Error APPCRASH al guardar un documento en Illustrator CS6 64bits

Buenas tardes,
Al intentar guardar un documento cualquiera desde Adobe Illustrator CS6 64bits me aparece un error de Windows y no me deja guardar, sólo cerrar el programa
Tengo Windows 7 64bits, he actualizado Illustrator a versión 16.0.3.

AGM.dll relates to the font system. you possibly have a "bad" font on the system. Either way, start by running the cleaner tool and reinstalling AI.

Error when installing Adobe Illustrator CS6 (64bit)

Hello everybody,
I've been trying to install all packages inside Creative Suite 6 Design Standard CD but the installation fails, then decided to install one by one and noticed the error comes only when installing Illustrator CS6 (64bit).
My PC is runing windows 7 64bit and the error it appears says: win32 cabinet self-extractor stopped working.
Could anybody give me a hand with this issue, I already look on the web but couldn't find something that really helps me.

Illustrator CS6 64bit takes too long to SAVE

Hello Adobe Community,
I have an issue with saving files in my Illustrator CS6 (64bit), the saving process is too long, 5-10 minutes of wait and my laptop is getting iffy while saving. Sometimes Ai crashes in midst of my work or saving and I loose hours of work.
My laptop: CPU Intel i3, 8GB RAM, 1GB Nvidia Graphics, 480GB HDD, Windows 7 Premium 64bit.
I tried fixing the problem so far (unsuccesfully obviosly) by doing this:
1) Running all updates
2) Uninstalling excess fonts, I only have 180 fonts currently
3) I do not use FontExplorerProX or similar.
4) I turned off compression option during save.
5) I turned off making PDF copy option.
Same Ai on a much weaker PC in XP SP3 32bit has saving time of few seconds. This issue was nonexistant when I first installed Ai, but as time goes by its getting worse and worse, it seems.
I need your help and advice for setting Ai to save faster and behave better. Its just unbearable to work at this point.

Main HDD seems great with other programs, checked for bad sectors and fragmentation. All clean and lots of free space.
No overload in CPU or RAM, system is running smooth. No other programs crash. Checked CorelDRAW, Acrobat, Photoshop and Word.
I have Microsoft Windows Essentials for security since its not a resource hog and its free.
I noticed after 4-5 Artboards Ai becomes unstable and crashes. It utilizes no more than 260MB of RAM, CPU doesn't spike over 20%. So its not starving for resources, I think.
I have a Wacom Bamboo Pen Tablet installed, its running in the background. But Ai was slow at saving before I bought the tablet. Seems to work fine with it when I draw.
I'll try the different account option. Seem a bit unusual reason for the program to be unstable and slow at saving.

Error when trying to use ExportOptionsTIFF in Illustrator CS6

I am using Illustrator C6 and I am using C# and a com reference to make a windows program but I can't seem to get the export to tiff to work. Here is the method I am using.

I can use some of the other ExportOptions and they work fine - is theer something I need to do different for tifs?

Illustrator cs6 64bits and bridge 64 bits can't start since last update on windows 8

Hi, I have windows 8 64bits on a clean install, I've installed Creative cloud (clean install) and works fine, until last Creative Cloud update. Now Illustrator and bridge 64 bits cant't start. I see a message just says "Illustrator stop working" while launching the software. The 32 bits version works, but this is not normal.

Hi! thanks for your answer. But didn't work. I realized that if I minimize the screen to a half the illustrator goes really fast, but in the full screen windows goes insanelly slow. I have a 24'' monitor 1920x1200, wich is big, but is not very huge!
I've reinstalled the driver of graphic card, is a Quadro NVS 420 and other test is for example, right now I'm working on a AI file wich is a 56mb file, it has some jpg incrusted. When I delete the incsusted files works fast too...
It's weird!

Illustrator CS6 64bit - High Memory Usage

Hi All,
I have a 2 users in the office, and each is running a 64bit install of CS6 Design and Web Premium.
Illustrator on one machine with nothing else open and no documents open is using circa 120,000 kb of memory, whereas the other is under the same conditions but using over 400,000kb of memory.
Machines spec:
Windows XP 64 bit
4gb RAM
300GB HDD - over half is free space
Intel Quad Core Xeon processor
Has anyone had any problems similar to this? Its just a bit baffling.

Could be a difference in some DLL, different drivers or whatever. Anyway, Win XP64 is not officially supported, so you shouldn't expect anyone to unriddle this for you.

Adobe Illustrator CS6 errors

Dear everyone,
Nice to meet you here.
There are some software errors that i've encountered during my artworks on Adobe Illustrator CS6.
Details of error message as below:
1. Adobe Illustrator CS6 has stopped working during halfway working on my high and even low resolution of artworks. I can't even save my
    artworks, the only way I can do is close the program and re-launch again.
    error message: A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is
                                available.
2. Adobe Illustrator pop-up error while i'm in the mid of doing my artworks.
    error message: The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error. [UNKN]
So, we would be appreciate if you could provide professional advise / resolution steps on the above mentioned issues.

Nobody can tell you anything without some proper system info, details about your artwork, what tools/ functions are used when the crashes/ freezes occur and so on.

