 with and without sound at the original resolution of the comp (1920x1080) as well as resized at 1280x720. I didn't change any settings besides Format, Resize, and Audio Output. Even when trying to render under the Quicktime format for .mov files, without sound, I crashed (though this time I got the first error message.)
I've tried rendering different segments and the entire comp, too; every attempt after the first render failure has crashed and either given me both error messages described above or only the second error message.
Rendering with the audio file disabled in the comp has worked at Lossless .avi default settings with audio disabled. I tried changing the Format just to H.264 MP4 and the render failed, giving me the first error message even though the audio file was muted in the comp and audio was disabled in the render settings.
Also, this project and the sound file has rendered just fine on any format I had (used H.264 MP3 and Quicktime MOV) only a few hours ago. I don't know of anything that could have changed that caused all of these errors.
Thank you so much for the help, haha... -
Hi,
I am experiencing an issue very similar to the one described in (http://forums.adobe.com/message/243559#243559). I have several RH projects that have started crashing/closing when I save changes. The projects are all several years old, of varying sizes (15-200 topics), and were converted when I upgraded to RH 8 last fall. Initially, I had some trouble with the conversions, but attributed it to working with a trial version of the software while waiting for the company purchase of the full license. After receiving the license code and installing the available patches, the projects seemed to function fine for close to a month before this started happening.
Other information:
· I am using: Windows XP Professional SP3, Intel T2500 @ 2.00GHz, 2.00 GB RAM, RH 8.0.2.208. (RH HTML)
· I archive files on a network drive, but work on all projects on a local drive.
· The projects are not under source control.
· I do not have this issue when working with the RH CCC sample project.
I tried deleting the .cpd file before opening the project. The project still crashes upon changing and saving any topic.
I created a new project and imported some topic files. The project worked fine until I closed and re-opened it. Then, the project returns to crashing upon saving. I tried this several times with exactly the same result.
I don’t understand how this is related, but the only success I’ve had is deleting a line of HTML from the topics that references a javascript. If I remove the following line from a topic (save and crash the project) and then re-open the project (the change removing the line of code does save), I can then successfully save changes in that topic without crashing RH.
<script language="javascript" src="writetitle.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
I have been able to repeat these results with multiple topics. If I put the line back in, the project crashes upon saving – take it back out and I can save changes to that topic again. I can close and re-open the project and it performs the same.
The code is used in conjunction with a master template that contains a feedback form. The project crashes upon saving whether or not the topic is not using that template.
I hate to simply remove this line of code since I don’t really understand how or if that is fixing the problem and because that is what lets me know which topic any feedback is pertaining to. Thanks for any help.
TNSdoc2I don't know javascript from HTML. Here is what has worked for me. I open the Broken Links dialog. I open a listed topic using the Edit button. I find and fix the broken link. I save the topic. RH8 crashes. I jump to my open RoboSource screen and check in the topic that just crashed. When I reopen the RH8 project, the link generally shows as fixed and I can move on to the next.
In the event the check in function failed, RH8 displays a dialog asking whether I want to leave or replace the local topic from RoboSource. I have found that using the Merge button has resolved the issue so that the project remains active and the link is repaired. -
OOP unknown VI error and crash
I'm attempting to use the OOP capability in LabView 8.20 for the first time. In my class I have a main VI that calls several dynamic member VIs of the class. This appeared to work fine when I first created the class and its subVIs. I attempted to inherrit a new class from the original one. Now whever I load the parent classes main VI, it shows a broken run error and X by the VIs name in the error window. However it lists 0 errors. One of the dynamic VIs it calls has been replaced by the unknown VI questionmark icon. If I replace the unknown with the correct VI it appears ok but LabView performs a GPF when I try to save or run the VI.
Has anyone else encountered a problem like this or does anyone know a way around it?This is a common problem with LabVIEW OOP. The issue happens because the compilation process fails to update all the VIs in the project when change in the code occurs that affects multiple VIs. If you already are in a state where you have VIs with question mark, you need to manually replace them with the correct VI.
To avoid the issue later on, do the following:
1) upgrade to LabVIEW 8.2.1, LV 8.20 is not mature enough for LabVIEW OOP development
2) Keep your files backed up so that you have backups for at least a few versions that have worked. Using version control software such as TortoiseSVN is a good idea.
3) Use Ctrl + Shit + Run on any VI to force LabVIEW to compile all files in memory. Before you do this, open all VIs outside the classes in your project. After forcing compiling save all.
4) Remember that you need to keep all your class hierarchy in memory during development. This means that you need to have ancestor classes in your project in addition to the classes you
use directly
I try to cover these issues in more detail in my object-oriented programming article series on my blog at Expressionflow in future.

