Hi Guys,
Please let me know before I delete the Production version for a material what are all the steps I need to carryout.
Requesting to explain with detailed steps/Points.

Dear Kumar,
1.First check whether is there any planned order assigned with this production version in MD04 or else in MD16.
2.Either confirm these planned orders using T COde MFBF or else delete these orders in MD16 or else in MD12.
3.Also clear the reprocessing list present in MF47.
4.Do the variance calculation and settlement (KO88)
4.Now here this issue can handled in 2 ways,one is set the valid to date as the system's date to the production version.
5.If you want to delete the production version,then the cut off period has to be set by the CO part and proceed.

Error while giving the production line in repetitive mfg

Hello friends,
   When i am maintaining the production version in material master for repetitive mfg, and in production line when i am giving the workcenter which is in operation of rate routing, system giving me the error message that "REP01(which is my workcenter) is not maintained in plan (planning type = plant = smp1)".Message no. is CFVO90.
      Though i have got the solution of this message, but i am not able to understand the solution.
      Actually while creating the production version in material master, for task list data i was only maintaining the task list type, Group Number and Group counter for Rate Based only as Rate Routing.And when i would give the workcenter which is in operation of rate routing then system would give me the error.
       Later on when i maintained the Task list type, Group Number and Group counter for Detailed scheduling, Rate Routing, and Rough cut scheduling and than maintained the workcenter in production line,system didn't give the error.
      My question is as we are doing the repetitive mfg, and as we have maintained the rate routing, so why it so that in Detailed scheduling and rough cut scheduling also we have to maintain the Task list type, Group Number and Group counter.
     Plz guide.

Actually if i give the details of Task list type, Group, Group counter for Rate based scheduling only in production version and if i maintain the workcenter which i have given in the operation of Rate Rounting in production line then system is throwing the error mentioned above.
    Unless and until i mention the details of Rate Routing for all i.e. Detailed scheduling, Rough cut scheduling and Rate based scheduling, system is not allowing me to save the production version.
       As per your answer, even i am confused that as i have ticked the repetitive mfg in mrp 4 view and as i have given REM profile, so system should not give me the error when i only maintain the rate routing data in Rate based scheduling in production version.
      Is there any other way to solve this error.If not than whats the logic behind it.
           I hope u have understood my query.

when i am doing backflush through MFBF in repetitive man. i got below error.

Message no. RM149
Diagnosis
The system cannot find a production version with the data you entered.
Procedure
Check and correct your entries. Check especially whether the production version is valid on the defined posting date.
A production version must exist for a reporting point backflush in particular.

It seems Production version is not maintained. For REM production version is mandatory.
Go to Matrial master MRP 4 view click on production version...pop up screen appears..enter the version number 0001 valid from and valid to.and click on details.
Enter lot size if u have maintained any.
Select rate routing under rate based planning and enter the group counter.
Select BOM
Check REM allowed, enter the production line, enter the issuing and receving location.
click on check..green light will be displayed..if it is not displayed check the dated u have entered and correect the same...if green light is displayed production version exists...

The following simple program gets an exception {The product version and database version are not compatible} its very hard to proceed from here. Does anybody know what cause this?

For the error "The product version and database version are not compatible", as Emma said, the version number of the Service does not match the database schema version.
In your scenario, which version of database are you using? Please note that MDS update required after SQL 2012 SP1 installation, please refer to the links below to see the details.

Pls find the step by step procedure for creating / maintaining Production Version:
Creating Production Versions
1.On the MRP, Work Scheduling, or Costing screen, choose ProdVersions.
   The Production Version Overview dialog box appears.
2.Enter the following information:
u2013 Version number
u2013 Text describing the production version
u2013 Validity period
3.If a run schedule can be created for the production version, set the RS indicator.
4.To specify more information on the production version, choose Details. The Production Version Details   dialog box appears. Enter your additional information as required and choose one of the following options:
u2013 Continue to return to the overview
u2013 Next version to access the Production Version Details dialog box for the next production version
5.If you know from the start that you will need to enter more data than that offered in the Production Version Overview dialog box, choose New details. The Production Version Details dialog box appears.
6.To return to the MRP, Work Scheduling, or Costing screen, choose Continue.
7.Save your data.

But every time I launch Crystal Reports I am getting the following error message..

Well I found a temporary fix for this issue. I put the http://www.businessobjects.com/ as a trusted site in IE!!
First, get the URL of the site to trust. For example, " http://www.businessobjects.com/
.Next, Click on the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options". Click on the "Security" tab.
Click on the green circle with a white check marked "Trusted Sites". In the space provided, enter the URL of the site (you'll probably want to uncheck the box requiring SSL, which is a high-security link, for all sites). Click the "Add" button. Continue entering sites until you have them all entered, then click OK as needed. If you find another trusted site later, simply go back to this menu item and enter the data.

Error creating Production Orders in UNCONSTR version

I am copying prodcution orders from version 000 to unconstr version through Report I am getting following error.
Error creating Production Orders in UNCONSTR version and Message no. ZSXXPAPO140.
when I am executed in background it is giving following error.
PPM FG100203.01_19_FR04_P for product FG100203.01 is not valid at the required explosion date 14.01.2010 /SAPAPO/RRP 325 E
Please suggest me any one it is a great help to me.