Adobe Illustrator CS6 has stopped working on Windows 7

I've seen a few posts about this and I stall haven't seen it stop or a fix that works.
I use Illustrator any length of time (up and running just a few minutes till up for weeks on end) and as soon as I quit (either by File -> Exit, the X in the corner or Alt -> F4) it closes panels and after a bit pops up that "Adobe Illustrator CS6 has stoppped working. Microsoft is looking for a solution to this problem."
It saves the recently opened files. All settings seem to save as I don't need to reset them. But of course its worrisome.
Note:
Everything has been unisnstalled and reinstalled 3 times.
All permissions have always looked okay.
I have tried running it as Administrator and still have had it happen
Illustrator has been the only program of all the ones installed to have this issue.
Are there any fixes I've missed? I'm a cloud client so have expected a patch for a while now to come out fixing this, as I've updated Illustrator a few times since starting using CS6.

Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details. This looks like a driver crash, so check your device manager.

Cannot update Illustrator CS6 Mac to version 16.0.1

I have Illustrator 16.0.0 retail on my Mac running Mountain Lion, and has downloaded he Updater to version 16.0,1
I have Illustrator 16.0.0, version 682 on my system.
When running the Updater, it end up with Installation fail, this update is not applicable for you.
I have tried to uninstall and reinstall Illustrator but the update problem persist.
All other updates went fine. and Adobe Application Manager stated that all my software is up to date, no update
I have just updated Prelude To version 1.0.2 without any problem thru AAM
Help please.

Illustrator CS6 crashes every time when I try to use the type tool over an image. HELP!

I've been working on several files for some package design. Every time I try to replace some text that happens to be sitting over a linked photo, illustrator freezes up and crashes. Every single time without fail, it fails.
I tried to move the same piece of text off the artboard, modify it, and move it back, but it crashed even while off the board (and not on top of an image).
What is causing this? Is there a fix?
I'm running Windows 7, up to date on all software (windows & adobe included). Using Illustrator cs6, 64bit. I'm running on a new machine as well - though I was having this issue on another computer as well.

Temporarily break the link to the image by renaming, then make your edit, then change the name back when done.
Also open the image in photoshop, check over channels and paths for anything strange or unecessary, do a save as to same filename and replace, this may flush out any problem with the image.

Illustrator CS6 hangs opening existing files

I have been having a problem with Illustrator CS6: Whenever I try to open up an existing file, Illustrator hangs. If I leave it long enough it will open the file. Any click causes a 30 second (at least) delay. I can work in it as long as I'm patient enough to only click once.
System:
OS: Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 - 64bit
Proc: Intel Core i5 CPU M520 @ 2.40 GHz
RAM: 6GB
User is on a domain
Illustrator CS6 64bit has latest update: 16.0.2
Creative Suite Design & Web Premium is installed. No other applications have this problem.
Problem has been occuring for two weeks straight.
Still incurring problem after doing the following:
1) Uninstall full suite and delete preferences; reinstall
2) Uninstall full suite, use cleaner tool, reinstall
3) Install/run FontExplorerX due to missing font
4) Make sure all applications are up-to-date
5) Run Illustrator as administrator and in administrator account (files still did not open properly)
6) Disable smart guides, and select no thumbnail in the layers palatte
Please let me know if you have any suggestions!

And theres your answer. Even with the old computer you are having the same problem with those files. It's not computer specific. The reason why you dont have issues with pdfs, pngs, word, etc is because they do not require you to read/write back to the original drive at all or as often. With adobe native files the computer has to communicate regularly with the original file. In this case the file is miles away. Now while you may have a super fast download and upload speed that does not matter. It comes down to latency or ping (the time it takes for your to read/write the file from the drive to your computer). This latency needs to be really low to not experience any delay. In your case it's not fast enough and it probably won't ever be unless you want to pay to have a dedicated line put into your house from your office.
You may not have noticed before do to the file type used, the size of file, the amount of images linked to the file, or the change in your ISP latency. Latencies have been increased in some areas to allow for higher bandwidths in residential areas as they all share the same hub. The bigger the gaps in latency the more data that could be shared in that space.
If you are unwilling to transfer files back and forth than try using logmein.com with a computer that is in the office. This will give you an idea of how much latency is actually taking place. You will see stops and stutters while your waiting for the screen images to reach your computer at home. I use logmein everyday and I have comptuers at each one of my clients, but I've never been able to work on files directly from my computer at home without transferring them their first. It just isn't applicable due to latency.

Illustrator CS6 bug

Hello,
Just installed the trial version of the new Illustrator CS6 release and what do I find... some very strange behaviour from the app.
Okay so basically all is well until I try to drag or interact with any object... a wall of gray just shadows the whole area of the screen to the right of the cursour. The gray mass would only dissapear if I pan the artboard or zoom in or out
What the heck is going on?
My system info:
Illustrator CS6 64bit version
Windows 7 64bit
i7 2600k
Nvidia 9 series
16gb RAM

I'm having a similar issue but it's not the wall of gray. I'm getting lines and blocks of gray. Our photographer is getting the same thing on a different computer and chipset. We are both running intel macs. Here's a screenshot. I really really hope they fix this because I just ordered updates for CS6 and would hate to have to use CS5.5.