Labview 8.5 produces an error and crashes while loading
Hello,
Hello,
My research lab previously used Labview 7 Express. Recently my university purchased a site license for Labview and I am in the process of upgrading to 8.5 on several XP machines. So far everything has gone well (all machines with no IO capabilities) except for one machine. This machine is our primary acquisition machine and contains 3 NI DAQ boards as well as a GPIB board. After "sucessfully installing" Labview 8.5, I go to load Labview directly (not opening a specific VI, after rebooting) and it produces an error and asks to send the error to Microsoft (etc). I'm wondering if this may be something specific to this machine or if anyone else has had this issue?
Other points to note, I have not installed the device drivers for 8.5 yet which may be a problem. Also, I noticed that Labview 7 had a few bugs that were not present in other installations of Labview 7 (on different machines), which may be a problem with the specific machine. I'm avoiding uninstalling both versions of Labview for compatibility reasons, however this may be an option. Thanks!

ITunes 7 cannot browse album covers on this computer error and crash
Installed iTunes 7 yesterday, and now every time I try to go to certain pages in the iTunes store, such as movies or tv shows, I get an error saying "iTunes cannot browse album covers on this computer". Then iTunes immediately crashes. Has anyone else had this problem? Any fix??
Compaq Windows XPI have the same issue. Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I was on the Cover Flow View and it was working fine. I clicked on the full screen icon and the entire screen went random (meaning totally random pixels of color all over). I pressed the escape key and the normal screen returned, but it only showed a black section where the covers had previously been. I restarted iTunes and it started giving me the same message. I also can see them in the lower left and on the Album View. Just the Cover Flow view doesn't work. I downloaded the latest iTunes today and I keep all of the Windows updates on.

New Macbook Air with Lion. Installed a Dell 3100cn using LPD - printer is connected to my Cisco router via ethernet and I used IP address to configure. Printing to the printer also brings up this error message, but it usually prints OK. Trying to save as a .pdf gives the same message, and usually crashes the program (Chrome is the one I have used the most to try and save .pdfs, haven't tried too many others but seems to give same result). Could open .pdf from print to .pdf dialog in Preview but did not then try to print from Preview. Can't find anything relevant on the internet re this problem... please help, many thanks.

Unable to unlock tag; causes error and crash!
I am running InDesign CS3 and newly installed OSX 10.6.4 on a GS5 Quad-Core Intel.
I'm having difficulties with a multipage file that I created and tagged. It has produced an error message during packaging. And if I continue to package the file for print (which it will let me do) and then try to open the newly packaged file, InDesign crashes with the following message:
"Cannot modify elements that contain locked content, or are contained by locked content. Please unlock or check out the content and try again."
Here's the curious part: I happened to notice that one of the tags in the "Structure" panel seems to point to content in my document that does not really exist. In other words, I double click on the tag and a box is highlighted in the actual document; yet, the box does not highlight with either selection tool, directly. Additionally, there is no indication that the "content" there is locked, so I'm not given the option to unlock either the content or the mysterious tag, which I would like to delete.
I've never had a problem like this until recently, which leads me to suspect that my new operating system is not speaking to the CS3 version of InDesign!
Has anyone encountered this before?
Is there a work around? Or, am I doomed to scrap my very complex and otherwise completed document and rebuild the whole thing????
Any insights on this would be greatly appreciated!I was not able to unlock or delete the errant tag; however, saving an .Inx version seemed to eliminate the problem of crashing and the error disappeared. Good enough for my purposes!
Now, I can proceed with my print deadline.
Thanks a lot! -
Groupwise 8.0.2 error and crashing
Hello all,
I'm having a problem with groupwise and I can use some advice. A user of mine is having an issue when she composes new mail she switches from plain text view to HTML view and GW either crashes or it freezes, and a error message appears. I thought it was a local profile issue so I re created the profile and it still didnt fix it. In addition I upgraded from GW 7 to GW 8 and the issue still remains. This is an XP machine. I only happnes on thius machine, I tried another XP machine right next to it and it switched views from plain to HTML no problem. Im not sure if the user tinkered with some settings or what.

Hi,
Just a suggestion, before doing the whole uninstall/reinstall, simply try a reset on IE: Tools | Internet Options | Advanced | Reset (bottom right-hand corner).
Cheers,
Hey Laura and Bob,
For some reason that is grayed out. Im logged on as my administrator account and its still grayed out. My next step was to be logged as Administrator as in with the username administrator. I actually got it working now thanks for your help guys. I did the reinstall and I uninstalled additional browsers like chrome, safari and firefox. I will add them back when Im with the user after she sees it working again. I also disabled all the toolbars and add on (like snag it) in IE.
I'm so glad I came to this forums for ideas. Waiting for the guy that supports groupwise for my hospital would have been a lost cause. I'll be coming here for my groupwise issues from now on.....THANKS AGAIN GUYS!!!!! -
Pre 8.0 Error and Crash
Adobe Premiere Elements 8.0 produces an error PathUtils.cpp-190 and then crashes everytime I try to drag video into the timeline. However, no such error occurred when the Administrator was logged on using the same program. I'd like to think it is a problem and I should update to 8.0.1 or check the graphic card driver, but then why would it work on the same computer under the Admin login?
Is your account an Administrator? PrE (and most Adobe programs) really, really want to be run from an Administrator account.