It seems there is an inconsistent PPM FG100203.01 exists
in your planning version from which you are copying.
Check the possibilities of repairing that PPM and retry
copying. Orelse In the /SAPAPO/VERCOP transaction,
under the product selection criteria, exclude that item and
try copying the version.

I have a problem while production booking of a vehicle. It says Enter a valid production version. I have checked the version in Material master-->MRP4 view. The version is maintained there. What else whould i check ?

As this is Repetitive Manufacturing then , you should maintain the Product cost collector also. Please do maintain this & then try.
When u enter the group no of routing & also the alternat BOM & click on check at the top of the screen, When you click on check button then, the signals will turn to green if you have used the valid BOM & Routing group no.. If you get green in this screen then, there is no problem with Production Version.
Please do let me know for any clarifications.

Go to the MM02-MRP 4view clik on production version her you need to maintain the validity from From-To date as toadys date say11/11/2008 to 31/12/999 then double click on it then maintain the details like routing, bom and do the consistancy check if green light appear it means your PV is correct.

How to customize production version error message

I copied the BAPI_REPMANCONF1_CREATE_MTS into Z FM and when I test the Z FM, I wantedly entered the wrong production version say ABCD instead of 1234. The message field of my return bapi BAPIRET2 is populated with an error message saying that "Production version not found". Till here it is working fine.
I need to modify my code in such a way that if I enter the wrong production version, my bapi should error me in such a way that "ABCD Production version not found" in the message field of BAPIRET2.
Please sugesst me ideas for solving this.

Please follow approach suggested by Suman.
All you have to do is validate production version ( of that material/product?) against DB Tables before calling you ZFM or Std BAPI.
If you would like to go by my approach.. you will have to do something like this..
option1:
IF RETURN-TYPE = 'E' AND RETURN-ID EQ 'RM' AND RETURN-MESSAGE = '149'.
CONCATENAT 'XXXX' RETURN-MESSAGE INTO RETURN-MESSAGE.
ENDIF.
Option2: Create a Z class.
IF RETURN-TYPE = 'E' AND RETURN-ID EQ 'RM' AND RETURN-MESSAGE = '149'.
RETURN-ID = 'ZID'.
RETURN-NUMBER = 'XXX' -> Number in Z class.
RETURN-MESSAGE = 'your message'.

BDC Error in transaction C223 - production version mass maintenance

Hi Experts,
         I have created a BDC recording for Tcode - C223. In my case for each plant and material there is a production version. if production version already exists, then we have to modify the record, if no record already exists, then we have to create and have to press save. When i was recording the transaction, i have changed the existing record and pressed saved, it has given the message record saved successfully.
          But in BDC when i was running the same recording, it says function code not possible. I was giving my code, please let me know how to solve the issue.

Delete Production Version - Error

When I try to delete the production version, System wont allow to delete it and following message log is created -
Argument not contained in table T437s
Deleting Production Version 0001 for material XXXXXXXXXX is not possible
I checked table T437s and there is not entry for that matierla and plant combination. Also there is NO PCC created yet

Scrap Valuation Report by Production Version.

Dear All.,
Need the suggetions & help to me on the below mentioned scenario.
Scenario
        My Client into MFG sector. What ever the material produced by my client is have different production versions. Moreover, we have multiple plant in which few are Repetitive Mfg with Product Cost Collectors & few are Discreat MFG Process.
       As we will get the scrap values after each confirmation by Qty & Value.
       So, the user is asking the report on SCRAP for all the stages of Product (Structure in CS11) by Production Version Wise.
Current Availability
          We have standard Reports like KKFB, KOBB, KRM, S_ALR_87012151 - 52, S_ALR_87013148-49 & even in the cost estimate (CK11N) which are giving the Scrap details by Quatity & Value as well. But those value are limited to only one Prodcution Version.
Requirement
          I want the details on HOW CAN WE GET the SCRAP detailed analysis at Product Hierarchy with reference to all Production Versions.
Pls Give some inputs on this.

How to add production Version field in COOIS to selection options?

Dear Experts,
Need your suggestion for below issue raised by client.
1) As per client, he was running COOIS with the selection option of a production version. But currently he is not able to see this selection while executing a COOIS t-code.-----> Kindly guide me on its possibilities & necesary checks.
2) If I want to correct it & want to add Production Version field in COOIS report what steps I should take?
Need all your valuable guidence to resolve above issue.

Really thanks for your mail. Please see below comments-
1) I checked the transaction COOIS & also told user to select Production Version after executing the report by giving Plant code & dates. But user asking for this field before execution.
As per your suggestion I checked in Header level of first screen but its not showing me also.
2) I am using ECC6.0 version
3) One finding from my side- This is I am checking only selecting Production Orders. But when I am selecting only Planned order then Production version can be seen in first screen under Repetitive Mfg. section.
so kindly tell me why this not showing when Production order selected?
