Error ArchivingStore

Question

I'm on step 2 of "Install or Update Lync Server System"
and I get the following error seen in the screen shot

I cannot seem to get past this step.  With SQL management installed I am able to login to blackhills\RTC and blackhills\RTCLOCAL but I cannot log into just blackhills.

Hi there,
it seems that the SQL instance name that you supplied during defining the SQL database is invalid. please check the SQL installed instance name. 
if you have installed SQL with an instance name other than the default instance for example
"LYNCSvr" the SQL FQDN should be supplied as follows in the side the topology builder when building the topology
sqlserverfqdn\LYNCSvr 
in order to determine the SQL instance name you can browse to the following registry key and check the value of the "installedinstances" key and use it.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\Instance Names
